Part 4: An Unforeseen End! I glanced at the line of German men, in a perfectly constructed line from behind a corner. Rats! They knew I would defeat Boris. They had very precisely planned this out to every possible outcome. Without much thought, I instantaneously turned to make my way out of the city. I dragged Boris along my like a prisoner. Although, he followed willingly, as he probably knew he had no other choice. Which he didn't. "You have failed," he said with a cold sly tone. I had no concern or the necessary time to come back with a witty response. Shortly after, Boris smoothly transitioned back to his moaning and groaning. This was, without a doubt drawn by the merciless blow he sustained to the arm about a half hour ago. I continued sprinting, with absolutely no idea where I was headed. I did know in couldn't give up. And with the German soldiers hot on our trail I knew failure wasn't an option. I had been moving constantly on my feet for about and hour and I was extremely exhausted. I could see a miniature town in the nearby distance. Boris caught the direction in my eye and said: "Don't get your hopes up, your inevitable death will occur shortly." Puzzled about what he meant I was stretching to continue my haphazard journey. I spotted a cloud formed entirely from dust headed for me. They are quicker than I expected, but there's no time to complain. I quickly devised a plan to get to the city, contact my base, and get headed out of this wretched city . Once again I was off sprinting. When I met the border of the city there was a glimmer off hope in me once more. I quickly found a water source, and filled to the brim. Immediately Boris escaped my clutches, and pulled of a flawless take down move. I was laying on the ground in an instant, felling a little light headed. He slowly walked to the center off the town the center of the town. "Attack!" he yelled Immediately I flew back sharply, landing on unforgiving dirt ground, as a result of the impact of a mass-damage dealing... An entire row of German's appeared out of the blue. They snickered as they knew they had me cornered. They pointed the deadly end of their rifles at me to signal my surrender. Shortly after my predictable defeat I was laying in a cold, dark cell. I have been in this horrid cell for nearly a month. The holiday season was approaching, and I started to wonder about my family back at home. The prison head had promised our persecution sooner rather than later. The next day Boris was pushed rudely into my cell. Apparently he was of no use to them anymore. Immediately there was a loud explosion impacting the cheap roof protecting this building. A loud jet fighter appeared in the sky, and dropped a long rope ladder into my cell. There was a sound off thousands of German soldier down the hall. All headed to secure the cells. Both I and Boris stared at each other wondering what to do next. Without any thought he hit me merciless in the face and jumped to the ladder. I leaped to him with the intense fury of a tiger, after recovering from the shock, barely grabbing his foot. The jet immediately took off, and Boris made insane attempts to drop me down to the detention facility in flames. Immediately I leaped, and barely made it to the ladder rung above Boris. The rush of the wind batting on or faces. Encouraging the flames to grow larger and larger. A flaming projectile chopped the rope ladder and Boris was off screaming. His yells although were consumed by the raging sound of the flames. In an instant he himself was consumed by the flames. It had happened, the once kind Boris was now gone, passed. The ladder was contracted into the jet shortly after. "Evening," yelled a familiar voice. It was Commander Nikolai. He awarded me and greeted me far beyond my imagination. "We won," he yelled. "Time to celebrate" he said with an inviting tone. Looking at the disappointed expression on my face he said, "What's wrong!" "It's Boris he's...gone," I said with a mutter while explaining all that had happened. -

