That's happened to me sometimes...(M2 XP here) It's probably cuz most of us use fracture/savanna and we're easy to spot (Ya know bright colors). Personally I don't think people go only for the Wasps, I've seen people go only for the XPs even with BPs around. I guess it differs with people :P.
