  1. If you're just now announcing that we can swap out members, why don't you just delay the deadline for entries for another week? It seems the whole point of delaying the deadline is to account for the difficulty of the trick, so applying that same logic, 2 days isn't enough to swap out members and do the trick again with these new people who are unfamiliar with the trick... Edit: Can we just notify the Organizers if we want to switch out a member, or would we have to redo the trick with the new member(s)?
  2. Congrats to @Quebec on joining the Event Helper team! I will just go out on a limb and guess you live in Quebec, Canada, so it's nice to see another North American Helper! ?

    Migrating to HTML5: your thoughts

The issues I mainly have with the HTML5 version include the following: Physics changes - When parkouring, tanks seem to "stick" to walls and other tanks as if they are magnets; parkour scene will be completely ruined if this isn't fixed Colors appear washed out/highly saturated - Simple fix and will make the game look tons better if done Other than those issues, I love the HTML5 version, and I use it for everything other than parkour (for the above reason).
  4. I'm becoming increasingly worried... My team submitted our entry something like 15 hours ago, and our entry still hasn't been approved/denied, and if this doesn't change quickly, we won't have time to redo it before the deadline if needed...

    Flash restrictions

If I had anything negative stuff to say on any of the new updates, I would have said it. I respect my administrators, but I wouldn't mind speaking my opinion on stuff, no matter the consequences attached to it. I have read through Players' opinions on this specific issue, but I haven't experienced it personally. Whenever I make a Forum post, I typically am only sharing my personal opinion, as I am not in a Helper position that requires posting content on this Forum that represents the average Player opinion. If I was a Forum Moderator, for example, I would provide average statements from the majority of Players, but I'm not in this position. I was the same way, reluctant to switch to using HTML5 because it felt so much different than the Flash version. Regardless, I kept playing with that version because I knew there'd be a point in which that version would have to be my primary/only way of playing Tanki Online. Through that time, I got used to the new interface, camera, graphics, etc., and I don't mind using it, and the lack of errors makes me want to use it over the Flash version. I didn't drink any sort of beverage to encourage bad behavior (you obviously know which drinks I am talking about), I am just getting fed up with people spamming my DMs on Discord with statements like "Oh my gosh, why do you still play that dead game?" or "Tanki is dead, and only noobs play it," as well as seeing similar Forum posts. There's still a heavy player-base to this game, and it has already been mentioned before (in the "Tuesday with Marcus" stream) that the Developers will take actions to advertise the game once the Flash version is killed off (as the game will be much more update-to-date with today's game standards after that version is removed). We've seen games like Rocket League surge in popularity after new advertising techniques and promotions occurred, and I definitely think this will be the same case with Tanki Online. To those people making posts about the game being "dead," simply stop playing it; there's nobody forcing you to continue playing it, and it's not encouraged to keep doing something you don't enjoy. And guys, before another one of you quotes me and says something like "well, you're a Helper, you're just defending the game," just know, this is my honest opinion, and there's been times I thought about leaving my Helper positions, but never about leaving the game (even if I'm not a Helper of the game, I will continue to play this game; I enjoy it thoroughly). I also urge all of you to keep your messages clean, and find the good in everything (because there's always a "silver lining" to any bad thing). Thank you for reading.

    Flash restrictions

The amount of complaining over switching from a working client to another better working client with very simple interface changes is honestly bewildering to me... I use HTML5 whenever I play Matchmaking battles, it works 10x better than the Flash version. I don't understand why some people are so reluctant to switch to the HTML5 version. Sure, the graphics might not be the best right now, but I ensure you, they will fix this in the coming months, as they won't need to support the Flash version anymore.
  7. I am fairly skilled at Ricochet with Plasma Torch parkour with Mk1 Wasp (I can control myself in the air pretty well, which is hard to do on Wasp Mk1). When Lightweight Augments were released, and I got my hands on this Augment for Hornet, I became significantly better at this type of parkour in a blink of an eye, as Hornet is much easier to control while flying in the air. The Organizers didn't make these Augments available for use because they are also aware that Hornet (as well as other hulls with Lightweight equipped) are easier to control in the air than Wasp Mk1 is. Now, you might then say "well, Plasma Torch isn't allowed, so how does it matter then?" Again, regardless of whether you are parkouring with Ricochet or not, Lightweight of any hull is easy to control while flying (even Lightweight for Wasp is easier than Wasp Mk1, as Wasp Mk7 has a good amount of speed that helps maneuver it better). And lastly, applying your same logic, why isn't Space Mode allowed for some tricks? It is only intended for parkour after all, right? Both examples fall in the same category of making the tricks in this contest much easier, which is why they're not allowed.

They did say that the hull is in its early-release stage, so I'm going to bet it'll be available for crystals once it fully releases.
  11. Congrats to @Pout on his promotion to Designer Admin! Continue to wow us with your designs ?

  13. Congrats to @Goges.Enze on his promotion to Head Admin! You've genuinely helped the community develop a ton, so I know you will continue to do within this new position. Good job, keep up the excellent work!

This will be revolutionary for parkour! ?

Can't wait to ruin my sleep schedule playing this event all weekend ?
  16. Don't worry, I bet there will be some challenges down the line that are hard for M0 and much easier with M3. For example, we saw it last year with the double sign trick in Gubahka (flying with M0 is pretty hard to control, M3 has a much smoother path through the air)

Petition to keep flash player !!!

Alright, let's petition to a multi-billion dollar company to keep a software that was already outdated years ago (2017, I'd say)... Yeah, we definitely have a shot at keeping Flash around!
  18. Congratulations to my Help Site Consultant friend and eSports Team Leader @adab_online for becoming the new Parkour Clubs Manager! Good luck with your position, and I hope you do well! ?

  21. Congrats to my friend @iFros on joining the Chat Mod team! I remember when you were a Forum Mod...Fun times ?
  22. Can we just simply include the team name in the name of the battle we will be completing the objective, or just put the challenge number then our team name? My team's preferred name is 5 letters too long to write "Contest #1 - TEAM NAME."
