You're probably right. I just remembered that my opinion is going to be biased since my Firebird M2 is fully upgraded (and my Wasp M2 nearly is). Even then, Twins M2 with no upgrades is giving me lots of trouble at close range.

It's one of the few turrets of the game that has never been underpowered since I joined, and during most of that time it was very OP. My only consolation is that most of the players I have faced who use Twins have little skill, so I can still get good kills against them anyway. Also I have noticed a disproportionate number of them drug heavily compared to those who use other turrets. I remember some of the older battles where Twins was even more OP than now; there were top players who didn't die once but amassed 30+ kills per battle. I personally think Twins itself isn't that bad, but the types of players who are attracted to such a turret (i.e. very hard-core druggers) give it a bad name. Without drugs Twins is reasonably well balanced now, but its infinite ammo allows it to become very overpowered in the hands of druggers.

I've been in some battles now since Magnum was introduced and I can safely say it's the only turret that can effectively shoot behind walls safely while 1-shotting multiple tanks at a time. I and my teammates in one battle were charging to take the flag (I had the lightest hull of them, an upgraded Wasp M2 and all 3 of us were on full health). The shot from the Magnum missed us, but because of the splash damage half our team was killed in a single shot (most shocking of all was that the Viking M3 was 1-shotted too). I am afraid this new weapon has made all light hulls obsolete now, especially since the light hulls were substantially nerfed on speed with still ultra-low health. This Magnum essentially changes the play of the game. It became so dangerous once players got used to using it that in recent battles the players often target the Magnum first before capturing the flag (because otherwise there is no hope for a victory). I myself cannot dodge the weapon with my Wasp's slow speed and the weapon is powerful enough to 1-shot me just by using splash damage (it doesn't even have to hit me directly).

My Wasp used to have about 12.25 speed before the update. Now it says 11.2.

I've noticed lately that Wasp is much slower (I have an upgraded M2) than it once was. Before it was significantly faster than medium and heavy hulls, which made up for its lack in health. But now many of the medium hulls travel faster than I do (and almost every hull has a faster turn in battle!). I am concerned that I wasted my crystals on this hull when it now isn't a viable choice of hull in M2-M3-M4 battles. I also noticed that the Hornet seems much slower and is now a bad choice in battle. On the other hand, my Hunter seems more deadly than ever with good health, fairly high top speed, and awesome turning speed (far better than Wasp). I personally am not suffering too much from this strange nerf, thanks to my fully upgraded Firebird M2 and my Hunter M2, but I am worried about the direction this game is going: it is causing more and more players to start using medium and even heavy hulls (which are now a lot faster) due to Wasp and Hornet no longer being realistic choices in serious battle, making the gameplay dry and uninteresting.

Yes Firebird's burn got nerfed fairly recently.

Firebird + Alteration is a little too strong but stock Firebird at M2, M3, and M4 levels is too weak. Stock Firebirds at these levels really need a buff in the burn feature because that is what makes Firebird unique and useful. The alteration is unlike other alterations and needs to overall not buff the turret or nerf it, just trade off certain parameters for others. Right now people who could afford the alteration have a huge advantage over people who couldn't, even if their Firebird was OP before the update. I'm not willing to pay an additional 100K on top of the 500K+ crystals I have spent upgrading my Firebird M2 just to get it to be at least somewhat competitive against other stock M2s.

5/10 FYI for my garage: Firebird M2+ (50/50) Freeze M2 (14/50) Wasp M2 (1/50) Hunter M2 (10/50) Hohloma LGC-40 (1/11)

Not if there are druggers in all your battles and even if you do well and get 100+ XP, you will only get around ~10 crystals. This is exactly my problem, despite my superior equipment the druggers are trashing me still because they have such a huge advantage.

I actually got Hunter for the max speed, not the health, so this update kind of hurts me. The same is true for my Wasp: it once was fastest by a good margin and had less health but now they made it really slow and barely added any health to justify it. So now it feels like a Viking M0 instead of a Wasp M2.

Its burn is pretty bad right now, but I expect Tanki devs will be changing the stats to make it more balanced soon. Remember that no turret stays UP forever, so it may actually be worth getting it while it is cheaper now if you like the concept of the turret.

I would say definitely Thunder since the M2 version does the same damage as my 49/50 Firebird M2 at close range, only it has a much better range. I get especially annoyed by drugging Thunder M2s/M3s which can easily 1-shot my upgraded Hunter M2. This makes me rage every time I am killed by them.

My Firebird M2 is now up to 49/50 on MUs. It finally does decent damage to just barely compete with the stock M2 turrets but the burn is still terrible and wouldn't even cook my eggs runny. At close range its damage is about the same as a stock Thunder M2.

Me too, to a certain point.

Occasionally it takes more than two shots but an overwhelming majority of the time this is the case. Thunder M3 takes away more than half my Hunter's health in one shot (which makes it really annoying when I am facing Lieutenant Colonels and Colonels who got it before it was buffed).
