eSports Summary 2017 Hello eSports fans! 2017 has been a successful year when it comes to eSports in Tanki. This year, we had a lot of tournaments, a lot of new winners and even new Veteran paint owners. Sounds confusing? I am here to clean up all of the mess for you! ______________________________________________________________________________________ January 2017 started right after the Clan Championship 9 ended. There were no clan tournaments in this month which allowed participants of the Clan Championship rest for the upcoming tournaments. Just as a reminder, the Clan Championship 9 winners were as follows: 1st place: Synergy 2nd place: Can’t Stop 3rd place: Eternity 4th place: Vavilon. 11th of January: The yearly ‘Winter Tandem’ tournament was announced! Winter Tandem as its name is a two versus two tournament. This tournament is perfect for those who like to play with all of the turrets. The tournament consisted of two stages: First stage: In this stage, once you lose a match you are out of the tournament. Second Stage: Double Elimination; Once you lose you move into a lower bracket to be eliminated, where two losses are needed. The tournament’s prizes didn’t include special paints, but what’s better than playing with your mate? The registrations for this tournament closed on the 12th of January. February On the 6th of February, the Russian eSports team organised the first team tournament of the year: TOF – Lord of The Points. This tournament was based on the regular TOF tournament but it was played in the CP mode. The tournament’s prizes included the Acid paint and the special module Spectrum M-B, along with lots of crystals and even XT equipment! On the 12th February the final match of ‘Winter Tandem’ was played! Two teams made it to the grand-final: Immortal_HeRo_DoW & Mr.BaHbKa123 and Vengeance & Kyzna. In the end, after an intense match, Immortal_HeRo_DoW & Mr.BaHbKa123 were crowned champions. On the 14th February 2017, the announcement of the German Kampf der Sterne tournament was made. There were two categories in this tournament: M3 category M2 category In M3 category, the participants were competing for the expensive “Star” paint which came with the Spectrum M-B module, lots of crystals, three months of premium, 15 Gold Boxes and 1 000 supplies! March/April Just before April, we saw the return of the yearly ‘Masters of the Swords Tournament’ which is based on the XP/BP format - which also happens to be the only format used in this tournament. The prize pool included the Gladiator paint and a new paint made by the Russian community called ‘Impulse’, which also comes with the Spectrum M-B module. The tournament had four categories: Clans Trio Tandem Solo In Clans category, only those sixteen clans who managed to earn enough points from the Blitz tournament were allowed to take part. Also, all of the players from Clans category were allowed to participate only in one more category (Solo or Tandem). Trio wasn’t allowed to all of the players from the Top 16 Clans. Each clan could register up to twelve players; and in every match, there were six players per team. The category consisted of two stages: Group Stage: Sixteen clans were distributed to four groups of four clans in each group. During the group stage, each clan would play twice against other clans from their group. After the match, each clan got points (for a win, a clan would receive 3 points; for a draw, 1 point; and finally, for a loss, 0). The clans who finished 1-2 place in their groups in Major League and First League, participated in the play-off stage. The second stage was the “Play-Offs”: This stage was in “Double Elimination" method - consisting of one match with four rounds. In the case of a tie, penalty round was played, which was a 3v3 on a map chosen before the match. Smoky and Thunder are totally different when it comes for the game play of each one of them. If you play well with Thunder it doesn't mean you will play well with Smoky and vice versa Isida, Freeze and Thunder are great for support. :)

Some of the paints look really nice but it would have been better if they were designed different from "Frost".
