This is in fact a downgrade and a cynical attempt to milk more cash out of gamer's to stay competitive. Most players will not bother to post on forum but this is overly complex ,confusing and badly thought through. In general the protection module format is better than the previous system but when initiated there should have been a clean sweep of the old system all funds for paint costs and upgrades should have been returned to players and the system rebooted with good descriptions of what we are buying. Players in general feel aggrieved and let down by the tanki team and numbers are dropping.
