    Details about the lag

i live in the san francisco bay area, and the lag has been awful for quite some time, at least a week or two... I have comcast, 50MB down, 12MB up. I had them come out and check my entire house, and the drop from the street. They also ran a diagnostic on my entire neighborhood, and no other trouble was found. Internet is good, check. I use a laptop over wifi (802.11n) HP Pavilion DV7 INtel Core i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20 GHz 16 GB RAM 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium, SP1 512 GB SSD drives (no hard disk) While lag is happening, I have run dozens of speed tests and ping tests to other domains and servers, and they all work fine, no indication of any trouble. I experience the same "ghost world" as others report, seems like the local flash client (game code) is running, but has no comms with the server (usually EN2, but I have tried most of them, same) Turrets spin, shaft lasers stay lit, firebird flames on, freeze is non stop, etc. When play returns, the "speedup" effect happens, with tanks flying around the map catching up to their positions (as if all the movements were stuck in a queue, and finally made it the the local game engine) I love Tanki (I am 52), and my son (8) and I used to play quite often together. It is now so frustrating that I won't really even try to log in. Until this is resolved, can you put a notification onscreen when we log in, to indicate server/issue status? FPS and ping times are nice, but a short "things are still screwed up" or "we fixed the lag!" message would ease the stress of trying and failing to play. Thanks for a great game, and feel free to contact me directly if you want to use me for remote diagnostics. I am a network engineer. Best of luck to all the devs, and fellow tankers! Howeird
