    Changes in the parameters of turrets and hulls

    Well, I've been playing with my nerfed M2 Vulcan. After working hard to master it (not to mention spending so many crystals) I now can't kill any med/hvy hulls without overheating. So I have to shoot a burst, run, then take forever to get the gun spun back up, then shoot again-oh but wait, their gone! :-( So now I do a lot of wounding. Only the fools sit there. And in that case anything could take them out. With this massive change, the only conclusion I can come too is that the developers want us to have lots of different hulls and turrets, along with paints. And they shortned the time to change gear. So we are encouraged to spend alot of crystals to buy lots of different combinations so we can change things constantly to suit the battles/opponets. I don't mind giving them money from time to time, it costs money to keep Tanki running and they have to pay the rent, I get it. But the problem is that many here have favorite combinations and have spent alot of time and crystals to get good with it. They don't what to stop and change turrets/hulls/paints battle after battle. I think they made too many changes, it's thrown everybody into an uproar. I imagine they will hang tight and hope the ****'n dies down.

    I appreciate the tireless efforts to keep things balanced. That being said, I feel I just got screwed with my M2 Vulcan. It's a hard turret to master, but I spent the time to do so. It's short comings, like turret speed and impact force I addressed by spending a considerable amount of crystals on updating turret speed and impact force. Now you just took theose upgrades away. Then, one of the major complaints to begin with is the self-destructive issue, so you made that worse? I think Vulcan was powerful only once you have actually mastered it, like a great rail gunner is dangerous (even in a light hull) but a less skilled player gets taken out alot. I still rarely see Vulcans in battles, nothing like shafts, Rico's, and railguns. Yet they are deemed as ovewwhelming the other turrets? I think the Hammer is the overpowered turret, I have a maxed out M2 Viking hull and Hammers destroy it easily. But if I buy Hammer protection paint, I don't have the heat protection paint, so either way I lose. Freeze is another "upgrade" I don't get. Right now if you get jumped by a Freeze-your dead. You can't run away, you can't turn your turrent on them. Your only hope is to see them coming and be able to get shots on target before they get past you gun.

    Foul Play detected- you have been disconnected Got this message and was kicked out of match- there was no 'Foul Play" involved. If there was I would just shut up and move on :-)

    Got this message and was kicked out of a match!?. First time I've ever seen this and was not doing anything in particular other than I happened to fall on top of one of my own team while we were both going up a steep slope? If I was doing something blatant and got caught, then I would shut up and move on. But was not doing anything even remotely 'Foul Play". Had not chatted anything, been in the match maybe 5-10 min. Anybody have any idea? Because I don't.

    Thanks for the update. I'm just glad that they are looking into some of the issues. Not unexpected that it would need some tweaks. I have at this point probably have 20hrs in on using the Vulcan and have gotton pretty decent with it. But it still needs help to be viable.

    I went straight to the M1 Vulcan and just spent the last 4-5 hours learning it. Love the concept, but feel it needs some tweaks. 1.) Not a fan of the gyro. I know it was supposed to be hard to knock off target, but it's hard to keep ON target when your moving and the target is moving. (Yes, I know how to move the freaking turret) I've spent many hours learning to run the different turrets, not sure if this one is worth the effort to relearn a totally different technique. 2.) Did no micro-upgrades to the M1 version as yet, and it rotates SLOW, the firing lag time of 2-3 seconds means it's hard to get shots on target to begin with. Then I have people just moving back and forth and I can't keep shots on target. So I'm forced to spray and pray, which leads to overheating. Or burst fire, but then the lag kicks in. 3.) Dosen't seem to actually do the damage the numbers indicate? Taking some time to kill tanks that are not particulaly strong. In fighting tanks on par with mine, by the time we are both beat down, I've taken damage from them AND from overheating. This may be just my impression though. 4.) I realize each turret has it's strengths and weaknesses, as it shoiuld be. The Vulcan can deliver a high rate of fire, that's the big advantage. And the overheating damage attribute is the controlling factor so it does not get too poweful. But in addition to the overheating, it rotates slow, plus lag time, plus hard to keep on target during a dynamic moving/shooting battle, plus not doing much damage before you start getting into a overheat situation. I humbly suggest that the lag time be eliminated. I thought the Vulcan would be able to fire a burst, then move, fire another. But as soon as you let off to prevent an overheat, the lags comes back and your waiting, waiting for it to spool up again. Between the rotation speed and firing lag time it is not a offensive turret. (Perhaps that was the intent? it is a suppressive fire/put on a Mammoth and sit there type of turret?) I would love to see the gyo go away too. I realize that was a main function and you may be loathe to eliminate a key feature. Perhaps be able to switch off? so it's either "gyro driven" or 'locked" and moves like all the other turrets? I'll keep on playing it untill I think I've gotten all I can out of it, but right now I'm thinking I'll be back to my Ricochet/Railgun before too long. Thanks for putting the effort into this game, I really enjoy it.

    I'm thinking that this may end up getting some tweaks before it's attributes are finalized. I sure would like to test it :-) It's a minigun, should just call it a minigun.

    Bring Back The Crystal Boxes.

    Personnaly, I prefer the cry being added to to the battle fund. Far too many ignore gamplay to snag crystals. Lower ranked players should play in lower ranked battles so they have a shot at just as many cry as others. IMO The focus should be on gameplay to earn cry.
