    Let's Discuss Hammer!

    I own a Hammer almost m4 with fully MUed damage and impact but i can say i hate it now after all the changes they did. Its good only if used with DD's otherwise it wont have any chance in drugless battles or against heavier hulls than hornet especially if they wear a minimum protection. When it come out the turret was definitely overpowered but then first the design was changed slowing the turrets rotation due to the longer barrel, then the impact was reduced and whats worst the shoots tended to get above the clouds if an allied tank was near your opponent; you couldn't even help someone to flip back because the shoot would automatically fly high; and at the end last but not least important change was to damage, reload and scatter angle ruining this turret completely!

    Player 5534058 sabotaging

    delete He was preventing our team from capping flags, blocking us for our opponents to destroy us or pushing us off the map. He behaved like recorded on the video during all the battle. The whole team voted him, even a player that joined later after a player named "xose551" left out of despair, but sadly to no avail as none of the moderators came to our aid. The sabotage can be seen at minutes: (0:02 - 0:05) , (0:20 - 0:25) , (1:45 - 2:01) , (2:23 - 2:30) , (2:52 - 2:56) , (4:07 - 4:12) , (4:31 - 4:44) Needless to say we lost the battle and a few thousand crystals, whats worst it's not the first time i experienced a sabotage by this player, and i own to players like this all my bad karma because i couldn't restrain myself and swear at them from time to time. I also saw others topics complaining about him so it seems its his habit to behave like this. I sincerely hope he will get an exemplary punishment because players like this are ruining the game's reputation and make us other players that support Tanki as much as our financial possibilities allow us think ten times before investing real money in it.     Let's Discuss Hammer!

    I have another complaint about Hammer. I already mentioned before it sometimes uses to hit the clouds for no reason bu now i also noticed half of it's pellets hitting the ground in front of the tank they were supposed to hit, that happening without hull inclination caused by me moving forward or backward or being hit by other tanks. It seems to happen randomly but with some frequency as if there was some hidden "critical chance". I don't need to point out to the other Hammer users how much problem this causes to me when i need to place perfectly 3 shoots against enemy vikings that are approaching me, especially Isidas. Some time has passed since i first addressed this problem on the forum but since then nothing changed, however i am still positive about the Tanki developers resolving this problem but i won't hide that i will be seriously disappointed if Hammer doesn't get back at least a bit of its old precision.

    With that "noobs as you like to call them" i was thinking about the way Tanki population in general calls players that lack skills or use their combos erratically, not you in particular. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding as english is not my mother tongue so i tend sometimes to formulate badly a phrase when translating in my head from my native language. Getting back to the topic, you are absolutely right to criticize the enemies that Vulcan was facing because none of them even tried to cope with him let alone forcing him to at least readapt his tactics. Even he was playing like a noob firing continuously unless he was trying to see how much he would endure that way. When i stated that Vulcan was too OP i based it on my own experiences that sadly i cannot share visually with the others in the forum because i can't record a decent video without lagging constantly. For an example i will mention a game on Noise map where i was playing in the red team where a Titan/Vulcan m4 and i with a Viking/Smoky combo were staying on the far left of the map near the hangar, i heavily mined the ramp next to us while a Mammoth/Freeze mined the tunnel access to the flag and stayed above guarding it. Since we started playing that way the enemies weren't able to steal a single flag while all of the other teammates were free to concentrate their efforts on stealing the flag, even if the opponents managed somehow to survive our fire and slip in the tunnel he had no chance to get past the Freeze with me driving immediately up to give him support, the Vulcan stood in his place as a fail safe in case we weren't successful. Now imagine playing this kind of game with supplies turned off, almost mission impossible counting also on the fact that there are always a few noobs in every team that keep destroying the flipped tanks. I have another ton of other examples but i wont bother the readers writing a novel. :))

    Let's Discuss Vulcan!

    I always talk about battles fought between skilled players with top notch equipment because i find no joy in defeating noobs as you like to call them (there are plenty among the high ranks too) or players that didn't had the possibility or luck to get a good combo. I'm aware that the Vulcan in the video could have been taken out without problem by a Rail, Shaft (not encountering many these days since the laser addition) or any other long ranged turret if given the chance, however that Vulcan was getting the most damage from overheating, if he took a small pause to prevent that he would also turned the turret better to inflict more damage to his enemies. As i mentioned before at m4 the barrel really doesn't need much to start firing so a smart user would be able to fire almost indefinitely from a good defiled cover like that walls with a crack in the middle.