Victory?! Boris stood still with that conceited look engraved to his face. I stood there petrified with a raging storm of unanswered questions clouding my mind. His words echoed in my mind “Don’t be surprised”. After I recovered from my instant shock I worked up the courage to say something. “But... but why Boris?” i said rather whiny. “Well if I told you that would ruin all the FUN now wouldn't it?” he said with a sly tone. Fun! We had all lost close allies...close friends in this war. Here he stood smug calling it fun. I could feel my anger swelling up. In fact, I felt so many emotions all at once, anger, hatred, disgust, confusion, disappointment. Although it was quite peculiar why he intended to kill me. This is the same nice, kind, caring Boris we’re talking about. There was definitely something up and I intended to find out. Immediately there was a loud vibration on a building close to ours. Boris however seemed to ignore this. As his finger slowly approached the trigger I could feel my heart rate growing faster. Would he really commit such a cruel crime as to kill his best friend? The rumble was even louder this time. This time too loud to ignore even for Boris. I still couldn't help wondering what Boris meant by fun? Had he intentionally got himself captured. Was he a secret spy? These questions hopefully would be answered soon. This building practically tipped over this time sliding us down the length of the building. My instinct was of course to escape this building. Grabbing the frame of a window I spotted the biggest jet fighter I’d ever seen dropping bombs on all the building, bringing them down like jenga blocks. This jet fighter was obliterating everything in its path. With sudden fright I knew the building we were in was next. In a feeble attempt to live I jumped out the window hoping ever so much to land not on my face. The building came down as though it had been plunged in the side with a flaming wrecking ball. I lay still in my back, aching in pain. This immediately vanished when I saw Boris flying away on the ladder of a chopper. His snickered in a rude manner. “Booooooorrrriiiiiissss!!!” No this couldn't be happening. I this the last I saw of Boris? I then noticed no enemy in sight. Then emerging from behind a tank were my comrades yelling VICTORY. I really wasn't in a festive mood at the moment. In the distance was a large cloud, miles long. “What that?” I questioned. “A counterattack” my comrades yelled in horror. “This isn't over,” they said. -

Chapter 2 It had been nearly and hour since Boris was captured. I felt I could do nothing more than stand paralyzed. I mean how could 60 measly minutes feel like an eon. I bolted down the flight of stairs, and stepped our into the blazing sun. The sun beams hit me in the face. I scan the entire battle field, but no one seemed to be moving. I see broken glass and cement rubble everywhere. Some of my fellow comrades(and enemies) laying on the ground with pools of blood inches from them. Innocent citizens frozen with unfathomable impressions on their faces. What would happen to Boris? Would I be able to get help quickly enough? Should I save him myself? Could I save him myself? Would we all live to see the end? All these question and no apparent answer. I suddenly spot the sniper aiming at my directly at my head. I ceased to move as i had an abrupt premonition. Reality slapped me in the face as I saw one of my comrades charging towards me yelling. His voice was drowned by the noise level of the field. He dove at me shoving me out of the way. The impact of hitting the cold, hard ground made my head ache. I was aghast about what just occurred. He fell to his knees and created a pool of blood. MEANWHILE IN THE ENEMY BASE DOUGLAS: "Come in!!!" MARK: "Morning Commander Douglas" DOUGLAS: "What is so important that YOU certainly must interrupt me Recruit Mark!" DOUGLAS: "I could have you jailed for this mutiny!" MARK: "But, but, but sir..." DOUGLAS: "Spit it down MAGGOT!" MARK: "It's Boris he has been captured." DOUGLAS: "Excellent." " We can use him as bait. Cold, DEAD bait." MARK: " How do you know they'll come for him?" DOUGLAS:"Oh they will, they will" DOUGLAS:"Send in more troops, and panzers" MARK:"Yes SIR." DOUGLAS: "Oh and send in the deadly, unstable weapon." MARK: "Commander it is still in the testing phase." DOUGLAS: "I do not care! Use it to obliterate the enemy!" DOUGLAS: " GO, GO, GOOOOO... I sprinted towards my fellow comrades, taking cover when necessary. (Pant,Pant) Boris...Boris...has...been...captured! Hilter that may have to wait. Immediately and explosion hit the wall the five of us were using for cover. The were 10 tanks all the size of mammoths. The panzers there were more. I was frightened at the sight of the panzers. They were all killing machines. Conversing with my comrades we all knew we had to fight fire with fire. So as one of our comrades called for back-up we would fight the panzer. What we all so hopefully though was a good plan turned out to be a horrible failure. That man regulating the turret was no kiding! He knew what he was doing. Our efforts seemed pointless, but we all knew failure was not an option. Commander Nikolai was at our wall in a matter of minutes. With him were 20 tanks. "I hear Boris has been captured." Yes. "We need to gather a small, elusive group of men to retrieve Boris." Although i knew this was a trap we had no other choice! -
