New balance changes and other features

I used to be a buyer. I do not like the supplies, and the drug games, so I bought kits on the cry acquired for cash. Now I could pay for M3 kits (alt). I have the cash, but I cannot trust in them - so I won't spend my money. So, I will play, probably less than before. But I will definitely be non-buyer. I like the idea of the Premium Account and I could pay for it.. BUT the current construction is not motivating for me.

Episode 108 of the V-LOG is here

I prefer lighter hulls (mostly Hornet in normal battles, and Viking only in tiny maps - Wasp instead of Hornet after the balance). Using BP in XP/BP battles (alt. account) and mainly XP in normal battles I still prefer the defender and mid-fielder role. So, the hull preference does not necessarily mean role preference.

Play defender role with longer range turret. You can definitely have better K/D.
  4. @alotharian @legobendi2 Joke: It's 7 o'clock in the morning, the sun is hardly shining and the wind is chilly when a ghost is approaching a pub. Having entered a pub the ghost goes to the bar and orders a whisky from the bartender. Bartender: "Sorry, we don't serve spirits before nine."

Episode 92 of the V-LOG is here

I use Firefox for browsing, but I don't like that for TO (I don't use mouse controls). When Google Chrome stopped supporting the NPAPI I had to switch to FF but had bad experience, so I downloaded the last version supporting NPAPI (was that the v44?) and I use that downgraded Chrome practically only for the TO. If no browser supports the flash, I will switch to the separate client if that works then. I glad that TO won't die and they continue supporting it. Just as lukey0 I was enthusiastic to start playing in TX Beta. Then I found it is much more difficult to play in, and not as enjoying. Even though there are some OP turrets and clumsy user interface, the biggest problems were the graphics and the aiming I suffered from. I have the test account but I have not logged in for weeks now. (I love playing XP/BP, but using Railgun in TX is a pain compared to the TO.) Currently I cannot imagine that I would switch to TX from TO. Having (more than) fine tuned I will try TX again, and then I might change my mind.

Hi, I started on the highest on 2560x1440: excellent graphics, very bad motion due to lag I switched to 1920x1024 and high graphics: playable on Rio and Sanbox, hardly playable on the Massacre with lag, only lag and not playable on Kungur. Also in these two modes the graphics help the enemy hide behind the explosion and smoke effects, or in the grass. Then I started to play on Medium gr. level. In this level the ground is quite similar to the TO, easier to aim and notice the tanks. The effects do not cover the scene behind, so the Medium is much better for the gaming experience. I am planning to try the low level. In case there were some changes in the game, I would not even try to play in higher graphics than Medium.

Hello Guys, I continued testing the TX. I got now Isida and Railgun. I agree that the Isida is (was, as I stopped playing with it for days now) overpowered. It is quite difficult to aim with it to let the ray build up, but keeping the ray connected is much easier. I could even win some battles with it, and almost always ended up in the first 3. Railgun I was surprised how difficult to aim with it. In TO I am quite good at it, but I have to re-learn the aiming and shooting in the TX. My feeling is that the Railgun is not as effective in the TX as in the TO, but not sure. It is not easy to play with similar level players in TX. I think the lot of DM battles are not the best for a Railgun player. I still believe the biggest issue with the TX is the fund sharing. I am demotivated to play that this way. Also I several times lost a nice share of fund due to game errors or instability (that is understandable in a Beta, on the other hand with a proportional fund sharing this would not be as penalizing as now). Last but not least: Graphics. If you want better gaming experience, less possibility for the enemies to be hidden in grass, not to be distracted by the lot of effects you play with Medium graphics level. This case the maps look quite similar to the current TO maps (lighter and more saturated - colorful). I think the biggest improvement compared to TO is the hull movement and its interaction with the map details.

    Tanki X — Discussions

Hi Everybody, I came back with some new experience. The longer I play in TX the more frustrating the game. I tried higher and lower levels of the graphics. If you care your score, you better play in lower graphics quality, which is almost like the TO, but brighter with insane over saturation. On the other hand no grass movement or other details will distract you. The Railgun has weird shooting noise, it's like flicking with your fingers. I could hardly play on bigger maps like the Massacre, but had even lag on Kungur (in Medium graph. level). Sometimes half of the players use Isida. The only reason there are no more (I suppose) is the price and the availability. I would use it too. It looks like a turret that does not need recharge and aiming. The base noise of my own tank is quite annoying and tiring after some time. This is clearly not the game that some can play for hours. Here is an example of the fund sharing which I think the most frustrating in this TX (TDM battle at a tie game):

