That’s the thing. That’s why I was thinking of keeping 5/10 so I don’t have to wait as much. IMO rico m3 appearance/skin > all other turrets. It’s just looks so great. Also I heard it’s a god at m3. With magnum I swear I never get a kd above 0.5 and always ranked bottom 3 in every battle. Played with it for 4 hours and still cannot figure out how to hit moving targets. Is it really worth the frustration? Maybe I need more time idk I was planning on getting railgun but too much protection which is why I switched to Rico long ago.

I’m thinking of buying railgun but doesn’t it have heck loads of protection against it? Could anyone fill me in on how common rail gun protection modules are these days? I expect it must have changed(haven’t used since 2014). P.s: Too lazy to look at wiki but can rail still one shot wasps of same modification?

But doesn’t MUing make it a waste of money to buy an m3 kit. For example if a person had fully upgraded Rico and hunter m2 and wants to buy redneck kit. Then they would have to wait longer till Marshal till they can upgrade to m4. Correct me if I’m wrong. Also I’m glad u said magnum was a good. My worry is whether it will be nerfed as everyone thinks it’s way too strong.In addition, if u don’t mind me asking, how long would u say it would take to get decent at magnum?

Hey all My friend currently has around 290k. He has rico and hunter m2 both MUed 5/10. He is also a major. He wanted to know whether he should buy magnum m2 and I was thinking the same thing. Is it worth it? I heard its quite hard to play with. He's also considering to get the atlas kit only to get smoky m2 as he thinks titan m2 is useless. What would you guys advise? He doesnt play much and he doesnt think he will be able to rank to colonel to get smoky m2 individually.

Why would you buy both kits? Save up for annihalitor if you want but there are better kits out there imo. The crystals that you save from not buying the fireworks kit can help with MUs.

I dont think u've read the smoky discussion thread but from what I understand it sounds like it has been weakened considerably. Thats not even the point. The point is that ricochet gets a much better upgrade than smoky at m3. Why do so many people have smoky at m3 u might ask? Because of paladin kit and how cheap(knockoff) it is. With alt, rico has similar effective range to smoky and even less damage drop with range it seems like. Rico does more damage too. So what does smoky have over ricochet? Critical chance only. However, you're correct in one way. With rico protection common at m3 smoky definitely has it easier there. And smoky can beat rico of it crits. Unless it crits a lot at m3 im totally wrong.

Jackhammer kit or turtle kit? I know that turtle has a great module which makes it better than paladin imo and I am a hunter fan too. Idk what module jackhammer has but I want to know which kit is better still. Maybe viking m3 is better than hunter or vice versa? I play different maps and modes with the exception of CP. Another thing I want to ask is that if I fully MU just my m2 ricochet(with some MUs at sales and some not without speed ups) will I be able to save for either of the kits?

I just have a question about MUs. Should they only be done in sales like this one or can they be done without?(regarding the fact that I dont do speed ups and have 110k). I have ricochet m2 thats already has 3 Mus on it. Should I continue with this or buy thunder m2?

If you buy ricochet, its ok but its only really good with an alteration. By alteration I mean the minus field stabilization one. It only makes rico better. If you are willing to buy the alteration, go rico. If not then I would go for smoky. Even spending extra crystals on the atl makes rico more worth it imho. The doubled speed can help you do truly wonderful things with your angles for some reason.

Best solution to someone who knows how to play short-range. Unfortunately, I don't. I spend too much time on my only gun, ricochet.

The general rule is that the later unlocked a gun is or the more expensive, the better it is. This seems to be true actually as many people claim that these kits are the best but not just that, I see those kits topping most of the time and so do other people. Ricochet will surely be good with MUs I agree with you. And another thing, I hear from some people that you should ONLY MU on sale even if it isnt a speed up. The truth is that these sales don't exactly come everyday and we should not expect them too. Should I MU nonetheless? ( i wont speed up). Also how many MUs should I apply to my ricochet? As for the m3 kit, I was going to buy redneck but nvm. Which should I buy(any kit that has a medium hull?

I have 110k and I am 12k of ranking to Captain. At the moment, I use the Juggler kit with 2 MUs on my ricochet and a single MU on hunter. I am going to be facing high ranking players very soon with either tons of MUs or the best m2 kits like northerner, glaze or atlas. I want to be able to be effective or last till lieutenant general. These are the options I have considered so far. 1) MU my combo Pros: * I can use the turret I have used for ages * It would be able to compete with higher lvls Cons: * Buying an m3 kit with the same combo would give you less of an advantage ( what I mean is that if u have a rico 2.5 and u get a rico m3 in a kit, you only get a 0.5 upgrade). The kit im talking about is redneck and paying over 400k for 0.5 upgrade doesnt seem to be worth it. Question: How many MUs can I put onto my combo so that I can last till lieutenant general and compete with the higher level players whilst getting the most out of an m3 kit purchase when I reach the rank? 2) Buy a late-unlocking/ good m2 kit Pros: * Strong combo * Would be able to match with higher level players Cons: *Limited options due to the fact that I already have a medium hull so I can't get kits that contain medium hulls. I'm not a fan of heavy or light hulls. This means that if I do buy a kit with a medium hull I will not be getting my crystal's worth. *The kit combo would also have to be MUed to keep it effective. Question: How effective and versatile if the Atlas kit (I kind of dislike titan due to its slow speed. It makes it a sitting duck in DMs but maybe its better than I think)? And how many MUs would I have to apply to it so that it lasts till lieutenant general? 3) Tough it out and don't spend anything untill I reach lieuetent general. Pros: *Save a lot of money Cons: *Terrible and boring ranking experience as using weaker, degraded equipment makes ranking harder and you earn less crystals. Question: Is it worth it? Another thing I want to say is that I have the digital legacy module if anyone thinks that it should be considered. Which option should I pick and why? Answers to the questions would be great as well. The reason why this post is so long? I need to make the right, informed decision. I need to save money whilst surviving the higher ranks and get the most out of the m3 kit I buy which will probably be redneck as I like ricochet but I am happy to change for the better. I want to know what you guys think. I have posted questions like these before but only got few responses which was not enough to base my decision on. Once again, I am very sorry for the long read. If I MU my m2 combo I wont be able to start upgrading it to m4 untill Marshall and wont i be wasting the crystals i can use to get m4s? I have heard from some that this is a bad idea but if you could explain it to me I would be grateful.If I fully MU will there still be enough crystals to MU to m4 after I buy an m3 kit? I am very confused. Also I want to know whether smoky or ricochet does better at m3-m4 level in general. Thank you.
