It's still the same system as before, when MU your hull/turret (without speed-ups) it will cost you the same as buying the next modification, for example Wasp:
MU MK6 to MK7 (without speed boost) will cost you 130,000 crystals Buying the MK7 modification will cost you 130,000 Crystals
