I actually know a scary amount about this game. The rewards are very high. I've made 300k+ since Captain in crystals. Bounce on over to the newspaper section and try out for one of their contests. 1st place prizes are up to 30k. I've won 1st and 2nd in two "Describe this in 100 words" contests, for 25,000 and 20,000. Druggers and buyers are the very least of my concern in this game - they'll always be there, no point in complaining. I don't have very many supplies of my own, but I can manage to do my missions. Once I've done that, I'll spend a couple hours in ctf games on small maps with no time limit. those usually earn me more crystals than experience from battle. It's the crystal:experience ratio that matters. I've managed to make more crystals than experience since starting this account. The first few ranks are excluded since rewards really are very little then. Making 10k was a challenge, so I make 100k per rank. No, I am not trying to brag, I'm sharing my "lack of knowledge," so that newbies can learn hwo to make it through the game in the case they cant buy things. @I-Hate-Druggers is one of those players and has made an astounding amount of funds with my advice. That's really what I tend to do when I'm not playing, is to reach the largest audience of new players that I can, so maybe the issues most players face won't be as bad.

The past few days, 80% of the players have just been unskilled, lagging and brain dead, and it's annoying. I miss the old days were players were actually good. Not pointing fingers who's good or sucks, but it's easily agreeable most people playing these past few days have just been garbage. -
I won again! :D Not 1st this time, but 20k is still very welcomed!

How about you do it on Silence, use xp or bp, three buddies, Viking Rail on the three ramps, two to the side facing up, the middle one having one of your mines at the top, you ride on the middle Viking which should have mine protection, they shoot you, you do a flip and time your shot right to hit him as you flip off him, rank off the shot and OD through the air. The two viking rails to the side should have M2 Rail, since yellow from m3 and purple form m2 are complimentary colors. They fire at the same time, so three streaks of rail going through the sky, and some skrub with spectator to record from the front at the top of the ramp to the side. Land the flip.

I know you guys aren't very fond of me and there was that thing a while back, I think was a rumor of me wanting to kill HD like I did CC, but I got nothing on HD. I just hope that you don't...think too badly of me. I know you guys don't like spam, but only clan members are allowed in the skype group and I cant reach the full audience in PM

He got on me for that  Lol he recruited me into his in game clan, and kicked me without reason, nor told me i was going to be kicked xD On the other hand, I hope HD is doing well

The Basics - xp/bp Combos in Free Format Battles
Sliced replied to Sliced in The Basics - xp/bp Combos in Free Format Battles Writers' Corner
Ever notice how any enemy can attempt to take your team's flag and fail most of the time? Maybe they were Viking and Firebird, Titan and Twins or Hunter and Thunder? Full drugs and never get away, yet those pesky Hornet/Wasp Railgun users manage to sneak one out? How do they do it? Well, this article is to give you a look into how these players do it, and maybe you can try it out for yourselves! To start off, Railgun is no easy turret to master. With its long reload and one second charge up before firing, it doesn't seem too bad, but can take a lot longer than other turrets to get used to it, learn how to use it, and then become efficient with it. Like any other turret, Railgun can do better or worse on certain maps. It's good on maps like Berlin, Deathtrack, Kunger, Monte Carlo, Brest, etc, because they're medium or large and generally have open spaces. However, due to its reload, you'll need to be close to some sort of cover, to do so. What I like to do, is find my target, then the farthest spot away I can find to fire from - this is why you get hit by Railgun beams, only to never find the shooter and a bunch of your health is gone. This is how you clear out enemies around the base, aid a teammate in taking the flag, and/or stop an enemy right before they capture. This will also allow you to safely practice and learn how to increase accuracy. Once that's done, if you feel like going in for the flag, try and pick up a speed boost and double armor if you can. Now, instead of charging right to the flag, try staying along the outer walls of the map, because you'll be less noticeable, especially if you go behind walls and buildings. If somebody gives chase, shoot them once, find a skinny passage if there's one in the immediate vicinity, lay a mine and keep going. Your speed will allow you to escape heavier hulls and the mine with a single shot should take care of light hulls. With double armor, the only thing that can one shot you is a Railgun with the high caliber ammo alteration or Shaft, but these are not very common. Next, ignore all enemies who don't notice you - you're only drawing attention to yourself if you fire. If there are enemies by the flag, just speed in, take it, and get out if you can. Again, your speed will help you to do this. If at all possible, run for the nearest teammate - they'll slow down any enemy giving chase. Also, as you're heading back, use any means of making it, but also observe your surroundings to avoid enemies. If you can get the flag even half way back, you've done your part, since it's likely another teammate will pick it up. You will share experience for this capture if they don't give it back. If there's enemies near the base and/or the flag isn't there, stay a good distance away and try to find a wall high enough to hide the flag, so the enemies will need to do some searching to find you. I would not advise firing at any enemies near the base unless it's one or two and you have a teammate already working on it. Another important thing, possibly the most important aspect of Railgun, is timing. In times where each second counts, being able to speed at a corner, aimed to the side, where your turret isn't centered in the middle of the screen and being able to fire just as you round the corner AND hit your target, is very critical. Practice this after a battle restarts. Other shots are being able to fire, turn half way around or more and have your shot fire to hit a target to save time. I wouldn't worry too much about this. Occasional tries will lead to being able to do it naturally. Things to watch for are Railgun's small vertical firing cone, slow turret turning and recoil. Often I pop out of cover, take a shot and the recoil moves my tank enough so that I bump into the wall instead when trying to go back. This gets me killed in xp/bp battles a lot. So, when behind a wall, have at least half your tank's width between you and the wall. Also, because of the slow turret rotation speed, the aforementioned 180+ degree turns cannot be done without turning your hull as well. Your hull and turret turn at different speeds, so doing this will also be a tough task to learn. With Railgun's low vertical cone, you'll have to rock your tank often to increase it to make the shot. to make a shot at an enemy higher or lower than you and you don't have enough room to back up to make the shot, this will help. to hit somebody higher up, go backwards a tiny bit, then forward as you fire. This will raise the front end of your tank and lower the back end. This will angle your Railgun upwards. For a downwards shot, go forward, then back, so the opposite. While Wasp is best for this, Hornet's rocking ability is good enough to make most shots. Also, if you're on a ramp of some sort, you will still fire directly straight, so just keep that in mind if you're making a direct shot. However, your vertical aim will become diagonal, according to the new angle you're at. When you attack an opponent with a weapon that has reload, such as Thunder, Hammer, Shaft, or Railgun, there's a trick to avoid being hit if they engage you. Notice the modification of their turret and try to see how long their reload time is. Time your shot right and fire at the corner of their tank. This will turn them and they'll miss when they fire. Last, comes trolling! Heh, making the most impossible shots to trigger your opponents! No matter your skill level, you'll make a few of these. "These" can be any kind of shot. Attempting to shoot one guy, but being shot before you fire, then your aim gets knocked off and you kill somebody else across the map! Doing a full 360 turn, making a kill shot, dropping from above, knocking a Thunder's aim into a wall and they self destruct... -

