    Ideas for Turrets!

I think that a minelayer turret would be interesting tactically. it would be a turret that dispenses mines instead of shooting, there will be difference between this turret and mines; the turret would have a small hatch or barrel that lays the mine by shooting it in front of the tank, the mine will have no delay before detonation. It will be significantly weaker then an actual mine and will only last a minute before it disappears. Because it dispenses forward, it can also be used as an ultra close range weapon. I feel that with balancing, this could be a very dynamic and interesting turret.

    Firebird Vs. Freeze

Umm, i think Firebird is anything but slow... in fact it's to fast to be painful either lol

  4. How to Attack Hello! AceAgent here with a complete guide to attacking in Tanki Online. We’ve all been in a game where players are uncoordinated and try to steal flags by themselves, a player uses a weapon in a totally unorthodox role (ever seen a shaft try to take a flag?), or perhaps a lone tanker tries to invade an enemy camp without support! While most experienced players would pass this off as them merely being stupid or lacking in common sense, it’s often because they don’t know any better strategies. So in this article I will teach (or for some review) strategies that will be use in every game. I will cover how to maximize D/L in TDM, how to effectively steal flags or support the flag stealer in CTF, how to invade enemy-held control points in CP, how to hold your own in DM, and the combinations used for all of these. TDM TDM, probably the most predictable game mode of a war game, is the easiest to play. Why do I say that? It’s because it’s not near as complex as CTF or CP, and is considerably less stressful than DM where you play solo. Hulls Since the point of TDM is not speed like in CTF, stronger hulls are usually favored. However many skilled players are able to use light, medium, and large hulls to much the same effect. The most effective equipment ultimately depends on the map size. Generally in larger maps like Serpuhov or Dusseldorf, light or medium hulls like Hornet, Hunter, and Viking are desired (at M1 Hunter is the better choice because it has better health and speed). Although I’m sure no one relishes the experience of meeting a Mammoth in one of Dusseldorf’s alleyways. On medium maps like Rio or Silence, heavy hulls are used to much better effect, often able to camp or steadily advance on enemy positions with little assistance. In small maps, heavy or medium hulls equipped with a powerful medium or short range weapon can rack up kills and skyrocket their D/L with some skill. Turrets Contrary to popular belief, I personally don’t think there is ONE best weapon for TDM. Again, it depends on map size. I classify the weapons into four categories: short range, medium range, long range, and infinite range. Short range weapons such as Firebird, Freeze or Isida are best played in smaller maps or as support in groups. This is especially true for Isida which is very useful due to it’s healing. The medium ranged weapons are Twins and Ricochet. These are beautiful, all around weapons that can be effectively used in really any map (and are very powerful on Hunter). Smoky and Thunder, often called the most realistic of the turrets in Tanki, are also good all around. They’re especially powerful on Dictator, but can also be paired with Wasp for a very dynamic combination. Thunder’s splash damage is ideal for damaging multiple enemies and earning points for each one :D. At last we come to Railgun and Shaft, Railgun, like Smoky and Thunder, is more a all around weapon than a sniper like most people say, it is very versatile and really comes down to skill in a duel with another Rail. Shaft on the other hand is the true sniper of the game, it’s best if this gun stays back and snipes or camps in a discreet location on the enemy base. *note: Hammer has not been ingame long enough for me to give an educated analysis. Combinations Since turrets are what really do the business in this game I’ll be pairing up based on gun instead of hull. Isida: An essential turret in TDM, it’s good with anything short of Dictator. Firebird: Almost universally used with light hulls or Hunter, TDM is no exception. Freeze: Since in TDM it won’t be used as a defender it’s best used with a light hull. Twins: Like I’ve written above it’s a perfect match for Hunter. Ricochet: In TDM it’s best with Hornet, Dictator, or the medium hulls. Smoky: As a good all around turret it’s good with everything, but it’s definitely able to deliver more damage with a medium or heavy hull. (May I suggest Titan? It looks REALLY good!) Thunder: See Smoky. Railgun: Very popular with Hornet due to hornets balance of speed and health (and aesthetics), but is also commonly seen with Wasp and Hunter or Viking. I would not recommend pairing it with a heavy hull due to almost no maneuverability. Shaft: Best paired with a heavy or medium hull, but if you’re confident in your team, a light hull can also be very good. Strategies When raiding the enemy base in groups Isidas are an essential support weapon, when you see your Isida is low on health try distracting a enemy and letting the Isida take it out because the Isida gains health while dealing damage. Although rarely used, when attacking in a group you can bring along a Shaft who would fall behind and cover you. Firebirds and Thunders are the best for attacking groups of enemies. The turrets that are one-shot-per-reload such as Smoky, Thunder, Railgun, and Shaft should always be using the peek-a-boo tactic. Ricochet often can destroy an enemy tank by itself in one clip; each shot, multiplied by 10 or 11 (how many shots there are in a clip) is usually enough to take out a slightly damaged Mammoth of the same modification. 5. do we submit our guide as a response to this topic?
  6. Try something like Hunter - Thunder Dictator - Twins Or try some more unorthodox combinations that still have potential such as Dictator - Freeze Wasp - Shaft (which is actually pretty common at WO ranks)
  7. lava, is the worst, the icon was definitely misleading
  8. but dictator is a boss... especially at M2 and M3

    Tactics for hammer

lol yea as the second most expensive M1 it's not very good, but if its range were increased any further it would be OP

    Tactics for hammer

If you're out of action and in a safe place but don't have a full "clip" (3 shots) discharge what you have before going back to battle as that will give you an advantage.
  11. When fully MUed Dictator has 30 more HP than Viking
  12. yup right after hornet, but you have to admit both have very well designed aesthetics!

    Record of crystals in Tanki

the most I've had at one time was around 50 000 but I spent it on Rail, Twins and Thunder M1 and currently have 16 000 (racked up in the last day or two with the double battle funds.
