I use Ricochet almost exclusively, and am obviously ​Extremely in love with​ a fan of the turret. I joined tanki a few years ago, and after dabbling in twins and shaft I settled on Ricochet. How are people saying its not a good gun? Without using any drugs (mainly cause I'm too miserly) I can make it to the top three in most scenarios. ADVANTAGES In my mind there are many pluses to the gun. First of all, the ability to Ricochet off of walls is a huge plus, especially in trolling​ engaging friendly players on the battlefield. Many is the time I have heard the curses of unfortunate tanks that are hiding around the corner, hoping to escape in time (especially on the alleyways in Rio) before meeting defeat. Only negatives I have found with this is that in occasional fits of noobnishness/sleepyness I will fire randomly several times until I self-destruct from the rebound, usually with a few tanks nearby to see (and laugh) at my failure. I have found it to have a high damage rate, and only need 5/6 shots for a small hull, 10 with medium hulls, and 15 or so for large turrets using fully upgraded m1 rico. With double damage its nearly invincible if paired with Viking or Hornet, and with double armor and mammoth I can protect the flag from repeated attacks without any health kits or isidia assistance. Probably one of the greatest feelings you can get while playing with rico is when a railgun is firing, you shoot one fiery ball at the corner of the hull, and knock the shot into the distance. Being next to a freshly fired railgun is held (in my book) to be one of the most refreshing moments of tankionline, especially as you destroy the helpless tank. definitely one of the aspects that make this gun awesome. DOWNSIDES Every hero has some flaw, and rico is no exception. Some are things that don't really bother me, mainly because I'm a pro with it (insert laughing trolls), but I thought they were worth putting in here. Many tankers complain of the recoil from Rico as being too strong and knocking off their aim too easily, especially with lighter hulls. I agree with this somewhat, but if you apply yourself as I have its not incredibly hard to keep it on target. Lots of practice is needed to master the rico-il (dadum-tss), which does bring the gun down a bit. Looking back, many people complain of slow reload. I've got a foot in the boat with the rest of you, and while taking out a single enemy is fairly easy, getting caught in a swarm doesn't help your d/l. With careful usage of firing and knowing how many shots a tank needs, you can safely maneuver yourself to victory. BEST COMBOS Personally my fav combos are Ricochet with m1 Hornet, Viking, and Mammoth (occasionally m1 titan, not too much though), varying on what I need it for. Hornet is great for sneaking onto the enemy turf on CTF and CP. On a similar note, Mammoth is great for guarding the flag in CTF, and having an isidia nearby to heal any damages will ensure that no one gets the flag. Viking is best for DM and TDM when you need more armor. Hope this short comprehensive guide helps someone become a better Rico user!

Not to be mean, but its hilarious how everyone is up in arms about it. Admit it, you drugged at least once in the game, right? I have before, its fun, and if the other players are smart theyll drug back! Why is this appearing to be a big issue???

like I said, I do get annoyed when that happens. But, that doesn't mean I get mad at anyone or accuse them of being unfair. they just have more powerups than me, and there is nothing wrong in them wanting to use them.

Great article! As someone who has no drugs at the moment, i do find it annoying when a drugger destroys my frail hull. But who cares? Do you run a race and complain that the winner won because of his shoes and teleporter? i dont think so. Relax guys, drugging is a small part of what makes the game fun. tell me you havent had fun with full drugs, smashing through every tank in your path.

how bout one that consists of four treads, two in the front and two in the back. it would be the size of Viking, but if you run into a wall it will be able to raise and pier over it because of the treads. it would nave poor armour, and would mostly be a sniper gun, but it would be pretty awesome :D
