    Paint Separation Update

    Have been playing a number of years now and find this update the worst ever... even worse than when blue crystal boxes were changed from 10 crystals to multi values and all its ensuing fall out. Paint prices have been jacked up to stupid levels and you get NO protection from it. Then you get gouged for protection! Come on TO this type of practice will drive away your loyal players... unless this is your plan to kill TO ready for TO X??? Splitting paint/protection now means you have to go to your garage before you enter a battle to see if you have any protection at all rather than knowing from your paint selected. Accordingly I used to know what protection an enemy had and could change my turret accordingly to try to counter them. My recommendation would be not to spend a crystal on paint.... "looking cool" does not win you battles/crystals! Buy a couple of protections and keep them... save your crystals purely for hulls/turrets... and remember ONLY BUY IN SALES! Make your funds go further! Goose.

    Option to disable gold boxes in PRO battles

    One of the best updates ever. Golds should be removed from the game all together with 1000 crystals added to the battle fund on the same 1/7000 chance as there currently is for the gold falling. BTW - There is no such thing as a "skilled gold hunter" only players sitting out in format battles waiting for gold to drop and ruining the chances of the team they are on, I'm more than happy to let the mults whine and bleat about them being removed. Goose.
  3. Like the new map and battle format. Way better than Halloween. Slightly easier to defend but if the attacking team work together flags can be captured. Most battles proving close so far (in XP/BP at least). Would like to see this new battle format become permanant. Discounts are better than I thought. Looks like they are weighted towards less popular items which I guess is understandable. When looking a the discounts it should be noted these will be even bigger if you do not own the item at a previous "M" level. For example if you buy Freeze M2 at 50% off you pay 30700. However if you do not have M0/M1 then you will actually save around 64%. Personally my only small gripe is MU's could have been a little higher discounted but 33% is still more than I expected. On the whole a good New Year package. :)

    Changes in garage and reworked CP

    Garage changes are OK. The changes to CP for me are not good at all. Played a Pro Polygon CP today and 1000 points later I left with the score pretty much the same as it was when I joined. That battle was to 150 points. Bearing in mind Pro battles have no time limit that battle will probably still be raging when the server update happens! I got a 1000 point CP mission today so I went to RU1 to find a XP/BP Poly CP battle. It was very noticaeable that where I usually would see 50 or more Poly CP I had 5 or 6 to choose from. I'm guessing people don't want to be stuck in a battle for hours at a time. While I'm not against the idea of the leading team's score falling if the don't hold the CP, I think it does need some reworking to make that fall less drastic.

    Premium Accounts are in the game!

    So Premium account sales not going well then.... Tanki have removed Score Multiplyer Passes from the game to try to get more people to buy PAs. If they left them in people would just buy crystals with their cash (after all buying crystals is permanent buying PAs are temporary) and use some of those crystals to buy a SMP. Now by removing them and trying to bribe buyers with 100% crystals they hope to get more PA buyers. Buyers beware: As others have already pointed out Tanki will not tell you of their plans re transferring accounts to Unity. In my personal experience when people will not tell you of these plans it usually means it will not happen... bear this in mind BEFORE you commit your £-$-€

    I can't help but feel disappointed with Halloween in Tanki this year. I've long felt that DM is by far the least favourite format of all tankers as Tanki try to push us into this mode everyday by giving constant DM daily missions. People do not play it as much as there is no skill needed for DM battles, just lots of drugging and a heavy hull. Making the Halloween map DM only is just more effort on Tanki's part to force us onto there. 10x gold boxes - many players use light hulls only so the chances of staying alive long enough to capture any of these are remote. I've been playing for just over a year now and the decline in the quality of the sales is very evident. When I began there were random "one hour" sales on a specific hull/turret as well as sales at key points in the year. To me this years 13% down from 31% and no "one hour" sales show that Tanki are taking their customers too much for granted. Tanki take note - happy customers are profitable customers. The "special" paints are way overpirced. Spending 500,000 crystals at Gissimo is just a start, how many '000s will we need to spend to fully MU it? I would down vote the original post but Tanki took that option away from us.... Goose.

