I would say it depends on the maps you play. If you play on Madness like a lot of people at your rank do, then use Rico. Noise, Silence, Polygon all make a different case for each turret. I would go with Rico because it's medium range and it can give you distance from Isida, Firebird, and Freeze users. This is advice coming from a Rail user who has a Rico M2 and likes distance between he and his opponent.

Should I get Shaft M2 when there is a 50% off sale or a special on Shaft? My style is sniping so you won't find me flag capturing. When I play with higher ranks in maps like Noise or Silence, I just sit back at the flag and defend it which is why I think Shaft would be good. When I play with my ranks, it's kinda the same story although I am a bit more mobile and adventurous in terms of where I position myself. I already have Rail M2 and I have Hornet M2 as my hull. The reason I am considering it is because of all those higher ranks with Prodigi and my Rail takes of like 15% of their health which is terrible for flag defending. So yeah, use Shaft M2 or stick with the Rail M2 and save for something else?

I like to use my Shaft M1 over Rail M2 at the moment because of the sheer amount of Viking + Prodigi's out there. Even when I play with people at my rank, they have Tundra. Shaft M1 with double power kills Viking M3 Prodigi most of the time, provided that the Viking isn't fully MU'ed. Rail M2 with double power doesn't have that effect cos of the Prodigi. I think Shaft is still a great weapon especially with the new points system that has come in.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this or not, but you can't enter XP/BP unless you meet all the requirements with the new format system. I tried to join, but I couldn't since I didn't have a 20% protection paint. Only had 10.

I would seriously advise against Hammer. It's OP so they will nerf it eventually and it's only useful at a short range. Rail M1 can do a lot of damage over great distance, and you can use in ranks like Colonel and above.

MU'ing M1 Rail is pointless. A fully MU'ed M1 rail can't match M2 rail at base. Just get M2 Rail. And then don't MU that either. What hull do you have? I would advise getting a M2 Hull soon, Hornet or Viking is fine with Rail.

It's up to you, will you rank by the New Year sale? If not, then perhaps you should get Smoky if you plan on using it. If you are happy with M2 Thunder and want to wait till the next sale, then do that. When the next sale is, I do not know. I've seen Thunder and Smoky on Hunter and Hornet so your hulls aren't an issue.

Hello, during the New Year Sale I'm going to buy an M2 turret and some paints. The paints I will get are Tundra and Cedar for Rail and Thunder protection. I want to know whether I should get Rail M2 or Rico M2. I play mostly in Noise, Rio, Silence, join in Arena CP sometimes. I do, however, sometimes play in Lost Temple and Serpuhov. I do have Rail M1 and I have seen it used at Colonel. I just feel like Rico M2 would get me a higher score in those maps, minus Lost Temple and Serpuhov obviously. I could get both Rico and Rail M2, I'm only short 4000 crystals or so. But then, no paints. Advice? P.S. I have Hornet M2, and in the next sale I will attempt to get the one that I don't get in this upcoming sale, maybe.
