Episode 171 of the V-LOG has rolled out!

The second option :) However, I think you have unintentionally missed the irony of your statement, because Tanki is doing exactly the first! It's not about personal preference for the updates or changes. Stop and think for a moment - how would you feel if Tanki took away your best turret and hull for the sake of "change" and gave you consumables (supplies) as compensation? Nowadays with daily missions supplies are worthless! That is not much different to what Tanki is doing now. Those who spent millions creating their garage of paints so that they could have more combinations to play in game, suddenly have that stripped away without proper reimbursement. Just see the track record, though my previous posts - too many that I can't be bothered to mention them all. But it's a constant theme. For example, they advertise a special paint as a one-off purchase, then hey-ho they put it in containers! Is that not misleading those players who bought the paint because it was advertised to them as a special one-off purchase? How long do you think Tanki had this change in protection modules in mind? Don't you think they should have bothered to tell us earlier - and not a few weeks before release? If you had read my original post, you would have realised it is not the change per se that I am upset about - it is a matter of trust, honesty and respect for the community, especially those who have invested most into the game. The update may not affect you - but it sure as hell stings for those who have been most invested and loyal in the game!

Thanks for this - my point exactly (1). Now please convince your colleagues to also be honest, rather than try to perpetrate Tanki as a game who IS making such updates for the interests of "balance" and "change" per se.

Old story. Changes like these make players lose trust in the game. Even with the introduction of the new tiple modules, players that invested hundreds into upgrading the legacy modules they lost out. No surprise the numbers playing tanki have halved in just the last few years. Tanki is a business no doubt about it. Introduction of microupgrades, dramatic "rebalances", premium, shortening of supplies, containers, now drones and batteries - are designed to increase investment into the game, making it more expensive to play. I recently started a new account and the amount of special bundles I get offered now is insane! In itself, I have no problem with that and if I were administration I would surely be thinking of ways to increase my revenue. However, two things really annoy me. 1) People blinding defending tanki by pushing for the fact that money is NOT on the forefront of their mind - clearly they are choosing to ignore the obvious. You simply have to look at the track record - "tanki are changing things up", "the game needs to evolve", "new players need to be able to enjoy the game" are all secondary reasons to a primary one. I don't think its ignorance, I think its delusion. It's no surprise that most of these players are moderators. And as a former moderator myself, I won't be ashamed to admit that! 2) The fact that it seems Tanki is undervaluing the players. Sure, add a new feature to the game - make some changes that are fresh and improve gameplay experience. Encourage more spending by making the game more diverse and more fun - this is the way most game companies make their revenue. However, they do not do this at the expense of misleading players, including those ones that are most invested in the game. With this update, players have simply ended up investing cash into buying consumable batteries. Do you think that's compensatory? Best option: do not invest into the game because you simply cannot say what will become of your items down the line! I enjoy the gameplay experience still, but not another cent in the game. The more I invest, the more I am hurt when updates like these come out.

Well rehearsed. Unfortunately through all your efforts you have made two points: "change is good" and "some gain some lose". Not only are those not the issues that are being raised, but you have come across as severely hypocritical: Those of us who are expressing our opinions on here are, in your own words, "expressing our own opinions in words". But hey, if you want to call it "blind hate" that shows your ignorance in not reading the reasons for said opinions. Further to that point, downvotes gives a VERY clear indication of how the community is receiving the update - I can't see how removing it is in the interests of helping developers understand what the players are unhappy about. Clearly that was not the reason for removing downvotes. I think you are asking the right questions though - are we considering everyone in the community? As far as your answer is concerned, you have actually dismissed that yourself as a matter of "some gain some lose". You are the one, my friend, who should be considering the views of those on here who are very unhappy with this update. _________________________________________ Regardless, the original point still remains - those of us who have invested most into this game have had our equipment taken away and replaced with temporary supplies. They may as well be speedbosts. If you cannot be bothered to see the issues that are being raised, don't bother replying.

I always notice a tendency of moderators to react positively. Indeed, having formerly been a moderator we were not allowed to talk negatively. But please, have some empathy for those of us who aren't generously paid in crystals and who feel scammed when Tanki pulls stunts like this. You just have to look at who like the original post - 90% mods. Back in the day with the dislike button such developments would have -100 downvotes. See above comment. Mods sitting pretty anyway!

Dear Tanki, When I go to the shop and buy an apple, I don't expect the owners to simply give me an orange and tell me that its worth the same amount. With the introduction of the new modules you made the legacy modules redundant - already leaving a bad taste in the mouths of those who have invested the most into your game. Now you want to simply remove them from the game and cash me with supplies? Is that sufficient compensation? Why don't you stop for a second and ask yourselves why numbers in this game are crashing? Why old-timers in the game are leaving? - not because they dislike the gameplay, but because they are sick of greedy developers who don't care for those why pay into their game. I am appalled with this - and I assure you not a single cent more will be spent in this game. Kind regards