Plus 136,000 for all the remaining rank up rewards up to Lt General. That's 621,870 in total.

The maths as a whole, to make a guesstimate of how many crystals, by the time you reach a rank is: ( z - v ) (( x + x1) / (y + y1 )) x - crystals made in battle / - divide y - exp made in battle z - exp of desired rank v - exp you have for x and y, you can add in as many as you want, just increase the coefficient by one to separate, so you can do as many battles as you want. If I did five battles, the x and y part would look like this: ( x + x1 + x2 + x3 + x4 / y + y1 + y2 + y3 + y4 ) I also took the liberty of coloring the text to show how it's done in order, starting with white, light grey and then dark grey. Whatever you get after putting x, and y together, multiply that by what you get for z and v. When you plug in your numbers, you do not need to use the coefficients. I'll put in random values to show how it's done: (787,000 - 156,000) ((100 + 120 + 382 + 223) / (180 + 210 + 426 + 250)) 787,000 is the exp needed to be Lt General. 156,000 is the amount to be WO5, so let's say this person has exactly that. 631,000 ( 825 / 1,066 ) Here we've done the first step, to add the x and y values and the z and v values. 631,000 ( 0.77 ) Here we divided. Round to the nearest hundredth. 485,870 Finally, we multiplied 631,000 and 0.77 to get 485,870 crystals. Please note that this is only calculating funds from battle.

Your M2 kit will be exceptionally good for the first 1 - 3 ranks, depending on the kit you get. But as you reach Captain, you will often be in battles containing M3 players with insane skill levels. It'll will be an even bigger challenge to get through the higher-end mid-ranks. All you need is a crap load of patience to make it through. Keep doing what you've been doing to earn as many crystals as you can and you'll get there. Once you break through this boredom of the game, you'll be wanting to try and familiarize yourself with your kit as much as you can, because as a free player, it's crucial which 1 or 2 hulls and turrets you buy. I'd prefer to make sure any combo with the items I have to work well and tailor to your skill/preferences. On my last account I had 3 hulls and turrets (bought too many which is why i quit on it). They were M2 Smoky, M2 Railgun, M2 Hammer, M2 Hornet, M2 Dictator and M2 Viking. The only two combos that didn't really work well for me were Dictator Hammer and Hornet Smoky. On this account, as you know, I have only two turrets and only one hull. Hornet works very well for me with the turrets I have and I'm extremely skilled with both. However, they don't work well in all situations, so some battles are a struggle for me. Big, open maps or small and cramped ones you'll find I'm worst at, such as Madness and Polygon. As you rank up, try to pay attention to the crystal/experience ratios you get at the end of your battles, the experience you have currently, and the difference between that and Lt. General where you get M3 kits. To guesstimate how many crystals you'll make, divide the remaining exp to Lt. General by how many crystals you make per every 1 exp. So, if I make 500 exp in a battle and 435 crystals, divide what you earned in crystals by the exp you made. 435 divided by 500 = 0.87. Record this then do a few more battles. Say you end up with 0.94 on the second one and you get lucky to have 1.1 on the last. Add 0.87 + 0.94 + 1.1 = 2.91. Divide that by how many battles you did. 3 in this case and you get 0.97. Then, multiply the exp you need to get to Lt. General by this number. I have roughly 310,000 exp to get there. I'd get 310,000 times 0.97 = 300,700. That's pretty high from just battles. This will be very inconsistent, so do this often. Also, add up all the rewards from rank ups and add it onto that number. For me, it's 16,000 plus 17,000 plus 18,000 plus 20,000, is 61,000. This plus 300,700 is 361,700.
