Unfortunately, no such weapon exists. You'll have to make do with M2 for now... I wish I had a dictionary.

Story [Issue 33] Between Tabs - Part I
Shedinja replied to Shedinja in [Issue 33] Between Tabs - Part I Newspaper Archive
Part I * * * An empty Skype page states that my clan co-leader hasn’t logged onto Tanki yet. Hm. Must be working on his kart. Bored, I tap the neighboring Chrome icon, only to reveal that I haven’t loaded in yet, either. I groan inwardly. I should grab a soda; might be a while… However, before I could regretfully leave the comfort of my recliner, the screen broadens to unveil the familiar beige-grey warzone background and the registry box. Home, sweet home. Lazily clicking the underscored green words brought me to a half-remembered login page. I knew it was going to be a long day when I mistyped my password twice. As I waited for the next cache-devouring load, I received an alert from my Skype tab. [TankiMedic: Bro you on?] A hastily typed reply told him I was en route. An instant after promptly receiving thirty-one N20 canisters from my awaited daily bonus, I tap the Garage icon. A slow grin crosses my face as I wait for my hard-won M2s to appear on my screen. Isida is the first turret to be seen, as iridescent as ever with its titanium-cast detailing. Should I? I ponder. I need the experience; if I play in enough Polygon CPs, I might rank up by this next Tuesday… Another thought hit me. No, don’t waste your time; besides, I have practice soon, and I want to be warmed up. Sighing, I drag my mouse past my beloved nanotech device, and don my traditional M2 XP combination. Why so downtrodden? You won’t regret the extra time you spent. Polygon will still be there after 4:30. With a mild shake of my head, I silence my mind, equip my refractive XP paint, and click Battles. I never was good at making choices, I thought. So many different maps. A plethora of battlefields rested before my eyes, all awaiting to take in their destructive visitors. A half-full Kungur was the first to catch my eye. As a force of habit, I checked the player roster. Seven versus three. Yikes. If I felt like taking a crushing loss, I would have challenged ieatcookies to a duel. Maybe something a bit more two-sided… Scrolling down the page, however, did not lead to more fruitful results. A Highland DM with three players, with the score betraying that one of them was clearly power-leveling. Shaking my head in disgust, I kept scrolling. I was on the verge of abandoning EN4 for the day when I discovered a certain Monte Carlo. It seemed like a well-rounded CTF at a glance; the blue team was winning with a score of six, but only leading the red alliance by two; the rank segment was very appreciable for my stage, allowing Warrant Officer 5’s to Majors to play; with a total ten flags captured, there was still over forty-five minutes left in the match. I was just about to aid the red team with some assistance, when suddenly, an electronic pop and a large invite tab slid onto my screen. It was TankiMedic, prompting me to begin practice. Dah. I was hoping to warm up a bit… Grunting to myself in mild annoyance, I clicked Accept, and waited for my computer to launch through cyberspace into RU16. I load into the abandoned sever just as TankiMedic lashes my screen with another invite. I click Decline in disgruntlement, and presume to send him a message via the chat room. [shedinja: Dude, I’m already here. -_-] It didn’t take long for TankiMedic to reply. [TankiMedic: Lol. Make the battle while pokes is still on] Making the PRO Sandbox match didn’t take too long, despite accidentally generating a DM first, instead of the usual CTF. I should probably start having my members practice in other maps. We’re only going to be functional in penalty matches at this rate. Ah, well. Maybe Tuesday, I’ll have us play in a Solikamsk. It didn’t seem like it would be a large practice today; only Pokemontrainer2, TankiMedic, viperf50 and I were online. I sent the word that we were moving out in a second. Scanning my friends list led me to find my clan-mates. I was just about to send out the invites until the screen names on the lower right corner of my screen invalidated my reasoning. If I know one thing about my team, they’re always on point. Satisfied, I click Play. [TankiMedic: Heya shed!] [viperf50: hi] [shedinja: Howdy.] Gah. I’m lagging again. Roving out of my spawning point was not a task for the faint of heart with only 4 FPS and 999 PING. The lag spike only lasted for a few seconds, however; within moments, I was able to drive as swiftly as usual. Another small grin crept across my face as I drifted gracefully around the