Q1 means the first business quarter(first 3 months, not including weekends). Obviously being optimistic Note: I'm mostly using this because I happen to have the account around still, IMAO. I'll probably be scrapping this account at some point.

Review [Issue 47] Top Ten Tanki: Needed improvements

Welp, I'm back from the dead. Definately agree to most of this(don't know about 6 or 5, but I've never encountered them, to be honest). -
Guide [Issue 35] The Generalissimo's Handbook - Month 2
Rth1131999 replied to hogree in Newspaper Archive
I know some of this stuff, some of it's new, but the F key at one point was unheard of for me, which has changed, fortantly, but most of the time I find it inconvinent to drop the flag, mostly due to team mates. -
Other [Issue 34] 13 Surprising Facts: Real Tanks
Rth1131999 replied to S.C.Y.T.H.E in Newspaper Archive
I actually knew most of this. Real life tanks are easy to take out given they hit, but destroying them is another story. Unless you use a large land mine, it's effectively impossible to destroy the tank, or at least render it unusable for a while. In fact, typically nothing can destroy the tank except land mines(by destroying the chassis). It's easier to just kill the crew than it is to kill the tank. Modern tanks typically have the equivalent of several dozen inches of rolled steel armor(>800mm of armor on average for an MBT) Typically, HEAT is designed to penetrate the armor, and due to the melted metal jet, does a lot of damage to the crew inside. HESH is a bit different than other rounds, in that it's not designed to penetrate in the first place. Rather, it's designed to explode on the hull, and through the vibrations, shake loose parts inside the tank, creating shrapnel. British is currently the only one in the world that fields HESH on any of their tanks, which gives them an advantage over other countries in the world. I really don't consider the ripsaw tank a real 'tank'. For one, it's not really designed for tank roles, and it's a lot smaller than it needs to be. "Drone tank" is basically what it is. The fastest tank that was designed to actually be a tank(actually at TD, but still) was the Hellcat, at 57mph, which is faster than all current MBT's, and can even keep pace with HMMWV's. Now, you can buy WWII tanks, even find them, but they are rare and far between these days. But overall, this is a great article. One thing to note, though, some forms of composite armor don't have multi-hit capability, or are limited, and angling the armor plates does much more harm than good, a great example being Chobham armor. -
The Unity tanki looks so good.............

Nice update plans, have yet to watch the whole vid yet. I don't think the increase will make them any more popular, you'd need a lot more to get that to work.(and heavy hulls won't notice it much either.)
-
I'm not really sure how to answer this. I'm pretty good with all the weapons, but I'm best at using Isida, Railgun, Thunder, and Shaft. I'm also pretty decent with hammer, vulcan, and most of the other turrets. My favorite close range have to go the Firebird and Freeze. I'm basically good at all the weapons, but I really am the best at railgun and Isida. My stiro-tyoical hull is pretty much anything that's not a heavy, most of the time Hornet.
-
I usually used hunter-shaft, XP, and wasp-idisa. I also use many other combos, but I'm the best at XP and wasp-idisa(or any close range weapon). I really use whatever paint I want(to protect from the most common enemy gun.)
-
I got shotgun M0, ricochet M0, and firebird M1(I was trying to rank up enough to get idisa M1, but it didn't happen)
-
actually got a hornet-shotgun to flip(it was in the air though, so it doesn't really count for me at least.)
-
Really? I've adapted as well, it's really easy to still get kills. My issue is getting spotted EVEN BEFORE GETTING TO MY SNIPING SPOT AND FIRING(yes, I normally 7/10 get killed before I get to a good shooting spot, and thats WITHOUT the laser effecting anything. This is normally in team battles, so you can't say I was in the wrong game setting for camping. normally, it's the TEAM that's the issue, NOT the gun.). Also, this discussion SHOULD be closed by now.
-
I have yet to flip ANY tank by shooting the turret(railgun hasn't done it yet(maybe once or twice, but not time after time), I EVEN shot a team mate with a shaft and hit the top(hornet/firebird facing forward, but still), and he still didn't flip), and they still didn't flip, even wasp(which is notorious to flipping from recoil). also, this does help with aiming, because I've had this issue for a while, I think it's worth keeping.

I actually used 5min battles quite a few times, especially when I'm short on time and want to get a battle in. sure, it may be not used by many, but you can't exclude those that use it! also, you ENFORCED the 15, 30, and 60mins being used because you removed all the other options several months ago(a few days after removing the custom settings, which I agreed with, but removing the other options you had for time(the ones you put on after it), was kinda unfair) , and everyone is used to the 15min as standard, because a majority don't use the other options, because they are lazy to change the timer. Also agree with those guys who say they need to be returned. A lot of things you had were nice(private battles being free, crys boxes(bring it back to DM at least, don't do the others.), the extent of how far you could range the ranks, etc.)
-
I can't wait for the machine gun, but I wonder what rank it will be unlocked at in the game when it comes out, because then I may need to grind some XP and cash. and machine gun is definitely going to need some skill, especially when the enemy is doing a flanking maneuver(mostly due to the gyro scope, which is a weakness in this case).

yeah, that's sped up definatly, like 10x or something
