I'd suggest that you M1 your favorite combo, or whichever hull/turret you feel most comfortable using and feel like you will continue using well as your Tanki career progresses. That's the most important thing. If you're really open to trying out new guns, however ,I do have some opinions on a couple of them...I'm not a high-ranked pro but I remember being your rank and so can offer some advice. Hopefully. M1 Rail is a killer. Until it isn't. I used it almost exclusively throughout WO3 and WO4 and enjoyed very much the "one shot kill" capabilities the turret has against M0 Hornets/Wasps, as you will still encounter many during your battles. It's also a good gun to practice your aim. Past WO4, however, expect to be using 2-3 shots to kill an opponent. Therefore you'll need to habituate yourself to finding cover, perfect your timing, and all those tactical elements. Unless you drug, M1 Rail will eventually appear somewhat weak and on small maps, using it against Vikings with Ricocchet, for example, is not recommended at all. If you're (looking to be) an XP/BP player, of course, get it. M1 Smoky might seem weak, but it's not to be underestimated. I bought it during the Halloween sale, and was surprised by how efficiently it worked. The great advantage is the rapid rate of fire. If you go 1v1 with M1 Wasp/M1 Smoky against a M0 Hornet/ M1 Railgun for example, you are almost guaranteed a victory if you can time your shots to disrupt the opponent's aim. Critical shots are also wonderful to see. However it's really only good for mid-range battles. M1 Firebird is very cheap, but I ended up using it only for a couple of days. Although the lasting damage can be useful, the fuel runs out too fast for me and the turret turns too fast for my liking. I wouldn't recommend it, but some people I know in this game say it's a very good turret. I certainly haven't used it enough to have begun to master it. M1 Isida is my current turret. I actually bought it because I was gaining xp too slowly with M1 Rail for my liking. It allows you to gain xp fast while healing teammates in your base (you'll be a popular guy in no time!) and also is surprisingly good at destroying enemies, with the added benefit of self-healing. I'd highly recommend it. Just keep an eye out and make sure you don't run out at the inopportune moment. As for hulls, I'd recommend M1 Hornet. M1 Wasp is too weak to be really efficient on the battlefield, and the others are a bit too slow for my liking (although I don't have their M1 modifications). Good luck, and have fun picking out a new combo! EDIT: I just re-read your posts and didn't realize you already had some M1 turrets. Just read the M1 Rail part then

+1 for anything else who remains unconvinced about the impact of the new crystal boxes, here's @GWLGUPTA's photo: FFS TANKI FIX THIS MESS

Hello, If the new predictable drops were to remove distractions and more the gameplay more tactically challenging, I don't think they succeeded. In fact, I think it's a disaster. Maybe the excitement will die off, but I personally saw players on the same team (in a Serpuhov CTF) shoving and pushing each other to get a 20 or 50 crystal box, while behind them their flag was being carried off! Don't even make me start when a 100 cry box falls—it's like a gold rush! You have Dictators, Titans, and Mammoths camping behind buildings, doing nothing at all, until the box falls, then they creep out, fully drugged, to get 100 cry. Everyone is milling about near the marks, forsaking the game—after all, for many players, getting a couple of the new cry boxes will be more than their share of the battle fund. Sure, maybe you'll say this update isn't for noobs, but for "pro" players. But even "pro" players go crazy for 100 cry. I think this update is making Tanki a mess, and I hope you'll reconsider it. (Maybe removing the 100 cry box?)

Acquiring video is not only dumb, but impossible! There's no way to get inside a battle that's full...and that's why this problem is so annoying. I totally agree with you, one solution could be that certain moderators could "spectate" battles that are marked as suspicious by a certain amount of players on the server chat itself... Hopefully they will figure something out. It's a big loophole in the rules, IMO. Yes, some points of yours may be true, but I think Tanki Online would prefer having generalissimos who are, as their rank suggests, highly experienced and skilled instead of noobs who cheated their way to the top. Otherwise it creates the idea that the Tanki community, even the highest ranks, is full of noobs who exploit loopholes in the rules.

Hmm, I don't think I understand your point...your calculations may well be correct but the issue still stands that anyone can get away with farming, and I think the rules should be adjusted accordingly. As in, the evidence required (in-game video) needs to be something that can actually BE acquired. :D

New Rules Regarding Farming Violations
BiggieZablip replied to BiggieZablip in New Rules Regarding Farming Violations Archive
So there was this guy in the almost empty DE2 earlier today, doing his thing... TL;DR: oldsp was observed farming using an alt account helpfully named oldsp_2014. He ultimately went on to get more than 10k xp (and a pretty big payday, I'd guess). I reported him in the game violators section of the forum and the moderator said that gameplay video was needed. Nuuuuuuu, that's so unfair *hits keyboard angrily*. But wait. How is one supposed to enter a match and procure video evidence of farming when the farming is happening inside a 1v1 match, private or otherwise, with both spots occupied by the offender? . As far as I can see, a 1v1 is the most convenient way to farm using an alt account—especially seeing as there is literally no way to be punished for doing so under the current rules. I could do it right now and even if everyone knew about it, nobody could do anything to "prove" it. At least, under the current rules.... Does anyone else think this is a problem? I'm curious to hear your thoughts. Also, oldsp, you're a noob.
