  2. Oh, but MatchMaker is designed so: When you get thrown into a battle, you don't know which turret you will need - so you're just hosed. And 7 v 3 battles? Those NEVER happen because MatchMaker makes BALANCED battles, so why would anyone ever leave early? (/sarcasm) Meanwhile, another bug. See if you can tell what's wrong with THIS picture:
  3. I Am getting so sick of waiting every time I join a battle. Just tried to play a deathmatch battle. After waiting nearly 3 minutes, I reset - and waited 2 more minutes... and still nothing. So Tanki, if you're listening (and I doubt you are, but here goes anyway), PLEASE get rid of matchmaking. If you're not going to do that, then at least stop making people wait to join battles. Put them in a battle as soon as they click to start. Yeah, maybe you won't get the "perfect match" in a battle. You almost never even get a "good" match, let alone the perfect one anyway. But at least people won't have to sit and wait for no good reason. If that means battles start with 2 or 4 players that's FINE! You can even hold up a player until there's a corresponding player for the other team - so you add players in pairs to keep the numbers even. If one side is weaker, or behind in scoring, that team gets the stronger player from the new pair. But please END the waiting. It's miserable and stupid. And if you really want to improve Tanki - get rid of matchmaking.

  5. Why is the mission objective, "Top 3 on the WINNING team"? Shouldn't it just be "Top 3 REGARDLESS of TEAM"? The reason I ask, Matchmaker keeps dumping me in losing battles. I have the mission to accomplish. So does Tanki want me to just quit and wait for a game that is a whole game? Or am I expected to play, come out #1 on the losing team, beat one or all of the top 3 on the winning team - and get NOTHING?
  6. This change will be the death of Tanki. Here's why: By compressing all the players into fewer games all resources become more scarce. All missions become much more difficult. So restocking via missions is pretty much dead. In fact, completing missions will be much harder in all games. Second, there won't be any new players. Junior players are forced into battles with much more senior players. That's been true since Tanki decided to expand the rank range for battles. But before, junior players could find a server and a game where they could play each other and where the game might not be completely full. Since they can't really pick their battles anymore, they have no choice. Junior players will be forced into battles with players who are three, four, five even six ranks above them. Not only that, but there will be a lot of them. In the past if you were in a battle with 8 other players, most of whom were your own rank, with a couple higher ranking players, you could compete. But that won't happen any more, since basically ALL battles will be completely full. So what will happen is that where you used to have a bunch of 3d and 2nd Lieutenants fighting it out with a Major or two thrown in, now you will have a completely full battle with half the players being completely dominated. Being new players, they will quit and go play some game where they have a chance. And Tanki is toast. If you thought the number of new players was dropping off before - just wait until they have no choice but to be cannon fodder for more experienced players.
  7. Yeah, I had the same thing with FLAGS. I had 10 flags to capture, After about 7, I checked to see how many I had to go - still read zero. My mission chain is in jeopardy. Why doesn't Tanki focus on FIXING THIS KIND OF BUG and stop screwing around with the stuff people do not like?
  8. This is all part of the Tanki scheme to prevent people from completing their missions. How much you want to bet this "test" takes people out of their mission continuity at a rate never before seen? The whole point is to mess with tanki players - make them BUY victory. Tanki devs - or whoever came up with this overripe piece of scatalogical misadventure - you SUCK! This "update" is sh1t and you know it!
  9. The missions patch was, at best, a mistake. Together with the expanded ranks, it creates far (far, FAR) fewer useful missions. I have been on servers with a mission like "Capture 3 Flags" where there were over 50 battles going on. Only 5 of them were non-pro CTF. Three of them were complexly filled, and the remaining two were populated by tankers who were FIVE LEVELS above me. How long would it take those who DESIGNED this mess to capture 3 flags against a team of 8 tankers who were FIVE LEVELS HIGHER in rank? How about "forever"!!?? Why would the developers be so stupid as to design "daily" missions that take a WEEK or more to complete? The elimination of PRO battles to complete missions is quite possibly the DUMBEST update I've seen since I started playing Tanki.

    Tanki just keeps getting worse and worse. Get rid of the missions change. Roll back this pointless crap. 90% of the last two updates has been BAD for Tanki and Tanki players.

    Look at all the time Tanki is wasting on screwing things up - only to find out the changes were dumb and they have to spend MORE time to REVERSE what they did! You would think Tanki would learn from the change in micro-upgrades. TANKI: "Hey! Let's take something that WORKS and spend time making it WORSE! Let's make the micro-upgrades FIFTY STEPS! " Completely CRAZY!!!! Now Tanki devs are having to waste more time to undo the stupid change they made before! That's going to be the same with daily missions. If I want to get resources, I go to a resource-rich map. If I want to score kills, I go to a map with lots of killing. But Tanki wants to assign me to a random map that might not even HAVE what I need to complete my mission? THAT IS CRAZY! Might as well GET RID OF DAILY MISSIONS! Nobody is going to waste time pushing the "Battle" Button [Which is ANOTHER stupid Tanki change] hoping to get a battle that makes some sort of sense for the daily mission. It's a total waste. Tanki is a fun game. Why are the developers working so hard to make it a pain in the ass? HERE'S A HINT FOR THE TANKI DEVELOPERS: YOU SHOULD BE CONCENTRATING ON MAKING THE GAME MORE FUN - NOT MORE AGGRAVATING. I used to tell my friends about Tanki. I won't be doing that anymore. And if this turns out to be the pain-in-the-ass I think it will be, I'll stop playing too.
