Growing your arsenal is now easier! No. It's harder - as I've shown. You hooked me with daily gifts - that were often crystals, and small rank increases that yielded crystals. I didn't mind the switch to daily missions - so long as they yielded crystals, but you are clearly phasing them out. I was an avid micro-upgrder - until I recently learned how extraordinarily expensive that is. And now you're taking away some of the M series upgrades. So my prospects for continual improvement are disappearing. If I can only upgrade in mighty leaps that are a long time apart - I lose hope of ever advancing. So what's the point of logging in each day? I can't see any. Every rung you've removed from the ladder has diminished my hope of ascending. You've taken away my hope. Great marketing! Growing your arsenal is now easier!

Because a small something is better than a big, fat nothing.

Still. My cheapest option now is 70,500 for Hornet M2 - which is not going to happen anytime soon - not this side of Christmas. The cheaper choices that TO have taken away from me are; Smokey M1, Hornet M1, Vulcan M1, and Railgun M1. Indeed, I could've had Hornet M1 and Railgun M1 and Smokey M1 for less than 70,000. Thanks, TO! <sarc, obv.>

Seems I failed to spell it out. Isida - same price Smokey - 10 times more expensive Vulcan - 3 times more expensive Thunder - 4 times more expensive Railgun - 3 times more expensive Wasp - same price Hornet - 3 times more expensive Hunter - same price. Has this update helped me, or hindered me?

I don't see a sale, I see that I've been PROHIBITED from upgrading! What stunning marketing genius!

Lang: English. Violator: Tanki Online (the company)

I accuse Tanki Online of "fraud or other dishonesty" in so much as; 1. They fail to show - at the point of purchase - the sum of the costs of micro-upgrades. 2. They falsely advertise a price reduction which is merely an acknowledgement that part of the full list price has already been paid, 3. They attempt to greatly overcharge. 4. They falsely advertise that price reduction as a discount. The remaining price should be 8,017 not 51,754. TO needs to sort that out. Because I do not know the sum of micro-upgrades, I do not know if I have been led to overpay for them. TO needs to sort that out. I do not claim to have been defrauded, since I have never bought crystals, but TO's failure to show full costs, and providing a means to overpay are clear signs of dishonesty - which is contrary to both the game rules and local laws. -
I think you're mixing up two different things. TO is entertainment - it's a service industry, So yes, for state puposes their profits are from providing services. But _in the game_ the thing they _sell_ is ostensibly a currency. The problem I see it that it's a worthless currency - so why would anyone buy it? And how can they lawfully sell it? I simply can't get my head around that. If I buy crystals, and then close my account. TO will be left holding my property - in the form of crystals, and as a consumer, I should have the right to take my crystals, or their monetary value - except the crystals don't exist, and their value is [declared to be] zero. In this game, I seem to have no consumer rights _at all_. How is that lawful?

It looks more like a exit strategy to me. One last push to milk this herd before we dump this game and move on to the new game.
-
I'm not suggesting it should be obligatory. I think it would be fun.

What about the lowest ranks?
-
Undoubtedly they are providing a range of services, but they don't _sell_ services, they _sell_ crystals: and they don't charge for the real services they do provide; access to the game, time spent in the game, use of equipment in the game,... It reminds me on an infamous Madam who provided free services, and sold luncheon vouchers: her customers even got a sandwich - but she still went to jail.

Live-firing was only 1/3 rd of that part. Even if it's only stationary targets, I think it has potential. Perhaps such a place would be more suitable for daily missions, rather than messing up other people's games, or having to negotiate terms with others.

I think TO is missing a trick here. The current choices are fighting (DM), fighting (TDM), fighting (CTF), fighting (CP) or parkour - which seems to be mostly about climbing up on things. Frankly, I get tired of fighting, and there's not much else to do. There are two potential alternatives; Racing: Initially, that's just a case of creating a suitable map with a start/finish line and a starting gun, and seeing if it gets used. You could ask users to create maps. Training: A timed obstacle course with stationary and/or moving targets and/or live-firing targets. (Think "Dirty Harry" - live-fire training competiton.) Both of those could introduce some new competitive spirit into the game, and have potential for a "Highest Scores" board.

I'm kinda curious - from a consumer protection pov - as to what exactly it is that you sell. It's not goods, or property - they can be carried away and kept. In England we had a situation where employers were paying their workers in tokens, redeemable at the company shop for shoddy, overpriced goods. The practise was outlawed by the Truck Acts. It's not currency. Currency is transferable and redeemable. Casinos use tokens in their games, but those tokens are redeemable for cash. If the thing you're selling has no substance, no property rights and no value, then how are you able to lawfully sell it?

I thought tortoise75 getting the gold was the best joke, so that got my vote.
