    How To CLose Account?

why would you want to close your account? Find someone low ranked and give it to them. Let someone enjoy it. It is funny that they wont just delete an account but they will delete something you post and leave no trace, not on the forum or in your profile. Whatever brat deleted my post, enjoy your power trip, you have a long depressing life ahead of you.

    Paint Separation Update

How do they do it? Is it a natural ability or is it something that can be learned? No matter how many updates that there are, when I think that the cheater and mult update must be next because what else is there to focus on? Tanki goes and pulls another rabbit out of the hat. It is impressive, I really did not see this one coming, totally blindsided me. As a mere mortal I looked at the garage and thought that maybe a quick selection option might have been in the works, so instead of leaving a battle I could pick a shortcut option for changing equipment. That is the only garage issue I had heard people discuss. I think it is impressive that no matter how many ideas or solutions put forward by the playing community to enhance gameplay, Tanki always manages to think of something that no one else thought of. To fix something that the simple players did not realise needed fixing. Splitting the paints into two separate options, protection and colour, It is amazing, I can only imagine what tanki headquarters is like with the ideas and the brainstorming sessions they must have. Rather than being perplexed or angry, I am impressed. Ingenuity has always been something I have admired. My only fear is that with the new update there will be a swarm of players returning this weekend which could overload the servers. Please ensure you are ready for their return. My one word of caution though, be careful that Tanki has not shot itself in the foot with this new update, after all with the new version coming soon it would be a shame if people were reluctant to move because of this recent update. High fives all round.
  3. No is my honest answer to the question. It's not worth playing to simply climb through ranks. Yes you get stronger turrets, hulls and paints but so does everyone unless you want to hang around low ranks and bully them it doesn't give you an advantage. It should be a nice bonus for hours and hours of enjoyable game play. It should not be a grind to rank up, if it's a chore then don't do it, there's nothing special waiting at generalissimo. I guess it gives a feeling of completion, nothing more in my opinion.

Why are all the generalissimos using EN2 ?

It could just be the hours that i play but en1 is completely void of choice. As to why there are generalissimo battles on en2 I think Elizabeth is correct. "if you build it, they will come" lol i don't play that often anymore but when i do it is on the russian servers, there is a lot more life. i'm sure there are some looking to be bullies but some just looking to get a game.

    Let's Discuss Product Kits

You will get a lot of fun with firefly for a couple of ranks but predator will stay relevant for longer. My heart says firefly but my head says go with predator :D

    Freindly fire

I wouldn't worry about it, no one going to get annoyed over a once off. Persistently doing it will tick people off.

Diversity vs A better, stronger equipment. [Opinion]

Personally I prefer diversity. It is always good to have something else in your bag of tricks. Firebird is also a good turret for polygon cp but you would need a decent medium hull for it to be effective. Vulcan is a good turret, it doesn’t suit my playing style but it is a good turret. It would go well with your m3 titan. If you don’t have a good fire protection paint, storm would be decent enough until you can get your hands on loam or zeus.

Does your post count matter ?

If I see someone typing something ridiculous I do judge them more if they have a high post count. I guess I expect someone with a high post count to be a member longer thus should be more experienced. It is obvious to everyone who wants to contribute constructive posts and those looking for another count. pet hate is when i see a question answered with - "I don't know". Why would you post "I don't know"??????????? If you don't know, you have nothing to contribute.

What kind of experiment is this?

Interesting .... wonder how long it will be before they remove turrets for free to play guys. Just drive around and get shot by drugged up premium accounts :D It wouldn't surprise me only for it would probably affect drug sales. But it is sad that the flash community has been reduced to guinea pigs for unity.

The Progress And Decline of tanki

I can accept what you have said and respect that you took the time to clarify a few points. I can also accept that Tanki does allow decent enough communication between the developers and the players which you don’t get with a lot of other games. That being said, I think what has contributed to the confusion and rumours is Tanki’s poor handling of the situation. It was Tanki who muddied the waters regarding the two different products. If it is a separate product then it should have been kept separate from the start. Semyon Kirov Posted 28 Apr 2014 - 11:08 Will there be a way to switch from the current Tanki to the new version? Or will players have to start from the beginning? The new Tanki and the current version will both exist at the same time. You will be able to play any of the 2 versions. You will also be able to copy your account from the old Tanki to the new one, but only once. This will copy your rank, crystals and garage. After that you will be able to play both the old Tanki and the new version There have been a few different topics regarding certain aspects of the game and the replies from Tanki’s moderators are usually along the lines of “developers are too busy working on unity”, “tanki doesn’t have the manpower to deal with certain issues because of unity “ . If it is going to be a new product then really telling players of the current game that developers are busy working on its replacement rather than addressing the current issues is not good enough. I know Tanki has thrown out a few improvements recently but I am sure a lot of flash players will wonder what other benefits/ improvements could have been achieved by now if the developers were focused 100% on the current game eg: (mults, cheaters, hackers). Current players were excited, they were led to believe something exciting was coming and we were all going to be a part of it. They had more patience because they felt it was going to be worth it for a better game. Now if flash is going to be run as a separate entity, then really any benefits or improvements that come with the new Tanki are of no concern to the flash players unless they abandon their current account and start over. I guess flash players are starting to realise that they are going to be continually the poor relation to unity. It is inconceivable that Flash players who don’t abandon their accounts will be given the same consideration and support as the unity version which is going to be Tanki’s flagship for the coming years. So rather than being able to celebrate Tanki’s rebirth and move forward in unity (pun intended) we are going to be witness to its slow demise with battles becoming fewer and fewer and chat eventually falling silent. Personally I had a feeling something like this could happen so I decided not to put any more money into the game a while back until I knew more but I could certainly understand any recent buyers unhappiness with the recent news. They will be kings of an empty castle. Personally I got my money’s worth so I am not too concerned. Ps: Granted the decision has not yet been made regarding transfer but it is no longer definite either.

