    Words of Advice

Uh??? Nothing in the world (natural world, not society, which is artificial) gives us any purpose or law. Thus we are free. If your life has a purpose, then it's human-made, thus artificial. Sit in a forest alone during a whole day and appart from eating/sleeping you won't have any purpose in reach. Add more people but, not much will change. The idea of purpose only comes from habits. But at least we are free, are we not ?

"What if some day or night a demon were to steal after you into your loneliest loneliness and say to you: 'This life as you now live it and have lived it, you will have to live once more and innumerable times more' [...] Would you not throw yourself down and gnash your teeth and curse the demon who spoke thus? Or have you once experienced a tremendous moment when you would have answered him: 'You are a god and never have I heard anything more divine!'" The Gay Science, Nietzsche What if once you died, your life restarted, again and again, without any changes, in an eternal recurrence ? Each second would weight a lot more, that is, an eternity. Would you still sacrifice your present for your future ?

    What phobia(s) do you have?

I fear despair. This reminds me of a TV serie called 'Monk', in which the main character Adrien Monk has about 400 phobias. Among them are the fear of milk, bees, blenders, bees in blenders, soccer riots, ladders, fear itself, elevators, mushrooms, clouds and round things in general. He is nonetheless the best policeman in the world lol.

This is just a matter of definition. The word "accident" means something we did not wanted to happen. If you accept the laws of physic, then you're right.

That is why I did not finished my last sentence...because if you don't find the key, you can still try harder. I did not meant to be morbid, sorry if it looked that way.

Well first if future and past don't exist it may redefine your vision of life. Secondly, the point of things...life as you said isn't that difficult to find because there isn't any. The question is not a problem, the answer is. If life is absurd, and if time don't exist, then you should only live in the present, you shouldn't expect anything of the future and shouldn't care about the past. The real question actually is, how to live in the present ? Camus said: "The only serious question in life is whether to kill yourself or not". If you can't find how to live in the present...

This thread is called "Deep thoughts" for a reason so try to argue a bit more please. You look lost... It's off-topic discussion here !

Hmm maybe there are aliens on Earth, maybe not. To choose between yes or no, I'd say yes, for almost the same reasons as you, but does it actually matters ? Why should we care, as long as they are peaceful ? (obviously they are, granted they exist, or else we'd be dead) About your vision of time, I'd say it is a bit contradictory because if each choice create a universe, then there is no need for time. No past, no future, just different universes. It would be like a film, because a film is actually just a superposition of pictures. In the quantum gravity there is no time, thus "our" world is perhaps just a superposition of quantum positions. Then, just as colours don't really exists, time is just an illusion. This may be a bit hard for non-scientists, however you described yourself as "nerdy", so I believe there won't be any problems lol. Glad you agree with me, if everyone could be like you !
  9. Ike from Fire Emblem. A true hero, a deep character, a real model. "We are all family. We will try to understand one another, even when we disagree."

Right, but sometimes criticisms are constructives, and well that is the purpose of criticisms, point out what could be better, and then you can evolve and become a better person, or just find hope in the future, in a possible evolution, because living without hope is not living. Anyway you must never dwell on what you are, nobody is perfect right, but you can at least try to be better, even if you won't reach perfection. Just do not lock yourself away in your little routine with vapid problems, what matters is to enjoy your brief moment on Earth...not in today's societies, but on Earth ! (look at the sky during a long time and you will understand)

Finally a truly bad thing. Other posts makes me laugh.

To me, this 'flat earth movement' is obviously coming from a necessity for some people to distinguish themselves from others. People are rebels (although not deeply), thus they need to be seem different (in most cases to pretend themselves superior to others) and it can appear even in the most absurd ways (like this one). While confronting people with their own certainties is arguably good, the opinions criticized must have more weak points than the opinion defended, in order to keep some credibility (totally neglected in this example).

    Thinking... (yeah I'm weird)

Einstein said: 'Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.' You are obviously too young to know what you are talking about (naivety is what makes children so lovely I guess). When your finites hopes will be crushed by that divine and infinite stupidity, you will realize that what matter is true happiness, and that humans thinks they're unhappy because they don't know they are happy. Find your light in the abbyss of logic. Even so, let's admit you will succeed. What would you have changed ? Nothing. Life would still be absurd, death would still await us all, and each one of those stubborn actions would still be vain. Once you have realized that, we can start arguing.

You can't ask everyone to be less stupid. There are strong and weak people, outsiders and sheeps, and you just have to deal with it. No point dwelling on things you can't change, just accept it and move on. Making everyone think is the same as creating Heaven on Earth, without God (I'm an atheist, mind you). Life is a test. PS: no offense, but you seem to have quite a high opinion of yourself.

    The Routine

Well my advice to avoid routine is to keep trying to mentally change (conception of the world etc). Then your thoughts will eventually change your actions, and most importantly will keep changing, and you won't be struck in the routine, nor in anything else. You will be free.
