Guide for beginners tips and tricks

Hey guys I'm here to teach some tricks beginners should know to improve their gameplay If u have any suggestions, comment down below. ;) First of, do not buy everything you can afford, trust me upgrades over time are really expensive, so it is better to save up asap. plan what you want and those that you don't think you'll be successful, don't buy it, you can buy them later on. Second, USE YOUR TURRETS! You wont believe how many times I see people get killed because their tank is sideways(slightly less than seeing people upside down not self destructing  ), by the time the turn around its to late. turning your turret will be faster than turning around. Even better, turning your turret around while turning you tank at the same time. There's nothing better than the element of surprise. sneak up against your opponent and attack from behind. Use Camera angles (pg up, pg down). You can see an opponent using one angle while they cant see you in their default angle(ex: Tunnels, under inclines(ex cross)) When you're upside down, don't try to shoot, it wont do anything. self destruct by pressing delete. If you end up sideways, depending on the gun, you can turn your turret to the floor and fire once, if your gun is -Shaft -Ricochet -Thunder (though you get the splash damage) Then you can very likely pop into upright position and can continue playing without that harming you kill/death ratio You can type in the chat when you are a certain rank and above, USE IT! Type by pressing enter, and if your in a team game like capture the flag, team deathmatch, and control points, you can type in a team chat by pressing enter and then tab, to turn it off press tab again. Team chat only send the message to your teammates so your opponents wont see what your saying. You could give your teammates your opponents positions, who has the flag, etc. Spawn Camping: This is when a group of people on the same team stay at the area that the other team spawns, killing them when they are out of ghost mode. This could be with sniping or anything else. I would recommend sniping since they wont, and theres less chance to get killed than going into a middle of a horde (I also recommend thunder due to the splash damage) This tactic is very helpful in team deathmatches. Tip: If you see someone that just respawned, go through the target and place a mine so its right under them, run away. As soon as they get out of ghost mode, the mine will kill them. Works mostly with slow hulls (Ex:Mammoth) :tank: Use these tactics to defeat these guns: Firebird: stay out of range If chasing you either: place a mine or "moonwalk*" firing while doing so Freeze: stay out of range If chasing you place a mine or "moonwalk*" firing while doing so Isida: stay out of range If chasing you place a mine or "moonwalk*" firing while doing so railgun :right before it fires, shoot at the left or right wheel, messing up its shot and missing you, kill it while its reloading shaft: if not moving: he/she is in scope mode, go around it where it cant see you, and destroy it If in motion: go close combat, shafts don't do as much damage in arcade mode (regular shooting) Ricochet: Strafe, make your hull parallel to where the gun is pointing, this makes it easier to avoid their shots. shoot while dodging if your too close for this choice:go behind and do as much as you can a run away, come back to finish him in a few moments Thunder: go right next to the tank and start firing, thunder has splash damage so it can harm itself, making it easier to kill. Smoky: has a fast reload so strike and take cover as fast as you can them repeat. Pros and cons for using each gun: Smoky: Pros-fast reload time, many critical hits (the lightning after your shot hits you target) Cons-doesn't do much damage for each shot Tip: Its better to shoot closer than farther away, the farther away the target is the less damage you can do. Recommended with: wasp, Hunter Firebird: Pros-burns the target doing more damage even if your opponents kill you Cons- Short range, slow reload time Tip: Sneak up by behind and use all your ammo, if they survive, hide again, your burn should give a bit damage while your reloading. come and strike again when it stops burning your target (Your target wont be reddish when it runs out) Recommended with: Hornet Freeze: Pros- Once you attack, your opponents movement slow with reload time. Cons- Short range, slow reload time Tip: sneak up behind, as soon as you do that they cant run away, tanks with more hp are harder to kill because they still survive even after you all your ammo, so attack after or when they are attacking someone else. Recommended with, Hornet, Hunter Isida: Pros- self healing, heals other teammates Cons- Short range, slow reload time Tip: Healing gives you experience so do it often! Recommended with: Hornet, wasp, Hunter