It is the name of a musical instrument, a brass horn used in military and marching bands, kind of like a little tuba. Still bass clef but brighter and higher scale. No I don't play one or own one. It is just the first thing that popped into my head when I signed up for Tanki

Not worth continuing to waste your time in a game where your teammates are blundering around cluelessly or lying upside down, while you are being methodically and repeatedly spawnkilled by a squad of drugging cheats for the crime of having the highest score on your team. This is the norm these days rather than the exception.

euphonium started following Patch Update #451 and Is Tanki more fun now than it was a year or two ago?
-
I see the real problem with Tanki these days is that the game is infested with cheats and power leveling squad play - that means multing until a battle fund builds up and then the mults start moving over to the power side where they suddenly develop skills. While they are multing they either do nothing to help win the battle, or actively sabotage. There are enough hacking game modders to ruin about 65% of battles alone. All of this behavior is technically against the "rules" but the rules are not being actively enforced. When I say infested, I mean infested: imagine eating in a restaurant where the food looks good when they set it down, but then cockroaches and rats start running across the plate while you are eating and carry away the majority of it before you can finish. It's not just a problem of p2w or jerking the updates around any more. An average player doesn't have fun playing and is demotivated to keep trying, or to ever spend another dime on this game. Saw a news flash this week where Battleground is using an anti-cheat tool to boot 6000 cheats a week. That's more than the average total players of this game on a typical weekday night EST. You want to get into the big leagues? Boot the cheats, make the game PLAYABLE and ENJOYABLE and you might stand a chance. Forget the bling bling and the complexities and the fancy graphics. Gamers want excellent gameplay. And NO, I don't think it is as fun to play as last year. As a matter of fact it has been steadily degrading over the last 4 years. I used to play for fun, now I work for my one mission a day and then go do something else.

Can we expect that mission chain rewards will nerf back to normal at the end of the month? I have enjoyed collecting triple rewards all summer.

I get #2018. Now there are more posts than the number of years since Jesus died. All the previous vitriol notwithstanding, I have to say that personally I was looking forward to a MM system and was hoping it would be awesome. It still could be. This game should be playable and fun by/for ANYONE, not just the mightiest players or the biggest spenders. I'm going to keep a positive attitude until we see how it all hashes out.

"Group" button is a dream come true for externally-organized raid squads. Probably the reason for most of the horrible mismatches. Any truly new players coming into the game at this time, from Miniclip or Steam or wherever - kiss them goodbye.

there. I'm done, for now

"Tanki should simply give more crystals to difference-makers, as an incentive for joining losing teams." That right there is the best idea I have heard in this topic so far.
-
Probably because you are either a dev yourself, or the brown-nosing vomit-breathed devil's advocate you have proved yourself to be over and over in this forum. Why don't you get another hobby instead of trying so hard to stir the pudding, you ape-like, unimaginative troll.
-
"Matchmaking System"? Should be called "Mission-Killing System". Why don't you just be honest and remove daily missions altogether. There is no "match making" going on in here where you turn off most choices and thrust players into imbalanced games where they can be slaughtered by tankers ten ranks above theirs. # STOP

I'm done. So long - and thanks for all the fish.

Your game is being destroyed by lawlessness. Every form of cheating is happening more as the rule than the exception. Every rule in your rule book is being broken constantly in normal game play right down to the very first game a new player could join as a recruit. If you are trying to kill the game off, you are doing a great job. Wake up and smell the coffee, Tanki.

Patch Update #430 - New Striker turret, new Alterations and decorations
euphonium replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Reminds me of the back end of a '53 Buick. -
"Why" ... I have to think it's because they want buyers to have fun, as usual, and non-buyers to be the cannon fodder .... as usual. I bought the pro pass just to see how it would work and so far it has been a waste of crystals, just like the last time I bought one. Every battle I have joined using the battle button is a stinking sewer of drug monsters, or empty. Really not worth playing any more. The raiders and hackers and cheats and mults are all still in every game, in greater numbers than ever.

REALLY LIKE 5 second self destruct. REALLY REALLY LIKE 4 second rail reload. I can live with the power reduction. Not so crazy about Isida sefl-healing going bye bye. Still trying out my lesser-used hardware to see what's working and what's not.
