Yes, it might be complicated, but I agree with you and many other tankers .-. I miss the old chat... the only reason I'm not sending in size 24 font in blinking letters "TAKE BACK THE UPDATE" is for the few tankers who DO like this update. The only reason I didn't go with the obvious and simple solution (When you click on someone's name, you have the option of "PM" or "Write in chat" is cuz, if you wrote in chat and didn't PM, the people who didn't wanna see your direct messages to someone else would still be forced to see them :P

I'm here to clarify the issue... And by the way, I mean no harm when I say I doubt you'll read it anyway, because if I lost you after "Hate" there, you'll probably already have lost me after "Harm" here. But anyway, I'll attempt to clarify the issue. Say my update idea is implemented, correct? And there's 4 Tankers in the chat, Tanker A, Tanker B, Tanker C, and Tanker D (For short, TA, TB, TC, TD) TA + TB are on each other's friends list and are talking to each other, and TC + TD are talking to each other, and THEY are on each other's friends list. Now, TA and TB have both new boxes checked, TC has "Show available PMs" checked only, and TD doesn't have any new boxes checked. TA and TB would be able to receive and send messages to each other, yet they wouldn't see TCs or TDs messages because neither of them has "Broadcast sent PMs" checked. TC would (obviously) be able to see TDs messages, because it's being PMed directly to him/her, but at the same time s/he can see both TAs and TBs messages. Why? Because they're broadcasting PMs, and s/he's receiving them, due to the new options. Now, Tanker D can't see TAs or TBs messages, because s/he doesn't have "Show available PMs" checked, therefore is not receiving available PMs. However, Tanker D CAN see TCs messages, despite not having "Show available PMs" checked. Why? Because it's being sent directly TO him/her. With these updates I proposed, you'll still receive PMs sent directly to you no matter what boxes you have checked, unless it's a person not on your friends list and you have "PMs from friends only checked." So if you and a friend BOTH have "PMs from friends only" checked, yet neither have "Broadcast" or "Show" checked, you'll still be able to see each others messages. Conclusion for the reader who wants it short and sweet These proposed updates wouldn't effect PMs sent directly to you.It would only allow you to see others PMs to others, and others to see your PMs is they aren't directed to them. Basically, everyone has a choice between old chat, or new chat, or a nice medium in between.

Alright, so I'll offer my opinion on this new update here... I HATE IT. SO MUCH. I can't even explain it. I'm literally SO MAD right now that they even dared to implement this update into the game. The fact that they did, actually the fact that they even considered it in the first place, enrages me. The chat, quite simply, used to be SUCH a fun place to hang out. There'd be so many interesting conversations going on, so many people to talk to, and it was so diverse, with different languages and jokes being thrown about and even the occasional flooder or cusser - And even that made it more interesting. Now? People rapid-fire spamming, complaining, and a few battle links that don't even fit your rank. It's just dismal and it creates such an antisocial mood. There's NO chance to meet new people now, as they all just sit with faces slack from boredom at the many "Kungur CTF join gold pls i do vid gold box pls" that keep scrolling across their screen relentlessly. Now, you say the mods can't read our PMs? That's not good on two accounts: A) I have a hard time believing that, B) If it IS true, that's just opening SO many doors for people to go against the Rules. Now, I know the Tanki Staff will likely NOT be taking this update away, to the distress of many tankers. SO I PROPOSE A COMPROMISE You know how you added a setting in the chat that says "PM from friends only?" Well I say you add two other options as well. Option 1) Broadcast sent PMs Option 2) Show available PMs (FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS AN IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR THE TANKI STAFF TO CONSIDER) I'll explain them both at the same time, as they both go hand in hand. If you check Option 1, then and PMs that you send to other people are put in the main chat for others to see... as long as they have Option 2 checked. If they don't, they won't see your message. If they DO have Option 2 checked, and you have option 1 checked, they'll be able to see your message. And likewise, if YOU check option 2 and someone else has checked Option 1, you'll be able to see their PMs. So, people who want to keep this update can leave both unchecked, people who don't like this update can check both, and people who like to sit back and stalk the chat (Let's be honest, that's a lot of us) can check option 2, while still maintaining privacy of their own sent PMs. I think that's a pretty reasonable and effective update, don't you think? It'd placate all the tankers who don't like this update (ME! OOH OOH PICK ME!) while still keeping the (few) tankers who DO like this update happy. Tanki Staff, if you implement this update, I'm sure many tankers would VASTLY appreciate it.

Okay, sure, its cool and all. I like this update. It bothered me sometimes, because I use hornet, but I honestly couldn't care less if I flip other tanks. So I guess its good. What I DO want to change is the HAMMER turret. That thing knocks you over so easily, its absurd. And I know thats one of the aspects of the gun, but I mean, I'm constantly self destructing and losing score because some hammer, whether a troller on my team or someone who didn't feel like finishing me off on the other team, flipped me and left me there. So I would appreciate it if you toned down the hammers flipping power too.
