Football Tournament: The Second Gen of D_A_R_K_F_I_N's Community Events
You.Have.to.die replied to You.Have.to.die in Writers' Corner
When I last wrote for the AWC, I remember it was font size 12 for the main body and font size 14 for titles/ Introduction + Conclusion. It is quite easy to join the event, just join the discord server. Unless you meant that you do not have time for them. Yeah, it is basically just football, hence the name. -
Football Tournament: The Second Gen of D_A_R_K_F_I_N's Community Events

Hello Tankers! Have you heard about the Football Tournament hosted by Event Helper ‘D_A_R_K_F_I_N’? If not, then you are missing out. In this article, I will be explaining what the Football Tournament is and why you should get involved. So, without further ado, lets blow the whistle. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Procedure ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ To begin with, five minutes before the start of the Football Tournament, players are recommended to join the Discord voice channel called “Football Tournament Chat”. This will make it easier for D_A_R_K_F_I_N to communicate with the participants. The participants do not need to talk but need to be listening to D_A_R_K_F_I_N. Then, once every participant is in the voice channel, D_A_R_K_F_I_N or any helper of the Football Tournament will invite the participants to the map. When the participants have entered the map, all participants will line up across the football pitch (stadium) and four participants will volunteer to become team captains and equip the correct paints corresponding to their team colour. Next, the team captains will choose who they want to be on their team (one by one), these chosen participants take the paint of their team respectively. Each team will consist of 3-5 players (depending on the number of participants). The players from each team can go into their respective team voice channel or stay in the main voice channel with the spectators. Now, the first fixture will take place (chosen randomly before the start of the Football Tournament). During the match, each team must work together to score three goals, or score more goals than the other team before the end of the match. Each match is approximately five minutes long. The match starts when D_A_R_K_F_I_N or the referee throws the ball into the centre circle of the pitch. The players of both teams cannot enter the centre circle until the ball has touched the ground. Once the match has begun, the teams will have to try and make three successful passes without the ball being intercepted by the other team. The other team can intercept the ball by getting on the top on your tank, blocking a pass or making the other team put the ball out of the playing area by ramming them off the pitch. Once three successful passes have been made, the team can score a goal by dribbling towards the net (in front the rugby capture points) and shooting, making the ball go into the net. The other team can stop this by blocking the shot or catching the ball on the goal line. If a team scores, the ball goes back to the centre circle where a player from the opposite team passes the ball to one of the other players in their team (this will indicate the restart of the match). If the ball rolls out of the playing area, it is a throwing (just like in Football) and if it goes out of the playing area next to the goal, it is a goal kick or a corner kick (more information about this in the 'Basic Rules' section). Once one team has scored three goals or five minutes have been played, the results of the match are recorded. Each team will play each team once and the two teams with the highest number of points overall will play in the finals to decide the overall winner. The winner of the finals is declared to be the overall winner of the Football Tournament. Both teams in the finals will receive a prize for their participation in the form of a promocode. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Basic Rules ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Equipment: Hornet / Wasp, Isida, Red, Blue, White, Orange paints with no protections. RED TEAM in the battle is for team players that are playing against each other. BLUE TEAM in the battle is for team players that are not having a match at the time, this means that the players on the blue team spectate in the require area without interrupting the match in play. Match Rules - · Start of the Match All players must be in their own half of the field of play. The ball is in play when it touches the ground. · Throw-in When the ball passes over the touchline, a throw-in is awarded to the opponents of the player who last touched the ball. · Corner kick Corner kick is awarded when the ball passes over the goal line, having last touched a player of the defending team, and a goal is not scored. · Goal Kick Goal kick is awarded when the ball passes over the goal line, having last touched a player of the attacking team, and a goal is not scored. When team player kick's the goal kick, everyone else must be outside of the goal kick area. · Scoring a Goal The ball must be passed with own team players 3 times before a player can try to score a goal. It's a goal when the ball passes over the goal line, and a goal is scored. The ball must be "kicked" into a goal, not by "carrying" the ball into a goal. · After a goal is scored After a team scores a goal, the kick-off is taken by their opponents. All players, except the player taking the kick off, must be in their own half of the field of play. · End of the Match A single tournament match is played in 5 minutes or up to 3 goals. · Match Results Three points for the team who won the match, one point for each team that drew the match and zero points to the team that lost the match. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Why you should get involved ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Football Tournament is done on Weekends, which means that the event is accessible to many time zones and therefore is less likely to clash with real life events. Furthermore, the Football Tournament offers prizes to those successful participants, so you could earn crystals while having a good time with some friends. The prizes include: 1st place = 4000 crystals per participant and 2nd place = 2000 per participant, this will be given to you by D_A_R_K_F_I_N in the form of a promocode. The Football Tournament is accessible to everyone, all you need to do is enter the Racing & Football Event discord server. The link is below. If you want to see a visual representation of a similar Football Tournament, you can visit Stream TO and watch any of the videos. To see more information about the Football Tournament visit the Forum Topic here. >> Discord Server << ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Well, that is all. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy the festive celebrations currently going on in Tanki Online! Just to check that you have been playing attention, there is one promocode in this article. Good luck! Ciao.- 10 replies

Guide [Issue 80] Road To 1,000,000 Crystals

It has been a long road, but I'm glad you finally made it. I also made it to 1M using newspaper money. Entering contests is a priority, and enjoying them is just an added bonus. Not too long before you reach Marshal. Also, how long ago was that first photo? That was like your first year of being a clan leader! -
Wait, does Hexed live in Yorkshire??? Umm...
-
Btw, Grand has not gone on Holiday to Yorkshire. So you have a 1 in 9 chance. :P

The author. I was just adding some extra points for improvement. :)

To continue with this, I will would to give you some advice: try to expand your vocabulary, it is quite simple and doesn't make your writing anymore interesting, try and use a lighter colour like elderflower when highlighting the key points and finally add a picture on the gameplay section, it will help you get to your point across more easily. However, good start and welcome to the AWC!

Guide [Issue 76] Editorials: 10 Traits of a Successful Duelist

Can I join you in your multing spree? Glad you enjoyed it. :) I could have not included you. That would be a crime. Lack of experience, you will have more chance of writing it than me. I try to add some humour to it. But that reminds me, I need to ask Magentia for a lesson on writing humour. -
Wow, you still need to rank up :D
