    Changes to micro-upgrades

Not that expensive aye ? To fully micro upgrade just 1 piece of equipment to M4 level, it's between 900,000 - 1000,000 crystals. At the current rates that works out at $270 , £177 , eur 252. Remember that this is only for 1 piece of equipment. For a full M4 combo including paint, and let's face it, there are lots out there now. You're looking at spending approx. 2 weeks wages in Britain based on the minimum wage. This will be a far greater number of work hours in other countries. I have to ask you a question, do you really believe what you are saying, and if so, do we need to call a doctor ?

Let me put the cost of this into real terms. To fully MU a single M3 turret, hull or top 5 paint, will mean a player having to pay out the best part of 1 million crystals, and that is without speed ups. In terms of cash outlay at the current prices, this equates to approx. $ 270 / £ 177 / eur 252. You can pick which ever currency you like , it's still a huge amount of money for something you will NEVER OWN. And remember, that's only for 1 item ! Do they think we are crazy enough to pay that amount of REAL CASH , for DIGITAL CONTENT, that's controlled by TANKI STAFF ! and may or may not be around in 6 months time ? To compete with the amount of M4's out there now, this is exactly what you'll have to do unless you save for a couple of years. Standard M3's are Cannon Fodder and saving the scraps you manage to accumulate from these battles will probably take longer than that ! Would any of you walk into the " The Bank of Tanki ", hand over that amount of money and say " would you mind looking after this cash for me please ? As I trust you impeccably, and know you'll look after it as though it's your own "

As I said in an earlier post. This is exactly the reason we were not given a discount on micro upgrades in the last three sales. They have obviously had this planned for some time along with the other questionable updates, to maximize the cash flow into their very sizable pockets. No one was given the chance to MU equipment, as they know too well that most players wait for a sale before doing it. If too many players had MU'd in the last few months that would mean less cash for them now, knowing fine well what this latest update entailed. Very sneaky of them and I've had enough of their unreasonable greed.

    Changes to micro-upgrades

I know it may be obvious to many of you, but I thought I'd just highlight a few of the events running up to this fiasco of an update. 9 th September - Tankers day - no mu sale - Prevent as many players as possible from achieving maximum upgrades on any 1 parameter - thus limiting the number of players receiving fully MU'd equipment. Why ? ...... More potential sales in the future. 17 th September - direct access to equipment available at your rank - Conveniently released (for Tanki that is) after Tankers day sale, which is a hefty kick in the cluster for those who have just spent a small fortune buying M2 and then M3 Equipment. Possibly even M0 through to M3. This sucks a lot of players into buying that M3 they always wanted. The ulterior motive behind this is to get as many players on M3 equipment as possible. Why ? .... It's going to cost them far more to fully micro upgrade once this latest update is released. Halloween celebrations - no mu sale - As with Tankers day sale, we see reductions on most items but not micro upgrades. Further dissuading players from maxing out at least 1 parameter and receiving fully micro upgraded items. The other thing to think about is, they may well be deliberately ruining this version to force as many players as possible over to Tanki-X when it's released. That way they don't have to waste resources on this version, and those players who have spent a lot of time and money in it, can't complain that it was just closed down. Then again, it may well be that I'm completely wrong, and my skeptical side is just working overtime.........But I think not !

    Changes to micro-upgrades

Well said, this is pretty much how I feel. For some time now I've logged on to play the daily missions and maybe stayed for an extra battle or two, but no more than that. With so many M4's out there now, I see no point in continuing to play. Without a garage of M4 equipment it will be so much harder to be competitive, and with the micro upgrades being so expensive, that's just not going to happen. Add to this the players who have benefited from this in a big way, will now be able to spend more crystals on supplies as they no longer need to save it for MU's, so the drugging problem will most likely escalate also. Not only for this reason, but (as I mentioned earlier in another post) the supplies are the only edge a lot of players will have against other tanks now. Before anyone mentions a pro pass, I already have one, but even half of those games have supplies activated. I believe this steamy two tone version of Tanki will slowly slide down the log flume when Tanki-X is released, and with very little chance of moving our equipment over to the new version, there is no way in hell I'm going to start over again from scratch. I hate to think what devious plans they will throw at us when that kicks off. I'm getting out while the going is good. Like you said in your post, I will also log in now and again to see how this progresses, but it's time to move back over to "The Hunter", and probably also give "War Thunder" a try.

