Rocketmonkey is right. You have plenty of M1's to keep you competitive, so you need to start saving for M2's. I made the mistake of trying to buy a lot of M1's at your rank and beyond, so because I only just got an M2, I am slightly underpowered in most of the battles I join. Unless I play with lower ranks that still have M1's :P. If you start saving for an M2 kit now, you will be able to get it right away when it unlocks a little later, and you will be able to dominate. Buy something that unlocks early like Anaconda, Avalanche, or Voltage, and then save for the better M2 kits, like Northerner, Annihilator, or Pitbull.

Yeah I didn't think that was the case. But I have never bought anything with real money so far, so I wasn't sure exactly how it worked. Lol

I would definitely say to go for Northerner. Is it available in your Shop to buy right now with $$? Idk. If not, then you will have to wait a while to get to its unlock rank, which is Captain, and with the Equipment you've got now, I don't think you have to worry about any of your stuff becoming underpowered for a while. I made it to my rank using Wasp Firebird M1, and only got my Freeze M2 during the Holiday Sale, so you will be fine. Once you get to around my rank, then you will start seeing a lot of M2's and you will need to get an M2 of your own. As for your other choices, I saw a guy using the Firebolt kit, and he had like a 84-6 D/L, so yes, Fire M2 is a beast., and one of the Fire kits would not disappoint you As for the Twins kits, Twins has always bored me, even though I have played a lot with Twins M1, there is no real strategy to it. You just run at people while holding down the space bar. So those would not be my first choice. Boar could do well for you, and Anaconda is ok. I look at Simoom as the poor man's Annihilator, because Viking is better than Dict, IMO. Pitbull or Annihilator would be a good choice for you, and I would go for Northerner in the long run.

Yeah I can believe that. I think I am going to wait a rank to buy Northerner after all. I think that you can use just about anything on Viking, so that will be fun to mount my Freeze M2 on as well. Northerner it is! Sigh, I have a lot of exp to gain though. Just curious, did you drug a lot? I am assuming you did, to get 178-29. I don't really have a lot of supplies because I don't have the crystals to buy them, but I think that I will be able to do fine anyway. Everyone is still running around with an M1 hull at my rank, so to have Smoky M2 at Captain would just be OP.

I have been doing my research over the last few days, and I am starting to think about getting Northerner kit when I rank up to Captain. My only problem with this is that I have to wait a long time to rank up, and I don't really want to do that, but I think it will be better in the long run to get Smoky.

I get that Thunder M2 isn't a great upgrade from M1. But it is still an M2, and right now the only M2 I have is Freeze, and that gives me a limited amount of maps I can play on effectively. So I think that whatever maps I could use Hammer on, I could use Freeze on. That is just my opinion though, but I think I need a longer ranged weapon than Hammer to stay effective, because my M1 Rail will not do the job as I move up in ranks. You could say I should get Rail M2, but I am starting to lose interest in my Rail a little bit, and I think Thunder or Smoky would be better. A lot of people have said that Smoky M2 is really good, and an equal amount of people have said that Thunder M2 is bad, but I have to wait until Captain when the Smoky M2 kits unlock. I just ranked up not too long ago, so I still have a while to go, and I want an M2 M2 combo as soon as possible. Should I wait untill Smoky kits unlock and buy Northerner, or buy Annihilator or Glaze now? (Sorry for the wall of text)

Just go into your garage and click on Shop. It should show you how much crystals you could buy.

Hmm. I might have to buy Fireworks kit now. Yesterday I had a lot of fun in a Highways CTF with my Freeze. I got behind the buildings in the enemy base with my Wasp and then just popped out and killed all of the campers. Hammer + Hornet would be perfect for that.

I agree with you about the lack of maps you can play on with snipers. You do have a point about the little difference between M1 and M2 of both Thunder and Rail, so I guess you should buy Smoky. Smoky has a huge difference between M1 and M2 as far as I have seen.
