And no battle created by the damned and having a name so wicked that the devil himself would be mortified to utter could possibly be handled in a deterring manner, therefore there couldn't possibly be means to implement this in a productive way. Is that what you're telling me?

I assume you mostly play with your friends/clan, so easy for you to talk about team work. On the other hand, I'm a single player and I prefer to play alone rather than join a clan or play in a group of friends, and I believe most players in the game are also single players. I have played and won many no-supply CTF battles, but I've also wasted many hours only to end up madly frustrated with my teammates. Supply-free battles may be more enjoyable to friends/clans but they are very risky for single players as you mostly don't know what teammates you'll have to deal with. By using supplies, you'd have a chance to capture the enemy flag single-handedly, but in a supply-free battle you'd never be able to do it on your own. It's safer to rely on yourself with the use of supplies to capture the flag rather than join a supply-free battle and hope that your teammates will be cooperative. That's why supply-free CTF battles suck for single players! I'd love to see another single-player mode that is truly single-player, unlike DM where teams of players can be playing against single players. I'd also like it to have a purpose other than merely destroying tanks - some kind of a mission that involves (single-player) strategy.

How about also making available last year's Halloween map in CTF mode with the special 10x gold boxes?
-
It's a very popular choice and you can make a lot of crystals there faster than other maps/modes, but again very boring!

Why Supply-Free Battles Suck
PuncherTank replied to PuncherTank in Why Supply-Free Battles Suck Archive
Hello, The excessive use of supplies (drugging) is probably the worst aspect of this game, especially for non-paying players. The obvious option they are always offered is to play PRO battles with supplies disabled. But supply-disabled battles suck big time, not because you have to pay for the PRO pass, which isn't really that much at high ranks, but because of the following reasons: 1. Clans and friends dominate: When a bunch of random single players find themselves in a battle against a group of friends or a clan on the opposite side they will have almost no chance of winning. The opposite team will have the advantage of better communication and cooperation and such friends/clans usually have maxed out equipment. With no supplies to make up for some of the weak links on your team, your fate is doomed. Many PRO battles are dominated by clans or groups of friends. 2. You get stuck with losers: With no supplies to rely on, the skills and equipment of your teammates becomes highly crucial. But as you may have already often experienced, unless you are playing with friends you can rely on, you are more likely than not to find yourself among a team half of which are losers, mults, useless, under-skilled, under-equipped, etc. And at some point most of your teammates may run away leaving you to a miserable fate. 3. CTF becomes dull: CTF, which is the most popular game mode gets very boring with no supplies, and usually both teams keep guarding for the whole match with fewer attack attempts. And who enjoys attacking when all the enemy players are guarding and you have no supplies to keep you going, which means 99% of the time you'll be killed before you even touch the enemy flag? Not very enjoyable! 4. Isidas cause significant imbalance: With no double armor and repair kits at your disposal the number of isida players on each side becomes a crucial factor that can determine who wins and who loses. And how lovely it is when 4 out of 10 players on the enemy team have isida (whether they are defending or attacking), while your team has one or none! Isida is a major source of power imbalance between teams and it becomes much worse when there are no supplies to use. 5. Higher chance of getting killed before you catch a gold box: Since gold box is a big attraction to many players, you'd have a better chance of survival when the gold box drops if you use supplies. With supplies disabled, catching a gold becomes not only a matter of luck being in the right spot, but also a matter of luck not getting instantly killed as its dropping. That's why despite the fact that I hate druggers, I mostly don't play supply-disabled battles even though I have a PRO pass. The only "playable" map and mode with supplies disabled seems to be Polygon CP and some other small maps in CP mode, which you get bored of quickly. Did I miss something? -
There should be a link to the player's profile page at the top of the screen. Anyway see jack2b111

If you are one of the strong players on your team, opponents will try to get a combo that works best against the equipment you currently have rather than what you have in your garage. If you are not one of the strong players on your team no one will bother basing their choice of equipment on your garage choices. So basically, having your garage items displayed publicly changes nothing. Unless you're talking about 1 vs. 1 battles, studying opponents' garages won't be very useful or practical, especially when there are many players in the battle and many choices for each. If someone has nothing better to do with their time other than watching others' stats and trolling in chat then let them do that, it's their problem. Just don't mind it! If you let it get to you then that's your problem! I see one reason: to motivate players to play the game more, drug more and maybe SPEND some money so they save themselves "embarrassment" and have more to show off. It's fine as long as no personal information is displayed on profile pages, it's just technical statistics that can mostly be roughly guessed by playing with someone in several matches. For example, anyone who has played with me a few times would know that I mostly use a combo of shaft/twins/mammoth/viking/titan/prodigi/taiga. I have several m0's and I haven't bought isida m0 yet! I'm a big shaft "noob" and I still have railgun m0! Joke all you want about it!

