My conclusion is based on the fact that on all of the days that the tunnels were measured, the average length of the tunnels from the colonies in the dark were all longer than the tunnels dug by the colonies in the light. For example, on day 1, the average length from the colonies in the light was 5 mm, while the average length of the colonies in the dark was 7 mm. By day 15, the colonies in the light dug an average length of 66 mm, and the colonies in the dark dug an average length of 110 cm. By day 21, the colonies in the light dug an average length of 103 mm, and the colonies in the dark dug an average length of 136 mm. science hw :ph34r:
