    Matchmaking is coming May 29th

Yeah, I'm done. Back to Fortnite. What frustration with this rubbish match making. I will play Tanki once in awhile, but this match making crap is just too much to bother with. This thread has all the reasons stated many many times. The time spent waiting to get put on the losing side of a half finished battle just to get trashed by players ten ranks above you is just lame. Just too much downtime and humbug matches for the very few battles that are decent. The previous system was much much better. I'll try Tanki again in a couple of months, maybe they will have gotten rid of MM by then. I'm glad LittleWillie likes playing Tanki under the idiotic MM system. As far as I can tell he must be the only player that likes it. I sure don't.

    1. Read my post again. I never said constantly. Getting tossed into one or two minute battles does happen and it is infuriating. I am put on the losing side about as much as getting to start a new battle. I don't think I have ever been put on the winning side in an ongoing battle. 2. We have to play MM to generate income unless we send in our money to become buyers. 3. What are these alleged weak points that MM has improved? Name one. I see absolutely no improvement in any aspect with the MM system. The big pitch was MM would eliminate mults. I see more mults, or players acting like mults than I ever did before. And selecting your own map was a weak point...Bro, PLEASE! 4. You gotta be high or something.

The Evolution of the new Tanki Online

This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but buyers should be able to dominate the game. They support the game by buying. We free players get to play for free because of their buying. It is true that if free players didn't play there would be no, or very few buyers, so we add to the game, but the engine that runs the game is buyers get to wipe out non-buyers. the bright side is ANYONE can be a buyer and join the ranks of the dominant. It's a good system even though I hate getting trounced from time to time by some nasty low life blankty blank buyer, but it does keep the game alive.

    Team spirit diminishing in Tanki

This is probably good advise. The ProBattle circuit is, most likely, about the same as it was before MM. Maybe even more lively and I would guess much of the negative social aspects that have been brought about by MM are not in ProBattles. The sad part is that this lack of "team" in standard battles is just one more thing that takes away part of the fun in Tanki. Most players still need to play Standard battles to complete missions so they have to put up with un-fun.

The Forum is censoring all threads about Match Making

They close every thread started that is related to MM. ALL MM related discussion needs to go into "News and Announcements" No possibility of polls or other opinions discussing MM in the "Game Discussion" section of the forum. Bury everything about MM among the thousands of post in one single thread. Try starting any thread that mentions Match Making and see what happens. They close the thread in a few minutes to hours. They don't even merge the thread, they just make it go away. Pitiful

    Let's Discuss Match Making...with poll

This link is an old topic about MM being introduced. MM was introduced quite a long time ago; several weeks. This current topic has a poll which the other does not and asks a simple question if people like or dislike MM. It is also in an appropriate section of the forum "Game Discussion" as opposed to "Developers' Information → News and Announcements" section where thread of the link you posted is located.

I would counter much of what you have said here but most of it is so far off base that it's not worth the bother. It takes all sorts of opinions to make a forum so you opinion is welcome, thanks for taking the time to write it. Are you actually Hazel-Rah on an alt account? Hard to believe anyone other than him could actually be so gung-ho about MisMatchMaking.

Match Making. Long waits. No choice or control. Entering almost completed battles and generally on the losing side. Out of balance rank brackets. Very long waits in off hours. Monotonous game play. Loss of team spirit. Little chance to connect with teammates or opposition. Out of balance team numbers. Battle to queue, battle to queue, over and over...no continuity. Lots more ugly aspects. What's to like?

What do you think of Match Making? A simple vote of good (Yes), bad (No) or don't care may tell us a lot. Please feel free to expound on your vote in the thread here.

MM means the loss of all choice and control. It is unpopular because it is crap not because it is harder. Waiting a minute or two or sometimes even more for a game that has a minute or two left is infuriating. It has nothing to do with harder gameplay. Being thrown into battles constantly on the losing side where most of the team keeps quitting is certainly harder, in fact impossible. I think a massive amount of players would have already quit if Tanki had not changed the reward system and made losing more attractive. Comfort zone or not, it should be up to the players how they wish to play. That was one of the very best things about Tanki. You could decide how you wanted to play. Now there is only the MM way or don't play. This is definitely a step backwards in evolution. If you can't see that, you are either a paid shill from Tanki or have massive tolerance and rather odd tastes. The game has lost much of what made it great. It is still playable, but I doubt anyone will play as much or often as they used to.

