    Everything about Computers !

Hello. So in the end do you get into your operating system? What cable are you using to connect your computer and monitor? How old is the monitor?

    Everything about Computers !

Computers Old ones which served into new modern ones... You know you play Tanki, have you ever wondered to what hardware is there to let you do it? Ah, your using a laptop. Same thing but hardware is same but not to same scale factor. Within a computer you commonly would find; Processor (CPU, central processing unit - different reference) Motherboard (Basically where you plug all your components together, hence the name, it gives life to everything) RAM (Random access memory, you'll switch on your pc but without it nothing will be on the monitor) Graphics card (GPU, graphical processing unit - some may refer to it differently - its basically graphics engine which allows all those pixels to transfer into what you see on your monitor) Solid State Drive (SSD, its faster storage compared to a Hard Drive because it does not have any moving parts) Hard Disk Drive (HDD, traditional storage which are slower comparison to SSD's as they have moving parts) Power Supply Unit (PSU, gives all the power for your system to even switch on) Laptops, within some laptops you don't have a graphics card, so you may ask how is the graphics on the monitor there? That's because your processor has something called 'integrated graphics', this allows the processor to work generally as a processor and a graphical processing unit. They can be cheaper to buy if you don't have wide budget for a graphics card, however a integrated graphics on the processor are quite limited to their performance, as well as there is less performance from the Cpu it self. When people go buying a computer what is up in their mind..... Quite many walk into the store blunt looking at that one, oh yes it looks nice.... Nice don't mean its good :) When they walk in there they would probably lack knowledge to make fair judgement, by buying a pre-built computer or a company built computer you are paying to their price for the components, that they built it and of course their name as a company. With laptops, you don't build them really, its already pre-built for you, you want to get it, its got a nice mobile ability to carry around with a re-chargeable battery. However, with laptops your performance to the price is a big thing. For a big premium price you can get your self a god damn nice laptop, but for the same price you can get your self way better desktop. Of course with desktop computers you got it plugged into the socket, maybe got wheels on the case but you don't walk around with it? Sadly, desktops don't have rechargeable battery, they are not as easy to move around compared to laptops. Question: So desktops are bad? No! With laptops you are stuck pretty much to what it came out from the box, you cannot over clock it or upgrade (You could, not worth attempts). With a desktop you can overclock, customize and whatever comes to your mind. With a desktop compared to a laptop you could get your self more performance to same price however as I mentioned desktops are not mobile and don't have re-chargeable batteries. You can build it your self! Didn't you love lego in childhood? Here, its kind of the same principle if you'd like to build it. Not everyone loved lego did they :( Then you can pick the parts, of course they have to be compatible and appropriate for your wallet size #budget I also think some people might over look a desktop due to it being really a non mobile computer compared to a laptop, but that don't mean its so bad, you can trade that mobility ability to performance of skies :) If you have any questions regardless computer hardware based questions, you can feel free to ask here, If you want to build one, sure I will be glad to help. Building computers is my hobby, love it! Specially smell of fresh computer parts ^_^ Maybe you have some software questions? I will do best to help you, maybe someone else here will be able to help. Not as if one person can know everything. I will update the page with more facts and information which can be useful, in example cleaning your computer or replacing the thermal paste on your cpu.

€1500 Game / Video edit Desktop PC! Help please!

Yo. , why are you choosing laptop? How about a desktop? Have you got someone nearby who could assist if you were to build a desktop? (Desktop if you build it from own bought parts by your self is way cheaper than buying from a company). What are you going to do with the laptop, pure Tanki, any other particular stuff which could be potentially bottlenecked by your hardware.? Are you that type of person who is going to on daily basis transport the laptop around? You want to look at what first you want, If you certainly after my questions going for a laptop I can't help you as I specialise more in the desktop area, for the price of 700 usd I can configure you a desktop which would outperform these laptops, as well as a mouse, keyboard and monitor. I copied this from asdasemm's topic as you seem to be in same situation as well as from that topic I caught you needed in help.