I completely agree, it's a crazy way of "Striving for near perfect game balance " In a previous V-Log, I remember when they decided to remove all the old kits because " It was upsetting the game balance too much " It was said then that with the new kits it would only be possible to obtain equipment that was available at your current rank...."No more early access !" That didn't last for long...I'm guessing not enough players bought the trash kits that were being offered, and the Devs did a U-Turn. There we were back to early access again when the "revised" kits rolled out. So game balance was not such an issue all of a sudden ! Now when we look at this scenario with the stinger kit as you mentioned in your post, it seems obtaining M3 equipment 8 ranks early won't upset the game balance either. Tanki staff, please Do Not mention that you "Strive for near perfect game balance " It's a lie that only you believe ! In the past year I've seen more U-Turns in this game by the Devs that my Sat Nav has thrown at me....and that's so old it runs on Dos !

Downvote ! I'll start by saying I did receive two items fully mu'd to M4 as a result of this update, but looking at the whole picture and how it will effect the game I believe it's a terrible update. It's obviously just another update putting finances before the quality of the game. And yes I know it's a business before anyone decides to go down that road, but if the quality of any product is poor no one will buy it, regardless of it's nature. This will throw out the game balance so badly on many levels from low to high ranks. For anyone who has recently reached the rank of Master Sergeant and purchased the Firebird M1, and then fully mu'd just 1 parameter, they will be thinking all their birthdays have just came at once. For they are now running around with an M2 Firebird ! , when the majority of players at their rank will have M0 turrets. This is obviously repeated through the ranks where a player has just bought the first available turret or hull on the next tier. The problem is even greater where players may have bought a kit with a turret and hull becoming available 2 or 3 ranks early. Just try wiping the smile off their faces if they fully mu'd just 1 parameter. Moving on to the higher ranks, the players who benefit most are those players who have been at the rank of Gizmo for a number of years. These players have had nothing to spend crystals on except micro upgrades and supplies. I would estimate that a large proportion of them will have at least 1 parameter fully mu'd on most items they own in the garage. This creates an even larger gap to contend with for the higher ranks and even new Gizmos when joining these battles. Some months ago in an earlier V-Log, it was said about the developers..." We strive to achieve a near perfect game balance. " Really ! If that's the case then what's going on here ? This update swings it in the completely opposite direction ! Do you still stand by this viewpoint, or have the powers at be, given you a new directive ?
  8. Sonofchrysalis3, You can twist what you said, and move the goal posts as many times as you like, it will never change your original post. Oh, and you completely missed my reference as to when you introduced emotion into your own argument. But Oh well, I'm sure you'll figure it out. I'm taking no further part in this conversation as I have a great Hans Christian Andersen book to read.
  9. You just shot yourself down in flames there, as you did exactly that in your original post. You tried to hit on the emotions of others when you concocted the story about the starving child.......Which was way out of order as there are thousands of children in that very situation around the world, and for you to use that for your own gain is sickening. You also mention having no facts in an argument. Your original post was riddled with fiction......Your attempt to "tug on the heart strings" with the subject I just mentioned was just one instance. Now you say "They may not, in real life, be couch potatoes who make no contribution to anything valuable, but they acted like it. So according to you, if you complain about something you are a useless good for nothing couch potato! Look up the word "complaint" in the dictionary. Nowhere will you find that definition..........More fiction. So given the fact you argued using emotions and no facts, by your own definition your own argument is invalid, and you have ended up looking a "tad silly"........Your words, not mine.
  10. Yes I did see your reply. I read it while "sitting on my butt doing nothing from sun up till sun down". The fact that this is your writing style changes nothing. If a newspaper were to write a slanderous article about someone, and then found themselves in court for those actions. Would the judge then say " You can't be held responsible for your fictitious and derogatory statements, because that is your writing style. I think not ! My judgement still stands. :P
  11. Sonofchrysalis3, The reply by Contradiction was deserving. I'm glad he took the time to respond to your often insulting, fabricated, and misleading diatribe. Or would it be more fitting, (given the fact you presume I'm a child who does nothing except sit on my butt from sunup to sundown) and say.........." You were Owned ! "

