And why TO does not know this --- is mind blowing. One is left to conclude that they do know but just don't care. Very puzzling no matter how one approaches this phenomenon. Wow.

Dictators!!! They frown on fun
-
The developers/designers do not play the game
-
Replacing upgrade of specific features of equipment like speed/damage with bundle-only upgrade was also very bad. Deciding to penalise self-damaging turret users (like thunder) by subtracting kills was also very bad Forcing end of match because it seems that a the "outcome" was predictable was also very bad. I have been playing for over 5 years - I can go on

... from 5 years ago + new turrets

To punish and enslave

Master of sarcasm eh?

What a monumental waste of developer coding skills - shame. t t t t

More time is being spent TRYING to play now than actually playing. Does TO not know that a browser needs time to "get used to" a map? - that being bounced around from map to map upsets browsers? To think that developers actually spent time doing THIS -- (shaking head) If developers actually played the game, these colossally unappreciable "updates" would never be conceived in the first place
-
The only reason I am not MORE appalled - is that I have been witnessing this special brand of foolhardiness since SHORTLY after I joined Tanki Online 5 years ago - it has been constant
-
Begging won't help - Tanki Online does not care about players. You should have seen how wonderful the game was 5 years ago. Speed, damage, armour could be upgraded individually and less expensively - no more - now only bundled upgrades. I player could decide to remain in a match - losing or winning - for fun - no more - you get kicked out like it o not. The list can go on and on and on. Tanki Online does not like human players - they want the game to be played only by robots who can buy buy buy buy buy They should employ more historians and perhaps fewer developers/desginers. Historians would tell them that NEVER in history has taking away choices/freedoms/individuality lead to happiness.

But these types of "updates" are tanki's recent history/trend. 4 or 6 years ago, the game was fun. The urge to control players is so strong that they are willing to risk losing them
-
Tanki was AWESOME -- 4 YEARS AGO. Wicked update after Senseless update after Unwanted update after Limiting update after Restrictive update Tanki Online hates it when players enjoy themselves
-
Newcommer, Tanki does NOT like it when players have options/choices/FUN. They like to dictate everything
-
Match making should be a SUGGESTION not a law. How many people enjoy being forced to marry someone ? Give a list of games where compatible ranks can be found - divide the list by game modes - Do not select a game for me? I can think for myself !!!!!
-
It is painfully obvious that Tanki developers/producers/designers/people do NOT play the game!!
-
Tanki does not really care what players like. They have an agenda. So far they have gotten away with disregarding players. This recent update is evidence that they are now bold and daring to no limit.
-
Money, mulla, cheese, dough, dinero. In other words, $$$$$$$$.
-
Tanki does not care what players *want*. You guys who are new to the game will soon be convinced of that. It is *all* about the game owners.

How will protection be decided for players with multiple paints that currently offer protection against the same turret? eg. Dragon has 30% against Ricochet and Vortex has 15% against Ricochet. Which level of protection will the player end up with against Ricochet? 30% of 15%. To be fair it should be the highest among all the paints in the garage.

Early termination is currently too simplistically designed. The 50% trigger is too simplistic - 1 vs 2 is a different dynamic than 5 vs 10, although both are 50%. I have won games against such odds many times. "Losing" also needs to be more sophisticatedly defined. The reduced time clock is also too short. Also, the "obvious" outcome of a game in terms of which team wins should not be of paramount importance. Many players, including myself are very happy to play battles even when it is obvious that the opposing team will win. Some of us play to play - not just to win. Don't just "kick" the teams out of the game because the "outcome" seems obvious by using a 1-minute clock. Why not cut time time in half instead? If at least 1 person on the losing team wants to remain in the game and be pummelled there should be a button on screen that let's that player choose to stay in the game. The "winning" team should have no more right to play than the losers. And what if the loser is about to complete a mission and needs the current game to do so? Of course, if all players of one team leaves, then the time can be reduced to 1 minute. Otherwise, 1 minute is too short. The original clock should be restored as long as one player joins the losing team, even if the ratio is still 1 to 2 or less. Who knows if the new player would make a big difference? Preserve the "fighting" spirit. The game already has far too many cowards who "run" as soon as they think they are losing.

Of course I agree with everyone who says that this update is NONSENSE. It really does seem that Tanki is counting on the stupidity of players. They have chosen to abandon building intelligence into the game. This game might attract players who do not care about the beauty that the game used to be - the physics, the customisability, the matching-equipment-upgrade-with-play-style-ability, the player individuality. But those players will never grow to LOVE the game. Eventually the game (this version or the next) must be loved to survive. By way of this update, Tanki has made a decision that those who love the game should get lost. This is baffling!!! It is inconceivable that this update has emanated from the same genius that would have been necessary to have fashioned the game in the first place. SOMETHING REGRETTABLE HAS HAPPENED TO THE CREATIVITY THAT THE CREATORS ONCE CONSIDERED PARAMOUNT. And WHY not make spending ATTRACTIVE? WHY not make players WANT to spend? Taking away the CHOICE of WHAT to pay for is a step in the WRONG DIRECTION. Offering (in kits) equipment already-BOUGHT (by not adjusting the cost of the kit (ATTEMPTING to make players purchase equipment MULTIPLE times over)) cannot be a step in the right direction either. If I purchased the M2 Hit-em-hard turret, and M2 Hit-em-hard is part of a kit, unless the price of the kit is reduced by the price of M2 Hit-em-hard, then I would be buying M2 Hit-em-hard again EACH time it appears in a kit that I buy. And if the price is NOT adjusted so that I am discouraged from buying the kit, does Tanki noi LOSE A SALE it COULD HAVE HAD? Is all this rocket science? Back on topic - this update is anti-Tanki.

Impossible that the devs don't realize this, and insulting that they dumbed it down ON PURPOSE. This was an ambush