The Progress And Decline of tanki

I would think tanki makes most of its revenue from lower ranks/new players. Like anything, when it is new, it is interesting and more enjoyable and people more likely to drop a few $$ on it. But you can only blow someone up so many times before it doesn’t give you the same return of satisfaction, it will diminish. From what I have seen, as you move up in ranks, available battles decrease, especially in en. Now when I started there was no shortage of battles, where did all those guys go? They should have progressed at around the same rate as me, so where are they? From my own experience, I would say brigadier is the start of the end for a lot of players. The game has a shelf life, some people hang around forever but in general, I would think a lot move on after a year, clans may extend it slightly but I would think only for the minority. The fact Tanki has refused to put all those rumours to rest regarding accounts not being transferred to unity only makes it more obvious that they are not worried about losing all those high rank players. It only really affects high rankers and yet tanki is not able to reassure them, if they were Tanki’s golden egg, Tanki’s first priority would be to put them at ease. I don’t think they are as important to tanki’s bottom line as they like to think they are. They may lose current players with the move to unity and the change of graphics but I am sure some genius locked up in the tanki basement figures they will increase their target market with the improvements and they are not too worried about what the current batch of players think because the new batch of players are around the next corner. I guess Tanki wants to be McDonalds, be everywhere and making lots of money rather than a fancy restaurant catering to sentimentalism. Way of the world unfortunately.

When a DM is not a DM

I play them sometimes but like any other battle I play now, when i start to feel something aint right i just leave, no point wasting time and effort with any of it. " Deathmatch (DM) is the simplest Tanki Online game mode in terms of rules and basic tactics. In Deathmatch (DM) everyone plays for himself killing each other, trying to get maximum frags (kills). The more frags a tanker has at the end of the game, the more crystals he earns. That simple. Because Deathmatch has nothing to do with teamplay (unlike in TDM and CTF modes), the final score and the prize crystals depend only on your own playing skill and tactics. Playing Deathmatches (DM) in Tanki Online is the safest way to earn crystals. " "Some tankers use to form alliances in Deathmatches, but most of them are a waste of frags: they just narrow down the circle of targets and hence frags. Though alliances sometimes still make sense: if there's an ememy who's not claiming for victory in DM game and he's a thorn in your flesh, try to ally with him. That way you may get more frags. And yes, unlike TDM or CTF modes, forming alliances in Deathmatches is legal in Tanki Online."
  13. Upon careful revision, we realized that implementing the measures in question all at once would have affected the game’s economy negatively So the economy of the game, people are not buying a good turret, hull or paint, they are buying an advantage. That’s what all these kind of games come down to, an advantage over the other guy. Now if I spend money, I want an advantage. I did spend money on the game and within a few weeks what I bought was nerfed, I got a slap on the hand that day and I learnt my lesson. I still had my shiny turret and hull so I should have been happy but I obviously wasn’t because the advantage I had purchased was now gone. If you spend money on the game, you are purchasing an advantage, now if that advantage is priced too low then everyone or at least a lot more people will pay but then the advantage is lost. So why pay? It is a little bit like drugs, they are great when the other guy doesn’t have them but if you are both drugging, the advantage is gone but you are still losing drugs, so you are now drugging purely to maintain equilibrium, not good. So no longer would Tanki be selling an advantage, they would just be offering you parity and people want an advantage, human nature. Also If crystals are devalued too much then battle rewards become insignificant and one of the games key motivators is lost. I was in a battle a while back, the battle fund was huge, it was a 999 ctf battle, hours and hours of play, I got about 40k crystals. Which is about $20 worth, now would I be willing to play for hours and go psycho (lol) when other team starts making a comeback for $10 worth or $5 worth? probably not. Should I be buying crystals at the same value as Russian players? No, I don’t think so. The average monthly wage for en community is about 2k a month, I think Russia is around 500 a month. The exchange rate is an exchange of currency, not earning/purchasing power. It would give en community a real term advantage over Russian community. which I think already exists. So while I like your reasoning I think it is slightly flawed, they didn’t say revenue streams, they said the games economy. But this is only my current opinion based on limited knowledge of events and I can be corrected. Also I think Semyon Kirov does a good job, I have worked in jobs where you are put on the front line and there to deliver the bad news and take the flak for other peoples decisions, it’s where you earn your money and I think he does it well. i'm not sticking up for Tanki, I have given them a piece of my mind before lol but I do like fairness.

Will daily challenges ruin the game more?

Nope I was right the first time, not as rewarding as they were.

Will daily challenges ruin the game more?

I didn't like the idea of daily missions but so far unless they change and become less rewarding I have to say they proved me wrong. Benefiting way more now then before.
