Man, I really do detest the forced MMS Every week, I get the urge to play, but the moment I'm put on a waiting list and in a map that doesn't suit my play style or I have to change equipment and the battles are super short and aaaaahhhh it just kills it for me. And yes I'm aware PRO battles are a thing

Why isn't MM optional
-
This piece of crap is still not optional? Crap.

Magnum - or at least, a mortar-like gun - was an expressed desire of many people. Removing it is going to be incredibly inconsiderate towards all those who have adapted to it and those who have invested in the gun. I personally only find it mildly annoying

It's been getting further and further away from us for a couple of years now. It disappeared completely a couple days ago, coUgH cOuGh hint hint

Look, it's understandable that the developers want to implement a matchmaking system. The only problem is that they're not making it an option, they're making it a requirement to play. I have no problem with a matchmaking system so long as we get the choice to use it or not. Instead of forcing players to use MM, thus alienating literally thousands of people, why not just make it optional? Make it so that it has obvious crystal/exp advantages over regular battles where you can choose the map and battle yourself. (e.g, better rewards for the losing team). That will appeal to more people, and I guarantee that many of us will occasionally play on MM even if we're hating on it right now. There's no problem with MM itself. The problem lies in that you have taken away our freedom of choice. And if it's something you persist in, then I'll be jumping ship. Permanently.

Does anyone have enough money to buy TO completely, fire the developers, and replace them with a new team that actually cares about the community? I can contribute some if needed

Is it just me or is the number of players around this time usually at ~ 20k? It's at half that number right now XD
-
Remember those massive 20v20 Dusseldorf battles? Yeah... Wonder if that's ever coming back ._.
-
One thing, really: Listen To their players. Develop ideas alongside them and communicate with them as much as possible before implementing updates That will keep most of the people who still play, but to bring in newer gamers, they'll probably have to advertise some

DEMOCRACY!! XD

Instead of changing around the game play and fidgeting with things that are mostly fine as they are, they should work on the graphics. This community is relatively large. Why not gather some artists and get new models for those wonky 2D bushes we've had since way back when? Add some trees, maybe. Add more detail to textures, improve the dust trails and muzzle flashes, get the game to look a little more shiny and less old.

What?? XD Let's not bring politics into this. Treat the developers as people - ignore where they come from or what they're related to and just focus on what they're actually doing

Does anyone know why it was decided to remove the server list from the game? I don't see why it would be a problem. I always liked having it there, and being able to hop around the servers showed the true size of Tanki's player base. It always felt like each server was its own little world. Different chat, different players, different levels of activity. Some quiet, some crowded. Then the list was removed, effectively restraining us to one single server, short of manually typing out the links. It made the game seem smaller, less diverse. Restricted. Then MM comes along, and now we don't even have that one list. Now when I play, I never feel surrounded by thousands of other players. I just see the 'Play!' buttons, with no battle list, no map thumbnails and teams with the names of their participants displayed. I no longer feel like I'm in a multiplayer game, with a server reach spanning several dozen, all filled with fellow gamers. It feels claustrophobic at times -_- And yes I know there are still pro battles.