    Now pair that Vulcan to an Isida or Freeze or put let's say a Smoky to cover him and you can imagine the magnitude of devastation it can lay over his opponents, not to mention if it were fully Mued with a good fire protective paint.

    You are aware we weren't talking about 1 vs 1 battles but about team battles were one needs to worry also about the other tanks and whichever combo they are using! And as every player with skills knows the successful team is the one that constantly pushes forward putting pressure on the enemy and keeping control over the center or middle ground as you want to call it, and that's the case when Vulcan appears in the story. With his constant and long rang fire he's able to pin down the enemies while his teammates get in range to use their turrets (hammer, fire, etc.) or clearing the path for them to get the flag. For a dueling weapon i clearly wouldn't pick Vulcan because i was already aware of its vulnerabilities having played against it in the test server where i was able to defeat it without a sweat using Wasp/Smoky but that was a 1 vs 1 battle and paints weren't available. What's worst at the time Vulcan was released i was constantly using Hammer, being at first unaware of the bug which prevented Vulcan to hit its turret, i thought Vulcan wasn't that big of a threat so with the crystals available i bought Nano paint, oh boy was i wrong! :))

    Trying to go against it in pro battles without supplies is near to impossible. I can't even get close to it least attempting to circle it. Whats worst it dominates even the small maps, today i was almost unable to get near the flag in Farm and a few days ago 2 Vulcans completely blasted away my entire team in Hill map which at first i thought was impossible but i was persuaded very soon when they started camping each on one corner of the map crossing their lines of fire like in WW1 tactics. When you combine it with a heavy hull and a paint with a good fire protection like 2shots2kills mentioned before and not to mention a good teammate wit Isida or another turret to cover his blind spots it totally unbalances the game. As a Hammer user I'm aware of how irritating this turret was before the paints got out, but now it blended pretty well with the other turrets in the game unlike Vulcan that although the protective paints were released at the same time as the turret its still having an overpowering impact on every battle it appears on (i saw an M4 Dictator with Africa paint melted in a matter of seconds).

    You first need to get close to be able to circle around them. Try to do that against a Vulcan/Titan or Mammoth standing on top of a ramp let's say in Polygon map, unless you respawn behind him its practically impossible!

    The devs should really do something with Hammers vertical aim. It's starting to get very irritating shooting the clouds instead of the enemy when an allied tank stays near him or being unable to defend yourself from team players that try to flip you over preventing you to catch the gold box!

    Did anyone noticed that since they changed the Hammers design and impact force its seems sometimes his shoots fly above the enemy tank even if the barrel is perfectly aligned with the opponents hull. It happens to me more frequently when shooting at enemy Hornets and Wasps, so much for the developers statement the turret is more precise now. I also noticed that when i fire standing still and close to a building the pellet holes appear to almost hit the roof which is way too high as if the tank stood on a ramp.

    I don't know how long Vulcan needs to warm up at lower ranks but if you ever played against m3 or m4 i assure you it really doesn't need that much time to start firing, so its very hard to find cover if using any hull but Wasp or Hornet but this hulls are not good to use with Twins anymore since they nerfed the turret, especially the impact force. I also noticed Vulcan has an effect of slowing a tank he fires upon even if it hits its flank and in doing so it really renders maneuvering the tank difficult. With a turret that deals more damage per shot i could use peek & shot tactics but with Twins the maximum damage i can deal is 13 per shot and whats worst i wouldn't be able to fire both barrels because if doing so my tank would be too exposed.

    You said it, if it gets close, sadly i found that hard in most maps except hill and a few others. Try to win using Twins against a skilled Vulcan user in relatively small maps like Combe or Short bridge and tell us how it went. As you mentioned Vulcan is in trouble if someone sneakes on him and takes him by surprise but that's hard against a good player that is fully aware of his surroundings.

    With the introduction of the Vulcan turret, Twins became completely useless in 95% of the maps due to the time it needs to get in range to counter the Vulcan especially if mounted on a heavier hull. After the Shaft i can say this is another turret i wasted crystals on!

    True! Curiously they forgot to mention that facts in the topic! Now i cannot flip an enemy Wasp at point blank range with my m4 Hammer. Whats worst even its turret rotation seems to have slowed down due to the longer barrel, now they only need to reduce its damage and voila its done, we can scrap it! I thoroughly plan my garage but in vain since it appears they modify, for the worst, every single turret i possess and they even did it with one of the two hulls i always use. This last update has done it, i' m not investing a dime anymore on this game since my intelligence was offended by that "ohh look how menacing Hammer looks now to your opponents" bull*** when in reality this gun was nerfed and every serious opponent i will confront will be aware of this fact!

