I think we should have it an option for the game creators, thus if players want to have some serious battle without crystal drops, they can pick that option and attract those kind of players. For players who do not have the luxury to finish the battle, it is fair to collect some crystals for being part of the game, so they can pick those kind of games to play if they know they could leave in any minute. I do not like the boxes of 100 crystals because that was the reason the game got kind of ruined due to too much distraction but still I think if players like that option, it is fine. Just let the same players play together. As a developer in IT area for 22 years, I think it is a nice feature to provide flexibility. My son is very sad to learn that there is no crystal drops because his mom could ask him to leave the battle at any time as his playing is timed sometimes and it does not feel happy by leaving a battle with no crystals earned. So my take on this is: it is a good option but put the other options back too!