    Tanki X — Discussions

Hello Guys, Thanks for the TankiX team, I have got an invitation so I tried it. Pros: Hull movement: excellent, compared to the TO Graphics: much better as you know very well, however the colors are too over saturated to my eyes. This make the scene like a photo with too much Photoshop effects. Cons: Unfortunately there are much more; Fund sharing is ridiculous. In a recently played battle I was 2nd in the winning team with around 1200 score. The 1st guy had around 4200 score. BUT he got 3200 crystals, me ONLY 200+. Game balance. There is no balance in the game. The Isida is not only over powered, but the ray can even bend 180 degree. Once I moved from the front of the enemy to its side, so our tank was side by side. It was an Isida. He had already attacked me when I moved to his side, but the ray stayed there, AND HE DID NOT HAVE TO ROTATE THE TURRET AT ALL! On screen information / camera view: Very bad compared to the TO. The score bar at the top center of the screen disturb the aiming by covering the enemy. Everything is way too large, but the information provided is minimal. I do not think the camera view positions are optimal in the TO, but still the view control feels much better than the TX. On a big HD display I don't like seeing touch screen compatible buttons, controls, statusbars. UI / Garage: It seems they move towards the touch screen compatibility which makes everything slower, and more difficult. Noises. Your own tank's noise is too loud sometimes. All the noises are rather distracting and disturbing than helping in the battle. Visual effects. These at the first sight seem excellent. During the battle when you focus on playing they are too much. Especially the flames and the fire. The lot of smoke make it difficult to aim. The visual effects of the used supplies are superb, but you won't recognize them on another tank even from a little distance, so I miss the little icons. Overall feeling: I was amazed by the map details and the moving of the tanks. After a while though I started to feel uncomfortable in the game (when you change a car, and cannot find the right position of the seat to drive comfortably). I could hardly wait refreshing myself in TO. If it stayed like it is now, then would visit it occasionally to admire the scenery and moving around a little, but I would always come back into the TankiOnline to PLAY THE GAME. I know it is a beta. The opportunities are good, and I hope the developers will find at least the level of gaming experience that the TO has now. Currently they are not there. a tester P.S: The recoil has just come into my mind. As if there were no any recoil, nor the hit has any similar impact as in TO. I was shot by a railgun several times without any kinetic impact. Also, I did not seen the wasp kicked back by shooting the Railgun, nor by my hitting him with my Smoky. Is that intentional, or still under balancing? Anyway, I missed this element which adds another spice to the game.

Changes in garage and reworked CP

In CP it depends on the size of the map. A stronger than Viking is too slow to catch the points on bigger maps. A Poligon CP is good to collect crystals, but boring after a while. They thought it was broken. Anyway, I don't like raiders and if the system is less good for raiders, that sounds good. It is interesting though that others think it is now even better for raiders.

Changes in garage and reworked CP

I have just checked my garage. I do not really like this approach. I would prefer more rows. Even if you categorize the hull, turret, paint etc., keep the non-bought equipment in a second row. Order of the paints is not optimal. The stronger should be in the beginning of the list. I still miss the favorite buttons: 3-4 user defined combo for fast changing.

Changes in garage and reworked CP

I do not know if the update is good or not. But... "XP noobz" ... haha ... okay, you don't like that, but others do. No Hornet on Poligon: I have seen Hornet winning TDM on Poigon. There are XP and XP/BP CP games on Poligon. Your offending style won't help convincing the devs that it was a bad change.

Changes in garage and reworked CP

You know countries making changes all the time in the tax and law system affecting companies see declining foreign investment as nobody like the unstable and unpredictable economy. Now we see the same. You plan your development and even willing to pay some Euros on the game to buy a kit or whatever and after an update/rebalance/change you feel you threw your money out of the window. This cannot help keeping the income. I really like playing with the Tanki, and I could afford paying e.g. the PA or sometimes buying some cry. I used to do it. But I stopped as I do not feel myself and my little investment safe in the TO world. I lost my trust in the system. Also, I play less and less with Gizmos with my high account due to the overwhelming drugging there that I do not enjoy. I see failures in the PA approach and feel no intention to change the motivation scheme for paying - which would be important to make the game more enjoyable. Now the rather make it a pay to win game.
  14. I have just realized that since this ridiculous MU upgrade I have been played much less than before. And I have several accounts and even got a few M4 by this upgrade. I am really "happy" that the TO prevents me from becoming a (more) addicted player with these stupid updates..
