Wasp unlocks fairly early too. :P It seems the OP hulls are the ones quickest replaced, while the weaker hulls you have to wait forever to get the next modification. Examples: M1 Wasp -> M2 Wasp -> M3 Wasp, M1 Hunter -> M2 Hunter -> M3 Hunter, M1 Dictator -> M2 Dictator -> M3 Dictator Goes weak for long time, strong for short time, strong for short time, weak for long time, strong for short time, weak for long time. :l

Because the whole point of getting a second medium hull is to fill that gap between M2 Dictator and M3 Dictator. Hunter won't do that nearly as well as Viking will, since the gap between M2-M3 Hunter isn't that much smaller than Dictator. In my case, I'll make do with light hulls to fill the gap.

^ BTW, don't get M2 Hunter. If you want an alternate medium hull as you wait for M3 Dictator, get Viking. It has much easier rank requirements than Hunter. M2 Dictator is a beast <_< Well, until Lieutenant Colonel...