Thunder: Pros-Splash damage, can damage multiple people with one shot Cons- Splash damage can harm yourself Tip: Same as smoky, and you use the splash damage to get people without them getting you, or if you miss by a hair, it still does damage. If you see a group of enemies, shoot at the on that has the hull with most hp or in the middle of the gruop, this way you can kill guys around the target when trying to hit one guy. Recommended with- Mammoth Railgun- Pros- Most damage in a arcade shot Cons-Very slow reload time. If you shoot and they survive or miss, they can easily kill you while reloading Tip:Shoot and start running away if they chase you, place mine in their path and they will, Go into the mine and blow up or They will see the mine and stop, use this to your advantage and shoot when he stops Recommended with: Hunter Shaft: Pros- has scope mode, which does more damage than its arcade shot Cons-Slow turning speed, Horrible at close combat Tip for close combat against twins: Go in scope mode and charge, since twins don't have lots of impact force, you can just aim at the projectiles and it will it your target, one hit killing it. Recommended with: Hornet, Mammoth Twins: Pros-never runs out of ammo, can hold space bar Cons- barely any damage per shot Tip: Shoot farther away, so it they kill you, your bullets that you fired will still be in the air, giving you a chance to still kill your target. or sneak up behind your target and start firing, DO NOT Follow when target runs away, use your turret to continue aiming at the target and fire, if they are starting get out of your firing range, start moving Recommended with: Mammoth or Titan Ricochet: Pros- bounces off walls, many projectiles before the bar turns empty Cons- Can damage self, not very useful when target is strafing (see above) Tip: If someone is taking cover on the opposite side of the building as you, hold page up and you can see both sides of the building, so you can see where you projectiles go and make adjustments. Recommended with: Viking There are also supplies that help you improve your tank for a minute. You can use them in you inventory or in supply drops. To use the supplies in your inventory, press numbers 1,2,3,4,and 5 1)Shaped like a wrench, restores you health completely 2)Makes your tank twice as fast :D But sometimes its way to fast, (ex using wasp) 3)Doubles your damage  4)doubles your armor (takes double the ammo to kill you) ^_^ 5) Mines almost every time destroys a tank  Unlocks at corporal (I think) Maps: There are three kinds of maps when you start off: Small (Ex:arena) on these maps sniping is almost impossible, So I would Recommend the three close combats, (Firebird, Freeze, Isida) twins, and smoky. On this map, If there is a lot of people, Its very chaotic and you can find a tank a few seconds after respawning. This also mean That you can be killed quickly too. Medium: (Ex: Rio) These maps you can snipe but its easier on large maps, and close combat is less effective than Small can be used so I would recommend Shaft, Thunder, Railgun, Ricochet, Smoky, Twins, and Isida (If its a team Battle) On these maps, Its slightly harder to find people but you can still find them fairly quickly. If its a team battle, most will be on the other side of where your team spawns. Large Maps: These maps are pretty much made for sniping. So use Shaft, thunder, smoky, railgun, and Ricochet. This map is the hardest to find opponents Paints: changes the look of your tank and also protects you from other guns. Red,blue,orange,black,green,etc-just change the color of your tank it does not protect it from anything Holiday-tanks paint turns into black and white checkerboard, paint changes during holidays Marine-protects against Firebird-10% costs:500 crystals Unlock at:Private Flora-protects against Smoky-10% costs:500 crystals Unlock at:Private Swamp-protects against Twins-10% costs:500 crystals Unlock at:Private Forester- protects against Railgun-10% costs:500 crystals Unlocks at: Grefrieter Metallic-protects against Thunder-12% costs:1000 crystals Unlock at:Corporal Lava-protects against Freeze-15% costs:1500 crystals Unlock at:Master Corporal Lead-protects against Shaft-18% costs:2000 Unlock at:Sergeant Safari-protects against-Isida 20% cost:3000 Unlocks at: Master sergeant Dragon- protects against- ricochet 22% Cost- 5000 Unlocks at: Staff Sergeant Mary-protects against Freeze-14%,Twins-5%,and Smoky-5% costs-6500 Unlock at:Master Sergeant Storm- protects against Firebird 20%, Freeze 6% cost:9000 Unlocks at:First sergeant Carbon- protects against Smoky 20%, Shaft 5%, twins 5% cost-13000 Unlocks at: Sergeant major Love- protects against- Isida 10%, Freeze 15%, Ricochet 15% Costs- 15000 Unlocks at :sergeant major (This only goes up to Sergeant-major),for more info, click the link below http://en.tankiwiki.com/Paints .
