Floating islands: Essentially a map that involves multiple locations much like the island map, however the only way to get to or from the locations is by jumping, or maybe taking a vaguely long but dangerous route. Of course every island below the top would have to have a way to shoot upwards so they couldn't just be rained down on. It also might be interesting to have a form of elevator in maps like this that lift or throw you if you drive onto/over them.

The reload times being reduced made ricochet and especially hammer way more dangerous. If you have heavy armor and avoid or move one shot from hammer you might survive even with a more long range weapon, but now that reload time just got decreased it's considerably easier for them to get right back on track. And ricochet can also go on longer runs of offensive much like Hammer will. Still, I'm willing to give it a shot. Maybe I can do better with a shaft. We'll see.
