Anyone else getting into battles where your team just instantly loses?
majormajormac replied to DeathIsImminent in Archive
I am posting because this is exactly what i have been noticing for the last few months. I have been feeling it is something with me, but if other people notice then maybe there is something wrong. I first thought it was groups joinging the other side, but they say it is not so. ok. So wierd that it appears at the diverse ranks. Maybe i could see it for Legends, since new legends like myself play against legend 10's and 20's. But, I am surprised the details match. The other side ALL comes out fully drugged and seemingly coordinated. They move fast and hard. And if I go off all of a sudden it seems I have no teammates anywhere around and find 4 enemy tanks. How does MM allocate based on our ratings? Can they pick lower rated equip at beginning and change when they enter the battle? I used to always be in the top 3 of every battle, now I am at the bottom every time. Now, this seems to have changed some after they redid the criteria for pts in battles. -
How about some more actual feedback and not a bunch of children whining. My initial thoughts. Pros: 1) The change to Battle Funds is good. I always hated the losing team getting next to nothing after a hard fought, and narrow loss. As we get used to it, maybe players will stay in battles to the end and make better battles. 2) I like the random maps, because some maps I did not play because certain turrets dominated those maps, i.e. Highways. That was a shaft heavy map. I played one the other day that had no shafts and did not figure out till the end why it was a good battle. Now you shafts ( I hate shafts think they are for) have to play on maps that are less advantageous to your turret. 3) It is good to have the teams even from the start. Not everyone starts at once, but the battle do not get one-sided from the start. Too many times before when you looked at the Battle Lists there was nothing but full or completely one-sided battles avail. Cons: 1) There were some uneven battles based on rank, but in the vlog it stated that was something they were working on. 2) Waiting time is kinda crappy, but it it means a better battle i can suffer through. After awhile I can probably get used to it. Although, I play at most of the highest usage times, I can see waits at low usage times will be much longer. 3) More maps, please. Overall it is just something else we HAVE to get used to. Not all good, not all bad, just different. At least devs are trying to make it better. Other: 1) Drones?!? Really?!? That looks and sounds like the stupidest, most annoying thing ever. Please Don't !!! 2) I am worried about getting hosed on this new module thing. We will have to see.

I still do not understand why I did not get credit for the Battle phase. I have 1/2 phases. I see another player has turns 2/2 Please tell what you have to do exactly, to have Battle phase counted? How to find out what you have to do if it changes?
-
I did the Strategy phase, but it seems the Battle phase did not count for me - I am missing something. How do I know how many kills I need to do in the battle phase for it to count for me? People talk about a green bar - I cannot see one - where should it be?
-
I voted and made my 200 kills over 8 hours ago and they still do not show. Typical Tanki. I predict it will be the usual, "... we are sorry for the trouble. Everyone that voted will have their vote count and we will give all those a free container." I almost did not participate in this venture, in that it looked complicated and per Tanki's usual attention to detail and premier execution, it was gonna be a mess. Lets see.

Excellent read James! As leader of an older and now mostly inactive clan, I see the truth of your article. I remember back in the day when we were in a clan together and what a mess it was. I knew you had been a helper, but now a member of the PRESS. Congrates! Thanks for your hard work.

How about an Overdrive that has random features like Gold Boxes did in several celebrations. It would be good to add some possible negative aspects as well as positive. Hit the button at 100% and it would give one of the following: All supplies, Invulnerable for ? sec's, Destroy you and everyone around (teammates of course) (that will make them happy and u popular!) Fly u to another part of the map Strips all protection for ? sec's, for u or all around when it goes off. #howtomakefriends Ability to lay mines with no cool downs for ? sec's Maybe give all features above at once, as a rare option. Could even go so far as have Overdrive cards like Bonus and discount cards, that allow a certain thing to happen when u hit 100% button.

What is involved with changing the founder or supreme commander of an existing clan?

I looked up Captain and general and there is a rank of Captain-general, and seems to be usually called Fieldmarshall. I think that is the closest yet.

Score cap for standard battles (Updated on August 28)
majormajormac replied to semyonkirov in News Archive
I am not sure if this idea has been put forth earlier, I did not read all the posts, but here is my take. I think there should be some way to have battles end early. I think it should NOT be the first to 5 in 15 min's, etc, - rather when one team is ahead by 5 or even 8. As soon as a team is ahead by 8 - battle over. That way the people who like to try comebacks have time and if it turns around then the battle goes to it's normal conclusion. And for those that get in a battle, score a few and the other team leaves - all they have to do is score the flags, cp's, etc, and the battle ends. Maybe even a graduated system. i.e. 15 min battles - a margin of 8 in the first 10 minutes and a margin of 5 in the last 5 minutes 30 min battles - a margin of 12 in first 10 minutes, 8 in next 15 minutes, and a margin of 5 in the last 5 minutes so on and so forth. And something similar in DM battles. -
I do not understand why TO is doing this change. TO changed crystal purchases at the end of July and those were a VERY good deal for US buyers. They were offering 438,000 crystals for $69.99 (US). It was a good deal. They said it was for currency exchange rates. I bought crystals the next time I got a double pass. Now, TO says that was way too much and changed to ONLY 200,000 crystals for $69.99 (US). That is quite a reduction after only 10 days. And an offer of 20,000 crystals for first time buyers does not really make a difference in a buying decision. If they did not buy crystals when the price was much better, why would they now for a measly 20,000 crystals. I do not think I will EVER buy crystals again, it seems like no one is even considering the ramification of changes like these on the overall players. I understand that if there were NO buyers, there would be NO free Tanki for anyone. Which is why I do not understand the problem some people have with buyers. If you never bought crystals then congratulations, you have had a fun and free time playing a good game. Bring back the better deal and maybe Tanki will get more buyers.

Mouse controls and changes in auto-aim mechanism
majormajormac replied to semyonkirov in News Archive
I found the mouse controls very cumbersome. Was something different for me? But the mouse only moves the turret and I use the right hand for my mouse, so it is switching hands. No way I can make that change. But I can not use them and so that is ok, did not figure I was going to use them. One of the big things I liked about Tanki was that it just used a keyboard. The changes to Isida are big for me. I hope that was just some bug or unintended consequence, but in maps like Noise while sitting on a ramp I could not hit anyone on the top until I actually went completely over the top and faced them. While they shoot me the whole time I am rising up. If this is left the way it is it renders the Isida next to useless. Visually it is also different and kinda weird. It seems to flow all across the entire tank. I guess that is the new auto aim that is adjusting the places it strikes.
