I have made an observation since the big tanki overhaul last year when the matchmaking process was installed. It didn't happen immediately, but took some time before players found a way to use that system to their advantage. I suspect that certain players join battles with two accounts simultaneously. They allow a minute or two of game play to occur then decide which team they will focus on winning. That's when I have noticed "dead" tanks. They are there but they don't play. And the opposing team is suddenly much better. Another clue occurs when the game is ended: the winning team all immediately leave the field. It takes a second or two before they remove their "dead" tanks from the losing team. Obviously, this is ruining the game for anyone not involved in this coordinated cheating. I can't /vote anyone because there's no way to know exactly which players are doing it. A search of tanki forums using the search team "cheating" brought me no results. I hope tanki forum mods aren't burying any suspected cheating threads in an attempt to make their game seem truly unbiased... ? And I truly hope game mods are looking into this, because unfair games will simply drive players away. Any responses at all will be appreciated. Thank you.

I HATE the way the servers are configured now. It allows the strong to prey on the weak. It Sucks. Logged in tonight to do my mission (earn cry in battles, easy enough)... as Colonel it puts me in EU6. EVERYONE outranks me. And very few battles to choose from. I switch to EU7. Same. EU8. Same. EU9. Same. I went all the way to EU17, and there were teams of high-rankers just waiting for someone to join so they can annihilate them. THAT is what the new server configuration is doing. It sucks. I can handle lag. I can handle bugs. I can't play a game that's stacked against me from the start. I think I'll have to quit tanki, and that sucks.

My 2 cents: Removing crystal drops and adding to the battle fund will doubly benefit those who play alot. 1) If you have lots of time to play the game you can stay til the end and get a share of the battle fund. If you only have a half-hour to play you stand to gain nothing. 2) The players with higher rank/better tanks are in a better position to benefit from the gold box drops. Stronger tankers can muscle into the drop zones much easier. Weaker tankers who relied on snagging the occasional 20-crystal boxes while the bigger tanks were battling will lose out entirely. Personally, I have limited time to play, so when I do play I like to make the most of it by getting a lot of kills and swooping in on the boxes. I have a bad connection speed so when the room starts to fill up (at about 6-7 players) I get booted and miss out on the battle fund, even if I've earned the lion's share. To remove crystal boxes while putting added weight to the battle fund will very much put me at a disadvantage. Unless, of course, you can put a server in N. America and help with my connection... Maybe a change was made recently but for the last 2 days my gameplay has been much better- I'm still only joining smaller battles but I no longer get booted when more join (I'm very psyched to be able to play vs. 10+ players now). Did you make an improvement somewhere? Because if so, it worked... thanks!

Thanks for telling us how to identify when we have high ping, but there are no solutions given. I am in USA, I have no local servers, and my gameplay has severely deteriorated lately (starting approximately 20 Sept. 2014)... as of today I get entirely booted from the site (when the game reaches about 8 players), not just the arena. How can I continue to recommend this game to my friends in the USA if this is what we can expect? I realize you guys are working hard, and I appreciate this game (it is very fun when it works). But please get a server in N. America. Thank you.

I followed the link (and subsequent links) to reduce lag & did everything that was suggested. I installed & ran ccleaner and re-started. I was able to get less than a minute of game time before it crashed. I realize this is probably an issue of server distance... is there a particular server you can recommend that has a closer proximity to Wisconsin- Iceland, for example? And why is it happening now, after weeks of good play? miahak and yele- thanks for your responses btw If it helps: I tried to play again with fewer players (2 on 2, 3 on 3) and it seemed to work until more players joined. It finally crashed when we got the 8th or 9th player. Just played a 15 minute game of CP with no more than 5 players at a time & it worked fine. So I guess my question is: will any server adjustments be made that will allow me to play in games with more players?

Perhaps I should mention that I'm playing in the USA (Wisconsin) so I realize that there are no nearby servers... except that things worked fine until today. Also hopped from server to server- didn't matter.

I sure hope someone can help me... Tanki worked fine yesterday. Today- I can't play at all. I get in about 5 seconds of gameplay and (it seems) everyone else freezes up or they spin in circles and nothing seems to work. I can drive around but it's like a ghost town. My FPS when this happens is about 45 and my Ping is 70-75. This is what I've done to try to fix it: 1) downloaded/installed the latest Adobe Flash 2) same with Firefox 3) same with Windows updates 4) rebooted twice, restarted router twice (I do have a wired connection though) 5) did a regedit to allow for better ping (?) 6) tested my upload/download speed- it's fine 7) dumped cache memory 8) tried using internet explorer- same thing 9) ran Tanki using Stand Alone FP - didn't work 10) hardware acceleration IS enabled Can anyone help me please? I have a mild addiction to this game...