I have been playing off and on for quite some time. Before the matchmaking you could get a sense of who you were playing with and against. This was conducive to friendships being made and certainly a feeling of team and usually team work. Now with matchmaking and the shorter duration of games, there is no teamwork. If fact there is almost an adversarial attitude even on your own team. It's every player for themselves. There have always been rude players, but not like this. It is impossible to connect with any player since you will be off their team in a matter of minutes and you will probably never be in a battle with them again. You could invite them to be a friend if you even notice someone you are playing with or against, but what then? They just become a name on a useless list. Besides all the other things that matchmaking has taken away from Tanki, interaction of the community may not be as appearant, but it will become more clear as time goes on. Shame on the developers for their shortsightedness and for doing what they have done to what was once a really fun and interactive game. I will continue to play Tanki once in awhile, but even less than before. Why bother? I don't like the long waits to go into a battle on the losing team with only a couple of minutes left and then have another long wait to do the same thing again. Especially when there is no connection, at all, between any of the players now. You people should get a developer that actually plays and likes Tanki because the fools that have done this to the game obviously have no clue as to what the game is, or was, like to play. POSTSCRIPT: I posted this as a topic to discuss whether other people had noticed the same thing as I have since matchmaking came into being. Most of the responders basically said it was my imagination and has always been like this. The point is I wanted different peoples opinion since I already know what my opinion is. The topic was closed in just a few hours under the guise of being posted in the wrong place. It should be here, buried with the hundreds and hundreds of posts complaining about matchmaking. This is censorship, plain and simple. Bad press about matchmaking, quash it asap or throw it into oblivion where only a few like minded complainers will ever see it.

    Team spirit diminishing in Tanki

I have been playing off and on for quite some time. Before the most recent update you could get a sense of who you were playing with and against. This was conducive to friendships being made and certainly a feeling of team and usually team work. Now with this latest update and the shorter duration of games, there is no teamwork. If fact there is almost an adversarial attitude even on your own team. It's every player for themselves. There have always been rude players, but not like this. It is impossible to connect with any player since you will be off their team in a matter of minutes and you will probably never be in a battle with them again. You people should get a developer that actually plays and likes Tanki because the fools that have done this to the game obviously have no clue as to what the game is, or was, like to play. I posted this earlier and the thread was closed in a few hours which smacks of utter censorship. Your game is imploding and all you can think to do is shut people up. This topic is not about matchmaking, it is about the loss of comradeship and friends and getting to know players within battles and how that seems to have changes.

    Influx of non-team players?

So, since fewer and fewer players will be playing Tanki, matchmaking will be getting progressively worse, not better...great news. :(

    Influx of non-team players?

Coincidentally, I just finished a topic that relates to this thread called "Match Making is killing team spirit and community" I have noticed what you are talking about and I don't think it is just kids. I think it is actively angry players lashing out in the only way they can against Tanki and what has been done to their game. I have seen so much more rudeness and selfishness since matchmaking started that I play the game even less than I did before. When I do play I see no team-ness. There has always been a large element of harsh talk and baiting but players almost always pulled together to try and win. Now there is no feel of the team helping the team to win. The guys you are playing with at the moment are just that, in a few minutes you and they will be in other matches on other maps in other modes and will probably never bump into each other again. It's become very repetitive and soulless. I think Tanki will see more of what you describe in this thread. Eventually those players will probably just quit the game when they get tired of actively trying to riot and ruin it for everyone. But in the short term, I would guess there will be more. Tanki has abused it's players and the players have no way to fight back so they try to wreck it for everyone else.
  15. Please! Have you been playing Tanki? Maybe at your rank things are better, but at my rank, it is terrible. And it is not something I am looking for as you suggest...why would I look for something like that? It is something I have noticed when I played occasionally in the last couple of weeks. It is so bad that I decided to post something about in on the forum.
