No, because a mine does not enhance/alter the abilities of my hull, turret or paint.

And that is the challenge. I cannot wait to get up to a Smoky-M2. I've heard so many good things about it. However, Smoky's vertical axis is better than most.

It's fun! And challenging without drugging. I do not drug but I do use the "hardware" available (mines). Mines do not enhance my turret, hull or health, so I do not consider it a drug. I find them useful when being pursued on the move or for covering a blind spot when camping. The only luxury I will allow myself is any upgrade for the Smoky turret or Hunter hull. I will not use any special paints. I will force myself to maneuver as it will be my main protection - not being there when the shot comes. It is a balance of cover and shot accuracy when using this combination without special protection or enhancements. Eventually, this combo will rise and fall when new ranks are achieved and better weapons are faced. But it's OK. This experiment is turning out to be a fun challenge.
