What rank are you guys at?

First of all, I want to say that today was my worst day in tanki online. I joined a battle that was equally matched(20:20). I was playing casually and I managed to get a few flags+kills until my score was 1000+. I was then the first and then all the bs started to happen. The room was getting lesser and more players joined till about 14-15. I was playing always the way I did. But it started to get LAGGIER. It was lesser players than the previous batch. And then everyone who is at private was able to DESTROY me very easily. And whenever I turn my turret, everyone start to teleport and then the last thing you know I died. I became nothing less than a recruit. My rank was Staff Sergeant. Can someone seriously tell me why whenever I am first in a battle I start to die easier than when I wasn't. And explain why is it more LAGGIER in a room that has lesser people than the previous one that had more? Please reply this as quick as possible. I still can't settle down after spending so much time and effort that gives me back this kind of painful reward. Thanks.