    Range of XT items.... Of course Tanki want to increase this for Generalissimo, after all once we have MU'ed our items we are not spending crystals. Items will be added all the time to try to get us spending again. How true it is I'm not certain but did see someone in the chatrooms claim they had spent 400k of crystals trying to get one of the rare XT daily missions. Unity.... All well and good but we still only want the answer to the question "will our garages be transferred over in full". Only buying the relevant "M" og turret/hull for items you don't own is good for people. Who knows I may even be tempted to buy the "no skill to use" Vulcan :) Goose,

    Tanker's Day in TO

    This is my first Tanker's Day as I started playing TO last October. I'm disappointed for my fellow tankers as I'm told that in previous years the Tanker's Day discount has been 50%. While I appreciate that TO always say that previous discounts are no guide to future ones, if this really is "one of the most important days" then 50% would have supported that claim. To me the reduction is just another attempt to drive real money purchases of crystals. Personally I would not buy crystals until we know the answer to the most important Flash to Unity question... Will our garages be transferred to the new game in full? My advice would be: IF you were inclined to spend real money, wait until Unity and see which game you prefer before spending your money. As a Generalissimo I'm disappointed there are no MU discounts. I have the hulls/turrets/paints that I want, am not really obsessed with the whole XT equipment thing and am not a useless, battle ruining, multing gold chaser so I do not feel there is anything being offered to me. I can certainly see why most of my fellow tankers of all ranks feel that this is at best an OK event rather than the great event that we had all been anticipating. Goose,
  10. I think the thing that should be taken into account with CP battles is this is just a stop gap. If I remember correctly in a V-Log it was said that the developers were working on making the winnig team score increase slower and the losing team score increase quicker to try to make CP battles more competative and attractive for people to join even if it looks like one team is winning by a big margin. I suspect any future change to an early end limit will be tied to this and any changing now is a distraction to getting this updateto us asap. Goose.
  11. Sadly we DO need posts like this. Feedback, whether positive or negative, should always be constructive and polite. Reading the various forums there are far too many personal attacks aimed at mods/devs. Believe it or not they will be working to give us a positive experience. By all means give feedback as to why you think something does/doesn't work, don't however launch into a tirade calling people names as this shows a lack of maturity on your part as the poster. Goose.
  12. To be fair this sounds very much like the first attempt at an early ending syatem Tanki tried earlier this year. The concept seems good but in reality was very hard to make work so was de-activated. Goose.
  13. I agree too many people are showing concern as they may miss a gold box. However I've been in much longer battles and have seen this problem since I joined Tanki around a year ago. The issue isn't new nor really any worse now than before. The bigger factor is the 30 second delay we have now than when it used to be shorter. I've even been in battles where someone captured the winning flag ending the battle knowing there was a gold falling (battles used to be able to be created by number of flags without a pro pass before). I do agree though that those bleating about golds on this thread are wasting time as it's a distraction to the bigger issue of making a workable early ending system. Goose.

    Stop Giving Players Noob Daily Missions

    Every day without fail I get a DM mission. I assume this is due to DM being the least popular battle format (after all who really wants to play a biggest tank/drug user wins all battle) due to the lack of any skill required to play them. I thought the whole idea of missions was to diversify the playing styles and to promote some of the lesser used maps. I also agree that missions for Gissimo seem to offer less reward that the middle ranking missions. Lets take a look at this Tanki. Mix it up a little more. Don't just stick us with finish 1st, DM, kill x # of enemies and collect boxes missions. Lets get back to missions in varying maps and of all battle types. Keep it interesting for us. Goose.
  15. Was rather hopeful that the news on Vulcan was that it was being nerfed. It's by far the most over powered turret in the game. Put it on a fully MU'ed Mammoth, add Prodigi fully MU'ed to it and the ranged weapons of Rail (50%), Thunder (43%) and Shaft (29%) are heavilly negated when trying to kill it. For me this is the turret to use if you have absolutely no ability to steer a tank or aim a turret as you can camp in the open firing continuously as the projectiles will fly at virtual right angles to the direction the turret is pointed. A real favourite those that drug heavily too. Goose,