corner without coming into contact with the wooden cabin. M2 Hornet’s drift is exemplary. Now, if I can just have control over it when I NEED too… I’d best start warming up my shots. The lavender glow of my M2 Railgun going through its charge cycle was a soothing and natural sight. Missing the signpost I was aiming for, however, provided the opposite effect. Huh. I always hit that post. I subconsciously frown. I’m getting lazy; I have to stop spoiling myself with Isida… While I was waiting for my next Railgun bolt to charge up, I passively observed TankiMedic and viperf50 attempt to ascend the wall bordering the stage, with Pokemontrainer2 standing by as the proverbial peanut gallery. [Pokemontrainer2: watch viper sd as soon as he gets up there xD] [viperf50: wait I need nitro] After enjoying a small chuckle from watching viper launch himself over the top of the barrier into his certain self-detonation, I try for the signpost again, and was rewarded with a dark impact grazing the left edge of the rusted grey metal. Okay, so I haven’t completely lost my touch, I reflect, as Pokemontrainer2 claimed that he ‘totally called that’. I think it’s time to start this thing already. Before viperf50 could attempt to boost off of Medic again in a location where he insisted was less dangerous, I clacked in a message on my mildly worn keyboard: [shedinja: Alright, guys, let’s get practice started.] Like clockwork, I watched as TankiMedic paused for a brief time period, presumed to race around in a circle for a few moments, and burst into a ball of light and flame. Within moments, he was at my side on the central platform with his traditional Railgun/Hornet/Sandstone combination. An instant later, Pokemontrainer2 was in front of me in the same fashion, spare for two details. One of those was that he was coated with the clan’s standard dark Red paint, and the second was… Oh crimeny, he's flipped onto his back... [Pokemontrainer2: nailed it. ._.] [TankiMedic: Pokes, in case you haven’t noticed, you need nitro to do that flip up the ramp…] [Pokemontrainer2: it ran out…] Once he detonated his tank and returned to the team unscathed, I swapped to my main tab to reveal the clan page. Two things on the agenda today: get the clan paint reset, and remind them of the new clan standards. Mentally searing them into my memory, I swipe my finger across the mousepad and tap the little tank icon, then presume to input the news: [shedinja: Alright, guys. On our path to becoming a renowned XP clan, we have to not only have the know-how, but the appearance, as well. So, I figured that maybe changing up our clan paint would be the best option here. I was thinking either Fracture, or, for the M3 players (once we get to that point), Atom.] After receiving a few intermittent 'ok's, I continued. [shedinja: Also, a reminder that everyone should have M2 XP equip by the next sale. We need to keep up with some of the other experienced XP/BP clans, and having the right equipment is a must if we’re to do that. Do I even need to remind people about the updated recruitment standards?] [Pokemontrainer2: nope, we’re good] [viperf50: ok ok] [shedinja: Excellent. Now, let’s get this thing started.] As I drove off the ledge and began to meander around the crimson and gold-trimmed flag, I felt that familiar pinpoint of adrenaline begin to sweep through my body. As TankiMedic asked if everyone was set, I began to wonder if I was prepared as well. Viper has been getting a lot better, and Pokes is already a great player. I sigh to myself in disappointment. I’m out of practice; I should’ve taken up denex12 for that Magistral yesterday after all… But then another, much bolder thought began to germinate in the recesses of my mind. What are you nervous about? You’ve got Medic on your side. You’re the ‘freaking dream team’, remember? Shaking my head as if my thoughts were tangible enough to be jarred loose, I slid my arrow down to the bottom of my screen, clicked the sky-blue 'S', and flicked a Skype chat to TankiMedic. [shedinja: You ready, bro?] A few long seconds passed. Then, a bright, bubbly-lettered response blinked into existence in the corner of my screen: [TankiMedic: Yesh. >:3] Grinning in satisfaction, I initiate the Skype call, and transverse the mess of tabs back to my tank. I begin tapping incessantly on my up and down keys, instigating the beautiful, Fracture-clad machine to rock back and forth in a quick, rhythmic fashion. Any second now… And then the two letter word I was yearning to see flickered onto the screen: [Pokemontrainer2: ro!] “Here goes nothing,” I mumble into the mic as I slam down on the acceleration key… Read Part II Here .