You can't run away every time you encounter an enemy with 50% protection from your gun. Don't focus on variable details and forget the point here. Stealing kills is unfair and frustrating and there's nothing that justifies allowing it. This is only a small part of DM's downsides.
-
Get your railgun and try to kill my mammoth/prodigi when I'm drugging...It might even take you an hour  Don't just consider the turrets/hulls you use.
-
Yes, but then someone spawns near you and while you're in sniper mode focusing on your enemy, suddenly you hear a buzzing noise around, or your screen gets blocked by fire or your turret starts rotating even slower than it does as you're being killed from behind. And good luck trying to reach your camping spot(s) again after you're killed! A shaft needs a "peaceful" camping spot and this can never be the case in DM battles. Also as you said that large maps aren't popular and you'd rarely find a battle on those maps anyway. That's also true for team battles, but in comparison, in team battles you have 50% less chance of being killed when gold drops, plus you'll have teammates to come to your rescue when you're under attack. The more druggers there are the harder it will be for a non-drugger to score as a non-drugger is highly unlikely to be able to destroy a drugger. Also it's easier for a drugger to steal a kill from a non-drugger, especially with fire and freeze. I actually would love to play single-player battles, but not the current DM mode. There should be better single-player modes and they should have their own maps designed specifically for single-player battles. The spawn mechanism should also be reconsidered so you get a fair chance to move and take cover when you respawn rather than be placed in a "naked" spot as an easy prey for prepared attackers.

Forgot this one! Added to the list.

I guess many will be going that, but then less action means less gold! This is not just about the Halloween map, the DM mode in general has many downsides. There should be a better single-player mode. Sad that they decided to remove CP from Tanki X and keep DM. I'd say only keep CTF, improve CP, remove DM and TDM and add other modes for single and team battles. I suggested a new mode called Gold Hunter which I think would be fun to play. There are many other good options that would be much more fun than DM and TDM.

Hello, Here are some of the reasons that make deathmatch an unappealing mode to many players, including myself. 1. Druggers dominate: Top scorers in DM are mostly druggers. A non-drugger will find it very frustrating to play alone against druggers. At least in team battles you may have druggers on your team to balance supply use on the opposite side giving you a better chance at scoring, especially against other non-druggers on the opposite team. 2. No strategy: In DM the only thing you have to do is keep shooting at every tank that moves until you get killed and then do the same again. In team battles, winning also involves the fun elements of strategy and planning where winning requires more than just random shooting, especially when the two teams are equally powerful. 3. No safe spawn zones: In DM you can spawn next to one or more players with their three supplies on, which means you will most likely be killed at the spot, and this may happen repeatedly. In team battles, you spawn in your team's base, which is more likely to be safe from enemies giving you some time to think, go to your spot and activate supplies. 4. Not suitable for all playing styles: In DM you only have one task: attack. Unlike in team battles where there's also a place for players who prefer less aggressive gameplay by playing defense or healing teammates. So everyone, regardless of their skills and playing style, should be able to find a place in team battles where they can do something productive. 5. Not suitable for all turrets: Some turrets may be very hard to score with in DM, for example: shaft will most probably be killed before reaching a good camping spot, thunder will be highly self-destructive especially that you're more likely to encounter an enemy at your spawn spot, isida is useless unless you have a lot of supplies to spend, etc. 6. Secret teams: In DM there can be players "secretly" allied with each other which gives them a great edge over single players. This defeats the purpose of DM being a single-player mode. In team battles you know for sure who's with you and who's against you and both sides should have an equal number of players. 7. Lower chance at catching a gold box: Usually players stop shooting when gold is about to drop in DM, but not always! Many times I've been killed in DM as gold was about to drop. And if someone attacks you and you shoot back at them chances are other players will kill you as they might think you're killing others not knowing you're just defending yourself. In team battles, you'll have teammates (including healers) to come to your rescue when you're under attack at gold time, you'll also have safer places to hide near your base and rush to the spot when the gold box appears. 8. Kill steals: So you spend a minute firing at a drugging mammoth and then someone else makes the final shot and "steals" your kill, and then kills you as you're waiting for your gun to reload. Still excited about the 10 times more gold boxes on the Halloween DM map?

This would be a cool feature to grant to premium users, but there must be certain limits to prevent having too many highlighted battles in the list, which would make the option less effective. Maybe even premium players should have to pay something for it.

The moment you start silencing the rising criticism is the moment you start losing! Pushing players to trash talk the game on other gaming forums where there is no one to defend it is worse.