Episode 63 of the V-LOG is here

lordmostafa on 05 Jan 2015 - 14:54, said: Tanki is a free to play game, meaning there isn't much of a difference between a buy and a non-buyer just that buyers get things faster with no hard work, and that is the special thing about Tanki. It wont change. Closed. How I wish this was the case. It seems that premium account holders will earn an extra 50% crystals per battle. More for them to spend on upgrades in preparation for the next time you face them in battle. Add to this the special paint that offers 20% protection against ALL turrets. This is clearly a case of a buyer gaining an advantage. I don't mind that the premium account let's players move faster through the ranks, or the fact they can buy XT items in the garage. That's incentive to buy it on it's own, if that's the kind of thing you are looking for in the game. But to offer an exclusive paint is giving a clear advantage to buyers and it smarts of " Pay to win " We already have this to a degree with the supplies. We certainly don't need to add fuel to the fire, and go down the road of so many other MMO games. Premuim accounts could have been introduced without offering this advantage.......Bad Move Developers ! This game is sliding down the toilet pan and gaining speed rapidly.
  13. On the plus side (for me anyway), this may entice players to buy a pro pass. I have held off on buying a pro pass as there are just not enough matches to choose from, and of those that are available a good percentage of them still have supplies activated. Unfortunately if this happens then one of two things may take place. It won't be long before players start to realize they don't need to spend a fortune on supplies. Good for pro battles but bad for the Tanki bank balance. Or the haven that players have within pro battles, who prefer to play without supplies, will gradually diminish as the pro matches fill with supply battles. If the former is the case......cue the U turn by the Devs when they have a drop in sales..... as they did when they removed the old kits as the game balance was unfair due to the early access of equipment. That didn't last long as the kits were no good and not being purchased. Now what do we have ? Early access to equipment again because it hurt the bank balance. Yes it's a business, and bank balance will always win out over game balance. So for this reason Devs, please don't continue to say you strive to achieve near perfect game balance. It will never happen. As many have already said the matches are over far too quickly now. Before this update, I have joined a battle on the losing team with fewer players many times. The battle lasted long enough for the teams to equal out and turn the score around, this won't happen now. Semyon has said that the battle funds are equal over a 2 hour play period for example, this may be the case....if you can get players to join at all when the winning team is in the lead by a good margin. It will be a scramble as to who can kill the few players on the losing team as they re-spawn. If you happen to be in the wrong place when this happens then the battle fund will certainly not be the same. Fewer chances to kill fewer players does not equal an unchanged battle fund. Matches will restart more often and I've lost count of the times that a battle has restarted with the teams being unevenly balanced in numbers.I'm talking 4v1 or even more extreme in some cases. (I'm guessing players leave as the next match is created but before everyone re-spawns) This causes others to leave, or if you are lucky, wait for more to join. This won't happen because the match will be either be over before they get a chance, or players would rather join a battle which they have a chance of winning. I hope this means more supply free Pro battles, but I worry where Tanki will try to claw back the cash if it does.

    Let's Discuss Product Kits

Many thanks for your reply Slightly_psychotic, very nice work putting that together. It's now bookmarked and will be a great help. I bought the Jackhammer kit not too long ago but there was no paint included at that time. I must have got it on it's last appearance without the respray. Edit. Now that I think about it, am I correct in saying that I may have received Savanna in the Jackhammer kit ? I can't remember buying that paint on it's own.

    Let's Discuss Product Kits

Hi guys, Apart from the Medic kit are there any other kits that contain Isida M3 ? Can someone also please tell me what kits are available with an m3 heavy hull, and are there any kits that contain Rico M3 ? Thanks.
