They start out by making it OP. Then everyone is going with the hype that a new OP turret is going to be released. Then they lower the stats just before the release. Plenty will not look at the stats before buying and will buy anyway. Then when they use it in battle, it is not the killer it was thought to be.

Until they nerf it.

Maybe because the test servers don't have the same features as the live servers, you know - lag, error connections, jump hackers, noobs, etc....

I don't get the big deal about having a handful testing the new turret. Is it jealousy that runs through the veins of those who were not not chosen for the task? It's not like "everyone else has the new turret except me" - just a handful. Live testing would be the way to go in order to get an accurate reading. You guys are acting like it is permanent, that no one else will receive this turret. I thought by now many of you would already know that nothing is permanent in this game. Oh the drama....

They should take it to the battlefield and livestream it.

No one has to sell you on anything. It is not a noob turret, you have to be precise in order to make a hit. If you are not good with Smoky, then by all means get something else. Just admit to yourself that you cannot handle such a versatile weapon that can be devastating in the right hands.

If they increased the cooldown times (which created difficulties for the respawner), then why not increase the ghosting time of the respawner as well? It would give a chance to get away from a spawn killer.

That experiment slowed down the game to a crawl. It was not the same, fun, fast-paced game for those 48 hours.
