Gee, your friend sure has a hard time here in the world of arcade tank simulation. I pity your troubled past. One of your colleagues gave me one of your selfies. Given your physical appearance, it's not hard to see why you weren't welcome. (source: Bogleech) But IMO, you look cool. I can infer from your post that you are using a fictional friend to mimic those purists that actively shun supplies -- and end up being brutally owned every match they play in. I agree that we won't be able play comfortably without supplies. Great job, giant-magic-mythical-creature-from-pyroland. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your posts. But you don't seem to be hitting the point. We're not complaining about the existence of supplies, we're complaining about the "abusive" use of supplies. BTW, the term "abusive" is subjective and it can mean anything from an enemy popping a DD to try and WIN against you to a M4 Mammoth drugging in order to wipe your team and ruin your day. Yep. It varies from person to person. Just like you (probably; I hope that you use supplies wisely), I tend to exercise self-restraint and refrain from mashing the number keys unless there's a mad drugger in the game and I want to have a go at him/her. (or surviving the melee prior to the dropping of the gold box/ capturing a flag while on low health with Viking) Yes, you are right. Some people will simply keep cussing over how they're underperforming, supplies or not.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA The 15% universal damage reduction is virtually useless when you get paints that provide 50% protection against your worst nightmare. Paints like Zeus. I agree that the it's overpowered during the M0-M1 period, but after that, we'd all give up universal protection for something that will save us from our worst adversaries.
-
I agree. It's problematic to implement a universal standard when the number of control points between different maps vary.

Objectional Campaign Against DEVs have reduced the Daily missions' crystals

Strictly speaking, we're not getting stuff for free. We have to put in an hour or two to get the goods. IMO, the staff should regularly organize a report every month or so, telling us about the fine-tuning they've been doing in secret. That way, they may be able to receive our feedback on the smaller matters of the game's development, which could help them further improve their development strategy. -
Aww... This is touching. It's sad to hear that you're leaving. You're my favourite editor, and you will always be. In our hearts. Godspeed.

[Issue 42] Gaming with Buddies: Friends in Tanki
AnduinFX replied to TriNitroToIuene in Newspaper Archive
Don't worry. TNT. I'm gonna send you one. :P -
Just like you. I was playing on Polygon CP (try that sometime; the fund growth rate is insane). I had a sliver of health and I saw a repair kit, so I made a beeline for it. The front of the hull was a millimetre away from the box when a railgun shot hit me and murdered my tank.

I got my gold box a minute ago. Not joking. :D

Between Chrome and Firefox, yes. Please note that it varies from player to player.

Name: Social Activist Location: Forum and Chat Have you ever wanted to piss off people and get away with it? If you're typing Y-E-S on your crappy membrane keyboard, then this is the opportunity of your life! We are looking for people that uncontrollably spew provocative garbage from their mouth in a sophisticated and mature manner. A PhD in Internet trolling is required, and so is an obsession for fried chicken. Please note that AlternivaPlatform is not responsible for permanent bans and other punishments issued due to the nature of this post. 85 words. -
My birthday's on Dec 9. Oh, and yeah. Happy birthday M1M2AndyQu10, samuelmanasseh and fighter309!

That depends. According to my personal anecdotes, Chrome has the best graphics, Firefox has Mouse controls that I can't use properly for some magical reason, and IE is choked with ads that pop out whenever I open a new window or click on a link. Chrome serves me the best. But it's different for every one of us. We all have our preferences. :) As for your problem with browsers, our best bet is TO Unity, which includes souped-up graphics, souped-up audio, and anti-sprite technology. It's rumoured that there will be a client for the souped-up game, which could solve the whole browser dilemna you have here.

Add me please; I'm from Hong Kong. Other than that, I can't see China on the list. Can you add that? I'm sure there are many aspiring Chinese players in the community, and they'd like to have their names on the list.

MikeyDeSanta has been banned for 15 BILLION YEARS. Reason: Not using green text in ban message --> Rules that don't exist

Well...Um...neutral. First, F2P doesn't mean you don't need to pay. It just means that the entry fee is $0. Because of this peculiar trait, such F2P games have to find a way to scrap together some money. TO does it by putting various perks on sale for hard currency. If you think TO is simply broken, you're free to quit and find something else to play, although I have yet to find some large-scale productions that don't feature P2W of any sort. Excluding MC servers, that is. Crystal boxes were removed because we players, both frugal and affluent, had enough of "crystal hunters": people that do nothing other than grabbing crystal boxes. I wasn't involved in the decision (or the protest; I'm relatively new), but from what I've heard, the situation was terrible. However, 20% protection from all weapon and mine damage is definitely overpowered. Thank God they toned that down to 15%. The protection levels on the exclusive paint is broken early-game, but when you get to the point where paints provide 30%(or more) damage reduction from this and that, you'll realize that you're looking at two different styles of protection: one with a broad, but shallow spectrum; another with a narrower, but more specialized one. Besides that, we're lucky that TO is relatively free-rider friendly. We have access to most features (exclusive paints, spectator mode, ban commands, et.c.) without paying, and that includes drugs. You make it sound as if drugs were bought with hard cash, which is not the case. While the game is indeed unfair to those that don't pay, it's because TO needs to give reasons for people to pay and keep it running, and those people are the ones you are condemning for causing this fiasco.

Thanks for writing this guide. Viking's my favourite hull and now I know more about it.

Oh wow. I have a 5S. I'm very reluctant to trade it in for a newer one. They're too large for my comfort.

This is a short, sweet summary of your gameplay history. Nice job! I can see you're an XP fanatic. You must be really good with dem nasty railguns. I'm plain jelly. :P I hope you're gonna have a fun time playing this game.

20227. 2.0227% to goal. Keep it going guys!

Right now, I'm wondering when Semyon is gonna jump out of nowhere, announce "We have XT-fied everything", then run off into the sunset. I can't wait to see elephants sniping in TO. P.S. : Devs, if you're reading this, add XT items into Unity. And make them remodels, NOT retextures.

Actually, the woeful missions you got are for Master Sargeants like me. *BA DUM TISS* That still proves your point though. 450 crystals a day is too little for a guy that needs 3 million. I've watched some old Tanki videos, and the Gens in them get 6750 crystals for their missions, not 450. Judging from what someone else said, Gens rake in about 500-2000 crystals daily (a conservative estimate), which is modest, but still not enough. I'm not saying that we should petition for 6750-crystal missions, but the payments for daily missions need to be tweaked and buffed (slighty; overpowered missions would kickstart hyperinflation), so they'll remain poportional to rank.

I have an ancient Fujitsu laptop. Intel i5-2200 2.6 GHz Nvidia GT 620T Ghosting keyboard with 2-key rollover :( I kinda forgot everything else. Runs TO at 40-60 FPS, often drops to 0 FPS at peak hours. (usually because I live in Hong Kong, and I always log onto the EN servers)

Personally, I think Firebird XT would look cooler if it was modelled after a pheonix. Partially because a pheonix-based design relates with the name "Firebird" more.

Actually, they haven't even made a decision on the "can I transfer my stuff to Unity version" bit yet. They're still playing around with a new economy system. Here's a weather report of TO for the next three months: Severe turbulence, modification-skipping and leaderboard moonsoons from Russia. More XT showers are expected for the rest of September. Analysts predict that there will be a global inventory wipe on Christmas Day. The devs say it would be a nice Christmas present for everyone. Buckle up. This year will be bumpy.