    I'm not happy at all! New look means nothing to me if i must trade off in return its impact force and rotation speed due to the prolonged barrel What's worst its not the first time a turret that i have in my garage gets its properties changed in a negative way the last being that laser addition to Shaft that made me remove it completely from my gameplay.

    Power-ups should definitely get nerfed a little bit, as some players have mentioned before, or at least double armor forcing heavy druggers to be more cautious instead of having them charging like rams and bulls straight on. A few minutes ago i found myself in a ridiculous situation defending a flag where a drugged Viking (with Rico and wearing Prodigy paint) tripped two mines, was hit twice by a Rico and got unload on all the charge of my Mk2 Freeze and still managed to destroy my Mk2 Mammoth with Spark paint and get away with the flag, not to mention that when i was respawning i noticed other three of his teammates fully drugged following him close by; a desperate situation even for the most skilled player that i'm not!

    I always rotate my turret to aim enemy tanks, i usually use both hull and turret rotation to fight freeze users that already started to slow me down. The problem with Rico is i can't use it anymore as middle ranged gun against skilled players, Its enough for them to move constantly at some distance and my shots fly above them as no one is present there unless of course i aim exactly at their tank when firing but until the shot reaches them, having lowered speed, they have already dodged it. So this is what bothers me, Ricos lost ability to anticipate enemies movements due to lowered projectile speed combined with vertical auto-aiming!

    I already wrote it before, how could any lag be involved if i fired at an opponent that remained fixed in one spot, i hit it once then missed it twice then hit it twice and then missed it once again, the projectiles were simply going straight through his turret! there was no lag, i know how it looks like but nothing like this happens when i'm using other ranged guns. I would like to see how you manage to hit fast moving hornets and wasps at ranges of 50+ meters especially if they don't stand on the same plane as you!

    Could you please tell me what skill is required with Rico to hit at some distance a fast moving opponent since every shot flies exactly above the enemy tank even if it is shot in front of him with perfect timing. As i mentioned it earlier in the forum i don't mind the reduced damage and other features but the lowered projectile speed combined with shot "auto leveling" renders it completely unusable at some distances, unless firing at static enemies! I almost forgot to mention also all the bugs im experiencing with it having multiple shots flying through enemy tanks (some of them driving straight towards me or not moving at all) forcing me to fire all the clip to destroy a hornet without Rico paint (we were both Mk2). I will also mention the unfairness in situations when there is a tank wreck between me and my enemies and they still manage to hit me through it with Thunder and Smoky, not to mention the Rails that can hit me firing through their own "still functional" teammates, while i am unable to at least bounce off my shots from the wreckage. For now i don't have any recorded evidence because im lagging slightly when using bandycam but i will post some videos when i get myself a new cpu unless of course the problem will be solved until then.

    Anyone experienced bugs using Rico after last rebalance? Now multiple shots seem to go right through enemy hulls without damaging them, and there is no talk of lagging because the shots failed to hit also tanks that were standing still or driving straight towards me! Also Ricos increased projectile range is almost completely useless with reduced firing speed because when shooting fast moving tanks in their flank the shots tend to fly right above them even if i perfectly aim in front of them anticipating where their position will be the moment the projectile reaches them, all because of the shot auto leveling. If i stand on higher ground its impossible for me to hit them at some distance and sometimes the shot fly over even if we stand on the same level. It also annoyes me the fact that when a destroyed tank lays between me and an enemy tank, lets say a tunder or smoky, they still manage to hit me whilst my shots never reaches them until the wreck disappears. I dont mind the reduced damage per shot but the problems mentioned above almost totally ruined it for me.

    Is Lag hack possible? which ruins the game

    Same happened to me and my team yesterday in Silence map playing CTF. Our opponents needed only one flag to win but we started to catch up with them once some inactive players left and other taked their place. They started to get desperate as we organized our defence very well destroying wave after wave of drugged tanks whilst our fast hulls bringed home their flag at a steady pace... then suddenly... BUM... everybody starts to lag. At first i tought i was the only one lagging so i refreshed quickly my page (not wanting to lose time waiting to get server error as i usualy do) to re enter and contine the struggle, but surprise surprise the battle was over and a new one just started (sadly at least 6k of supplies were thrown to the wind). Later i found out that everybody in my team lagged... hmm... how convenient, so i asked myself how was it possible for the other team to conquer our flag since lags of such proportions seemed to affect everybody not just a single team. For now my luck guess is a new type of hack as you all metioned before since its not the first time this week something similar happened to me although i dont have any proofs. Lets hope the devs give us soon an answer of what could be the cause of such an unnerving situation!
