The 360- Worth It or Not?

I am an active eSports critic and in my candid interview with one of the legends in the game, I would like to tell you about the 360 shot, which almost every player brings out of their bag, but is not of much use in eSports. However let’s start off with some general information about the 360. The shot and its mechanics Precise origin of the shot is unknown, but many believe that it was first brought out in parkour battle due to it’s visually appealing nature. The 360 shot, as the name suggests is a sudden movement of both the hull and the turret in the same direction done by a player usually when he/she has their back towards their enemy. The shot works best with Railgun, as its warming up time compensates for the tank’s rotation. How to do the 360 The execution of the 360 should be done with respect to your opponent’s position. Ideally for the best results, one should keep their turret at 220-200 degree (this range is inclusive of all m0, m1, m2 and m3 tanks). Tankers having m2/m3 should target the lower end of the range and those having m0/m1 should go for the higher end. One should then move both the hull and the turret towards the enemy. Why does it work? The sole purpose of the 360 is to make your opponent MISS. The chances of the shot hitting are so minute, that even a good opponent, in anticipation would start shooting. Remember! This is a surprise shot. Hence, it should never be done while facing towards the enemy. eSports perspective-is it worth it? The clear answer is NO! eSports is a vast field and it has numerous factors affecting the outcome of every match. The 3 important factors that govern the choice of a shot are as follows. Situation As mentioned earlier, the prime objective of the 360 is to make your opponent miss. Whenever, a tanker in eSports attempts to go for the flag (light format), he/she usually has double armor with them and it is not a wise move to move your tank around instead of just running with the flag. Your team will certainly will be there at your aid, but they need to kill your opponent team while your opponent team only need to hunt you! Also if you do manage to find an isolated area and have only one foe behind you, don’t forget that he/she is a veteran. Map Selection Maps selection is yet another important aspect. The 360 though visually appealing and tough to perform, at the end of the day is a shot. The prime objective is to make your opponent miss. Hence, it becomes critical for you to have a wall/house, etc. close to you in case your opponent is able to redirect their shot or if they do not shoot. Big and open maps such as Stadium are not a great choice for you to go with the 360 as a good opponent would firstly be able to predict your move and not shoot and secondly even if you do mange to make him/her miss, it will not bring you are benefit as you no longer have this trump card with you anymore and still have running after you. Battle Formats It is nobody’s preference in light formats as a smoky player might (90%) be able to divert your shot, so now you become vulnerable to your opponent’s attack and have no offence of your own. In hard formats on the other hand, anybody would be surprised if you are concerned with making your opponent miss rather than just killing them! Thank you all for reading this and I really hope this is useful to you is some way. Good Luck!

    Let's Discuss Striker!

Striker when used with viking is of course a great combo. however it becomes a bit too overpowered when used with the drone booster. its parameters should be tweaked a little. Also with viking's overdrive its shooting speed is not that much if compared to thunder/ricochet/smoky. .
