There's a bug with Shaft. If you get destroyed when you are turning the turret while using the scope, when you respawn, your turret will keep turning that way until you hit the button again. Example: If you die pressing the left arrow in the scope, your turret will keep rotating counterclockwise until you hit the left arrow again. It's a pretty annoying bug and happened a lot.
