As a medic, I have an observation for this. I don't know if you play isida often, but many times as one I can get someone head to head and take little to 0 (yes, 0) damage due to self heal. If I'm drugging, I may end up with more health than when I started. This is assuming I'm not up against a particularly strong turret (ie: M2 F-Bird, drugged Hammer etc.) I will also take this time to once again go off topic and rant on the Isida's ridiculously reduced Conical range. To the point where kickback from a gun like Rico makes me lose my beam, and the lack of ANY up-down range for attacking people who are down a ramp/ up a hill when they can attack me just fine. Rant over/

Had an idea for a new turret. A Particle Gun of sorts. It's a weapon with the ability to have rapid fire capabilities as long as the player keeps tapping the space bar. In that instance the shots would be weak (10-15 damage apiece) . However, the gun could charge a beam and fire in one powerful shot as long as the player keeps the space bar pressed to hold charge. But after a certain point, the charge peaks and if you hold it the turret will overheat and take damage (like vulcan). Peak damage could be something like 90, and the damage would vary infinitely based on how long the space bar was pressed.

It's hard to express emotion with just text, but I figured placing my joke in a hash-tag would be enough to prove it was nothing more than an innocuous display of humor. But in case it wasn't I placed the second hash-tag following it as a redundant safety net. I think all but the most naive 10 year olds that don't know to rotate their turret will get it. Besides, I'd have trouble taking any "threat" seriously if it came from a guy whose screen name was that of an overpriced coffee confection sold at Starbucks. Nevertheless, I apologize if it came across a bit brusque.

Playing with this turret has gone from an exercise in skill to an exercise in patience. I have used nearly nothing but isida for over a year but this update essentially nerfed it. I don't think there's a gun in the game that has a narrower attack range than isida now. Medics need a reason to play medic, and while self-heal is all well and fun, the conical range is what made isida an isida. Now it's nearly un-playable, and giving me a slightly longer range and negligibly quicker reload time to make up for the lack of conical range is almost insulting. Like taking away a dollar and giving me a Quarter and a nickel to make up for it. Yes, Isida is still technically powerful on paper, but in practice, it's no longer enjoyable.

This update killed Isida's best attribute. The reduced conical range is so bad when I'm going head to head with a Rico, Hammer, or Smoky I lose my beam at them when I get hit with their shots. It jumps around way too much. Please fix. I'd happily sacrifice my range and faster reload to fix this problem.

Drugged M2 F-Birds are just nuts. When drugged, my M2 Isida can take down almost anything head to head because of the immense damage and double self-heal, but the F-Bird wiped the floor with me within 2 seconds. They do 100 damage a second drugged :o .

Did....did you just quote and praise your own post?

Anyone else realize people act no differently when you're shafting and there's a laser pointed right at them? The only thing that laser seems to do is give away your position.

I just had a CTF at Silence where I was in second place on the winning team after 20 minutes and never got one kill. IF you can manage to be the only isida in a CTF, you'll rack up points from healing like crazy. I had to drug for power just to heal the people in my team quick enough because I kept running out of ammo. Any small map CTF where your guys are close together is a boon for isida's.

Titan is in kind of a weird position. Too slow to be a mobile fortress and not strong enough compared to Mammoth. that being said I like it a lot because I never plan on getting an M3 or even M2 of it, and as an M1 it compares well to the M1 Mammoth. Paired with twins you can sit on a flag and really slow down the enemy from capping. I've even successfully capped flags in Noise with it (drugged of course :P ).

Head to head Isida is near impossible to beat, save for Firebird, but even then it's close. Add to that the ability to heal friendlies and get tons of points for doing it, AND self healing when damaging, and Isida becomes one of the best turrets around. The sad thing is that even then not many people use it. In every game there is, no one likes being medic lol.
