  1. You won't be "done quickly" when there are 13 other tanks that outrank you by up to six levels. At this point, I think Tanki is so badly broken that the only thing that will make it worthwhile is if the Unified Battle List is eliminated and the lame-ass repair box change is reversed. I may sign in from time to time to see if Tanki politicians have come to their senses. I don't hold out much hope for that - they've shown themselves to be unbelievably pig-headed in the past. so I guess what I'm saying is: I'm done. Goodbye Tanki!
  2. The biggest problem with Tanki is they never consider the unintended consequences of changes to the software. For example, the addition of crystal missions means that a player is no longer dependent on his OWN performance in a battle but the performance of his entire team. That sounds good except for two things - people are free to choose which side to join and when to leave a battle. Consider a TDM battle where the teams are numerically even and red leads blue 30 to 20. In the past, you might have joined the blue team to make the battle more competitive. Close battles are a good thing, and more fun for everyone. Sure, you might not get the same crystals, but it could be worth it. With crystal missions, not being on the winning team probably means you have to play multiple games to complete your mission. If you see the game above, you join the red team, not just because you get more crystals, but because you get to finish your mission in half the time. Of course, this is less fun for everyone because the battle becomes even more lop-sided. People on the losing team will see this and they will quit the game, making the battle even MORE uneven and even less fun. So the unintended consequence of crystal missions is that they result in a lot of games that become "unstable", prone to one side quitting and a lot less fun for all players. Any thought given to the matter would have made this immediately obvious - but Tanki does not think through the consequences of changes. Their attitude is "READY - FIRE!... AIM!" It's as if they make random changes to the game and just wait to see how many people quit. The unified battle list is a similar problem. Instead of having lots of games with varying numbers of players, they are trying to cram as many people as possible into every game. This makes even simple missions like "collect 5 speed boxes" difficult to accomplish. It also means that noobs get stuffed into games with much higher ranking players - who simply use them for target practice. Every game will have players who join or leave. The idea for a successful company is to have more players joining than leaving. But if you make it impossible for new players to compete, they will leave and Tanki won't have any growth. It doesn't matter if you have a "noob" exception. The fact that at some level players will be forced into battles full of much higher ranked players as a routine matter means that at some point they will encounter the same problem - and probably quit. Personally, I'm only sticking around long enough to see if Tanki comes to its senses and REVERSES this code change, as happened before with that steaming pile of excrement of automatic battle matching. When that happened, I quit playing for a few days... the first time I'd missed playing since they introduced weekly missions. If they don't fix this mess, I will quit again. And I won't look back.
